So it's still not clear if Saraya is a wrestler or on air personality yet after coming out to speak for a bit which over shadowed Toni the champ and declaring a lumberjil match likes she's a GM. lol It's annoying they have seemed to delayed the Jamie Hayter - Baker break up for Saraya, I'm worried it's gonna cool her off like the Thunder Rosa - Baker fued.
Oh well, at least the Mox and Jericho matches were cool.
I know it's been awhile since I discusses wrestling but I am about a month behind on AEW and don't want to see spoilers.
That said I did watch All Out 2022 the other day and what a great show. I will admit I was disappointed by the Jungle Boy/Chrisitan Cage match, I was looking forward to a big blow out match but for whatever reason we got what we did. I am wondering if Christian was injured because he had his arm all bandged up.
I really liked how they handled MJF's return and I thought it was brilliant. The direction they were going was awesome too, shame we won't see the end result due to CM Punk's b.s.
I have the following week off from work, so I am hoping to get all caught up by Full Gear.

I love Wrestle Kingdom partly because I love NJPW's hard hitting style but also because I can watch it live without having to worry about the time zone differences and it's always more exciting watching something live.
Omega’s return against Will Ospreay is obviously gonna be a great match but Zack Sabre Jr vs Ren Narita I’m hoping is a banger.
Kairi is wrestling atm and I'm just waiting for Sasha Banks to turn up.
Nice to see another former WWE star break the shackles of WWE. I can't wait to see what Mercedes does in NJPW,.and who knows maybe we will see her pop up in AEW at some point.

There's no better way to start a hangover Sunday morning than watching the Royal Rumble!
I'm on the men's at the moment and I can't help but feel them announcing Cody was coming back was a mistake as with The Rock being talked about for the main event of 'mania but not turning up there was no real surprises which is half the fun of the Rumble. I felt a swerve like Sami who's over like rover winning would have gone far, you knew Cody was winning as soon as he was injured months ago. I did have some hope Big E would be back as the big shock moment but it looks his career might be over now sadly with how long he's been out with his neck injury.
Now onto the rest of 4 hour card. With the lack of shocks in the Men's there better be something big happening with the Women's like Sasha or Noami returning, a legend like Trish Stratus winning to set up a marquee match or a WTF winner like Sonya Deville.
@ElRoberico Unfortunately I had to work tonight so I can go to Dynamite on Wednesday. I am hopefully going to watch the replay on Tuesday or Wednesday so I won't be in the dark on Wednesday.

@Tasuki IT'S SO GOOD! Like everything is firing on all cylinders. There are maybe two matches that are just kinda there, but everything else is killer.
Also, without giving too much away, does 2023 remind anyone else of 2014 a lot? You've got WWE refusing their hottest babyface in years the main event of Wrestlemania. CM Punk is out, but after the media scrum, CM PUNK RETURN IMMINENT! And LOLTNA has been replaces with LOLNWA in terms of baffling booking.

@ElRoberico it reminds me of Yestlemania, with Daniel Bryan being a huge fan favourite, to the point where stadiums were SCREAMING his theme. I remember those days. And now it’s the same with Sami. Everyone wanted him to win in his hometown in Elimination Chamber at Montreal, and damn Roman won again. They rejected sami for Cody and Roman, like Randy Orton vs Batista at WM30. But the question is, will Sami be added to the main event and win? That would be amazing! But Cody and Roman is the big money, so I understand that.
@ElRoberico Outside of AEW and NJPW I don't watch any other wrestling. I haven't watched tbe crap that WWE puts out anymore their constantly pushing people like Roman, and Cena while holding others back just ruined it for me. And Impact I just don't have time to watch.
It would be cool if CM Punk came back Wednesday especially since I will be attending it, I can only imagine how loud that place will become.

I'd not sure Sami going for the title would be right, he's abit like Kofi where the chase for the belt is better than the reign. Sami can get over losing as a sympathetic baby face, if you make him champ then the dynamic changes and let's face it he works better as a heel. Now if they don't do anything with afterwards then it's a problem! Cody is a story worth telling although I still think him coming out as 30 to win the Rumble after he was already announced was a mistake.
Revolution was great.
The good...The trios match was great, they can now start building Jungle Boy up, MJF was brilliant both in the match and the scrum afterwards with his CM Punk homage so I'm hoping he has some big title defences lined up with Kenny, Hangman, Adam Cole Bay Bay etc rather than let him fizzle out.
The bad...The usual problems of the Women's division is still a mess which is a shame as the talent is there now, it's shocking how Wardlow has cooled after being white hot lost year, why are The Gunns champs as they don't even have heel heat!
The ugly...Maybe it's just me but with the death match being hyped so much online afterwards (I'm UK based so I can't be arsed watching live) I thought it would be even more bloody. At least Hangman earned his name by lynching to win.
How about that new wrestling game that just reached its goal on Kickstarter.. I'm licking my chops after seeing the trailer. It almost looks like it's a direct sequel to the no mercy, revenge, world tour games.
Had a blast at AEW Dynamite today. They actually did three tapings, Dark Dynamite and then Rampage. Definitely worth the money and so great to see so many of my favorite wrestlers. Just and idea where my seat was.
I've been using the Network to clear out a bunch of my WWE blindspots, for a while I was dedicated entirely to AEW, so there is a bunch of WWE stuff like late 2019 onwards I've never seen or maybe seen the headline moments, but don't have the context of how we got there.
I remembered really not liking NXT in 2019 and so far I've been reminded why. Rehashing of the same old stories we'd seen for years prior, a total smothering from the Undisputed Era and a bunch of people from the main roster showing back up and hotshotted into prominent spots. Clearly to appease them as WWE tries to avoid haemorrhaging talent to AEW. Although ironically then proceed to release masses of wrestlers over the coming years anyway, including a bunch of the prominent figures during this era of NXT, which kinda dates it and makes it feel somewhat redundant. But then that was always kinda per the course for NXT, enjoy the wrestlers time in NXT, because the likelihood they'll be taken to the main roster, given a ***** gimmick, bungled and tossed in the trash was like a 99 percent hit rate.
NXT UK is kind of a weird black sheep for WWE, they clearly saw the BritWres boom and just sorta jumped on it clearly before they had any real proper plan. Then Speaking Out happened and WWE did the right thing in binning the majority of those proven to be guilty, but the problem was the majority of those were also the pillars the BritWres boom was built on, and without those people NXT UK seemed like a very thin roster indeed (which is probably why it went for a more European flavour, and is going to be rebranded as European brand some point this year, I believe).
However, I've been watching through the Heritage Cup from 2020 where each match is contested under old school British style rules and it is honestly a lot of fun. Also the landscape of NXT UK around this time is just a lot of fun, (including an awesome core feud between Dragunov and WALTER), I think this stuff is great and kinda sad it likely didn't really register at the time, and will also likely be forgotten to time.
I also went back and watched the Bryan Styles IC Title Championship Final (say that three times fast) from a SmackDown in the Summer of 2020. I heard this is one of the best WWE matches ever and I dunno if I agree with that, but it certainly was a fun match. Kinda reminds you what you can do when you embrace that main roster WWE style and work with it, rather than just try and fight against it and really expose the limitations.
