Not sure how to feel about this. He was very important to the wrestling industry, for many he was the face of wrestling. But over the years stories of him killing other people's pushes and careers, including Jesse Ventura who wanted to unionize, definitely caught up to him, and that's before you bring up the racism

Terrible news. Loved hulk Hogan since i was a little one. Ill turn on some of his best matches tn. RIP.

I ended up watching the WM18 match between him and Rock last night. Such a great match with those two probably my favorite Hogan match of all time.

@NintendoByNature I am going to watch Smackdown's tribute to him tonight. I haven't watched any current WWE product since Wrestlemania but I want to see the tribute.

Damn I couldnt do it last night. I watched the opening of Smackdow and saw the tribute to Hogan, but after that I couldnt watch no more. The opening after tbe tribute consisted of Paul Logan and some fat ***** named Jelly Roll??? What the hell was I watching. Seriously who was next a guy name Cream Puff??? They couldnt even start with two wrestlers just two guys who have no business in a wrestling ring. This is what WWE has become?

Yeah I think I will stick with AEW.

Thank god AEW has turned things around, because after this year I really, really would not want WWE to be the only game in town, a thing they still very clearly want to happen like it did in 2001.

WWF/E has always been like that. Hulk become the figures head of the 80s Americana wrestling because he was in Rocky whatever for 5mins so Vince though he’d be an easiy sell and Wrestlemania was launched with Cyndi Lauper and Mr T.

Paul Logan is actually a decent wrestler and being such a smug prat makes him a great heel.

The thing is WWF has never great for real wrestling, it’s why Hulk Hogan was such a good fit for them with his 3 moves and cringe catchphrases to entertain children.

I get it that WWE has always had that connection but you dont put that as your opening match. Put it in the middle of the show where crap like that belongs.

Yeah, there has not been a single point in the history of wrestling past the 80s where a promoter would be too good to have a celebrity in a match. Wrestlemania wouldn’t have been a success if it wasn’t for Mr.T and the “Rock” part of the Rock and Wrestling Era, even in the Attitude Era they had Arnold, Pete Rose, and Drew Carey make cameos, and the Andy Kaufman-Jerry Lawler feud made bank in Memphis.TNA has had Pac-Man Jones, WCW had Dennis Rodman and even Robocop, even AEW had Shaq come in for a spell and is still trying to squeeze whatever popularity they can have out of the Costco guys. A popular singer in America who seems to have some passion for the sport is barely a blip on the “celebrities in wrestling” radar.

So starting September 20th all WWE PPVs will be on ESPN. So that means if you want to watch them you have to have ESPN in some capacity.

@Tasuki hoping its espn+ since I already have that. I'm not adding anymore services.

@NintendoByNature I know that ESPN is launching a new streaming service today so I am guessing that's one way of getting. If that is replacing something like ESPN+, will be a part of Disney+ or how much it will cost I have no idea. I might look into it when I have more time. From what I hear though is that will be where WWE PPVs are now both old and new ones. Honestly I hope if you have something like Sling, which I do which has ESPN you dont have to pay for this ESPN app. To be honest these streaming services are getting way out of hand.

@Tasuki You don't necessarily need ESPN+ or Netflix or Peacock, if you know where to watch it and how to watch it and download it, you can watch it for free.

@Tasuki You won't.

Besides watching it offline is 1 trillion times better than online.

Nice to see AJ Lee return. Obviously probably would have had more of an impact if it weren't for the leaks but still great to see her back.

I can almost understand why you posted an American Gladiators clip in the wrestling thread but I'm still not entirely sure why you did.
