They've only just started the "Season 11" comic book series; issue #2 just came out this week. The first issue is set about 6 months or so after the show's series finale.
I highly recommend you guys listen to "Fat Man on Batman". It's a podcast by writer/director Kevin Smith where he interviews different people related to Batman. In the first episode, he interviews Paul Dini about his life, and how he eventually landed his gig on Batman: The Animated Series. This week's episode, he interviews Mark Hamill. http://smodcast.com/channels/fatman-on-batman/
Though, a word of warning: There's a lot of cursing.
So Batman is going to be in the next arc of smallville. Its going to be a ruce Batman with Stephanie Brown as nightwing.
Also Read Batman #10. Not sure how I feel about the reveal itself but the actual build up to it in the story and all the hints in the previous stuff was very well done. Snyder has really been pushing his focus on the legacy of Gotham and its all isnt there. I love how even though batman is in control for the most part he still loses and is ended up the one doing the owls dirth work for them.
Next month should e the end of the storyline and im ready to see them get away from the court in the main batman title.
Question has any read Scarlet by Bendis?
WAT!
Hey check out my awesome new youtube channel shingi70 where I update weekly on the latest gaming and comic news form a level headed perspective.
Yeah I rathe renjoyed the twist in Batman #10. Granted I sort of knew that it was going to be that, but I wasn't expecting them to explain it the way they did and tie it into old continuity. And also I believe issue #12 is an epilogue to the Court of Owls, so I don't think the new storyline will start until October when the issue #13's come out. And Red Hood wasn't that bad this week. It was actually pretty funny and set up a good plot. Plus Blackfire is going to appear next issue, so that'll be interesting to see her.
Oh, and READ WONDER WOMAN #10! That conclusion to the storyline is action packed and has several great moment in it.
FF6: Release year- 1994 Kefka's birthday - November 9th So.... my life is practically mirroring Kefka? Cool.
Yes. Awesome book. Check it out if you can, assuming you like "real world" comic stories — it's not a "capes and tights" title at all. Bendis does a lot of very cool things from a writing and stylistic standpoint, most notably having the whole comic be framed by the device of Scarlet "breaking the fourth wall" — talking directly to the reader. There's even a few panels where it gets almost spooky for a second, as she turns to face the "camera" and is looking right at the reader as she narrates.
I so hope Bendis gets back to Scarlet's tale (the released arc is "Book One"), but the man seems to have major ADD and needs to have a billion projects (both via mainstream-Marvel as well as his creator-owned properties) going at once.
Oy, i picked the wrong time to miss a week (last week) of picking up new books. I spent over $60 on books today catching up from last week! at least next week there's only like 4 books on my buylist
It's copycatting something that Morrison already did successfully (one of the few things he did successfully), and the whole premise of it is completely unbelievable.
Especially the sterward of the Wayne Family Fortune cutting funding for that children's hospital. Come on. If the Court of Owls had that kind of sway, Bruce would never have the money to be Batman.
