Not like a killing fatality. More like a super-move, of something of the sort. Like when superman throws flash into space and then kicks him back down to earth. That's a little much for a normal attack.
Still rockin' the GameBoy brick. Yes, I do believe it's portable. It fits in my satchel.
So, Comic-Con is next month. What's everybody hoping for? Personally, I'm desperately hoping that Darkstalkers will be there in some form. I'm also hoping that Sony will announce a Sly 4 promotional comic. Oh, and it would be nice if Mega Man was there. He does have his own comic now, after all.
This.
I like Bendis and all, but i have been so looking forward to the franchise finally getting away from him and his "every single character sounds exactly the same" thing (seriously, if the speech bubbles didn't have that little arrowy end thing, you'd be hard pressed to know who was speaking in any given scene). There's a reason why Avengers Academy is the best Avengers title going, and it's largely because Bendis has nothing to do with it.
Bendis on a Cage book would definitely work. Given a lot of his New Avengers work, it seems like that's what he'd rather write anyway.
I just hope he gets around to doing a follow-up to Scarlet eventually. That was a great book. But he seems like he has so many things going on with his creator-owned stuff anyway, it'll probably be years before he gets back to it.
The Immortal Iron Fist was the last Marvel series that i've fell in love with. I liked the Uncanny X Force, Thunderbolts and New Avengers but they didn't deliver it for me... Now that I remember while writting Heroes for Hire was awesome! Need to put that back on my pull list.
Suicide Squad is my favorite book currently.
Fan of: Shin Megami Tensei/ (Classic) Mega Man/ Pokemon/ Batman Arkham/ Metal Gear Solid/Peanuts/ DBZ/ Regular Show/ Power Rangers/The Walking Dead/ Invincible/ Detective Comics/ Secret Six/ Immortal Iron Fist/ Lobo/ Green Lantern
Colors 3D:
Thoughts on the new books DC announced. Glass to see my man Aaron Lopresti getting another ongoing.
Also while my review isn't ready I must saw in tone Earth-2 is the opposite of the ultimate universe. Unlike the current t ultimate universe that somehow has gotten more cynical and darker, earth-2 manages to ozse the optimism that I love about DC. Also funny note is there is no Gotham or Metropolises in this universe.

The latest issue of action comics has to be my favorite characterization of of superman in this new universe thus far. The way that even though the just helped stop an alien invasion and the threats he's facing is getting bigger that he still goes personally track down a child killer to justice. That and wanting the league to do more than just stop guys like staro and darksied. And finding who batman is using his talents as a journalist and not xray vision gives made me smile. Though the league or rather batman shuts him down.

I'm going to wait on the Watchmen related stuff; you know there will eventually be a super-duper collection of it all.
Since the rest of you seem to be DC-folken, i'll ask this — have you checked out Smallville? I picked up the first ish and enjoyed it enough to stick with it for a while, but i'm curious to hear other people's feedback.
On the Marvel story-arc front, i'm loving the current arc of Captain America, as it ties into story threads from Cap back in the late 80s to early 90s, when i first was really getting into Cap's books — Diamondback, the Serpent Society, Scourge, D-Man ... my inner fanboy and child-fanboy have had many geekgasms in just the past two issues.
Brubaker is probably at the top of my list of Marvel's current writers, along with Christos Gage (Avengers Academy), Matt Fraction (Iron Man) and the incomparable Peter David (X-Factor ... seriously, check X-Factor out, even if you care nothing for the X-titles; it stays on the very periphery of the Marvel U in general — it's one of Marvel's best and most consistent titles).
I'm reading smallville. Its the reason why I'm a comicbook and superman fan. It pretty much feels like season 11 going on the threads of the last few seasons of our world becoming more super. Even in the comic you can tell seeing as the Justice League awatch tower is being made and for the most part consumer tech is very real world. I'm really hoping that we get more follow up on last seasons legion of doom tease.
Anyone one else checking out Fatale by Brubaker.
