Pretty large week for me.
Still rockin' the GameBoy brick. Yes, I do believe it's portable. It fits in my satchel.
Batman, Batman & Robin, and Nightwing were all incredible. I'm so stoked for Night of Owls. And they didn't ruin Captain Marvel, they just changed his name officially to Shazam. And he wasn't really eatured at all in the new issue of Justice League, besides a back up feature about Billy Batson.

Picked up: All-star Western #7 Avengers vs X-Men #0 Batman: The Dark Knight #7 Daredevil #10 Flash #7 Green Lantern: new Guardians #7 I, Vampire #7 Justice League Dark #7 Teen Titans #7 Voodoo #7
Cutting Batman: The Dark Knight after this month. While I hate cutting a Batman book, this one just sucks. Also cutting Red Lanterns, Teen Titans, and Catwoman.

Finally, somebody else posted! (I hate double posting) The new Batman and Nightwing issues leading into Night of the Owls were quite good. The sword fight between Nightwing and Talon was rad.

As you know, i'm not a big DC guy, so not really hyped for Owls. And while the writing and stories overall have been good in the Bat-verse, i havent personally liked the direction of everything. But just personal taste, is all. I'll stick with Batwoman though, as i love the character, and her book is more on the fringe of the Bat-verse as it is. Catwoman i'm debating dropping — i like it, but i'm trying to trim my monthly list a bit.
I did decide to drop Superboy — s'good, but it's getting too entwined with other titles for me, as i have no intention of picking up Titans and such. I may start to pick up Ravagers when it starts (for Fairchild, of course), but we'll see. The Smallville series i'll likely pick up for at least the first story arc.
Meanwhile, i love the Dodson pic above of Spidey and Carol, the former Ms. Marvel and soon to be new Captain Marvel! Glad she's getting a solo book again — her last series was quite overlooked and much better than it really had any right to be.
Avengers vs X-Men has gotten off to a good start; if you haven't read it, i won't spoil, but the one moment with Cap and Cyclops towards the end of the first ish was awesome. Curious to see what all the eventual fallout of the storyline will be.
I did pick up Avenging Spidey (the first ish in the Omega Effect crossover), but didn't read it yet — i might wait until the DD ish comes out and then read the whole thing in one shot. I have read a bit of DD so far, but it hasn't worked it's way into my monthly pulls yet. I might stick with it for a bit now though, since i am dropping a couple books — and i really should collect it just on principle, since Matt Murdock and I share the same profession.
Anyways, this week for me is:
Batman Beyond Unlimited # 3 Punisher # 10 Amazing Spidey # 684 Avengers # 25 Avengers vs X-Men # 2 Iron Man # 515 X-Factor # 234 Star Wars Dawn of the Jedi # 3 and probably The Shadow #1 ... i can never avoid at least checking out an Ennis-written book.
I really want to try the shadow. I loved the movie and used to listen to recordings of the old radio show my grandma had. Just hate the dynamite every thing is 3.99 tax.
Cant waait till July as imadding the new captain marvel series to my pull. There needs to be more books with female leads. And the ones out now are really good. Also thinking of grabbing spider-men when that hits.
So next week will probably be
I, vampire Justice league dark Teenage titans Batwoman 8 Frankenstein 7 & 8 Batman 7 & 8 Fatale 4 saga 2 Smallville digital 3 wonder woman 5
WAT!

Genre's? So long as it's not a romance or Super Hero story, I'm down with anything. Self-contained would be prefered, but Multiple volumes are good too. I think it depends more on what I can find.
Y: the last man The Walking dead (on going but reads the best in trade format) Sweet tooth American Vampire (rated M alot of killing/Nudity/cursing.) co-written by stephen king Scalped- (the Sopranos on a Native American reservation) Love and rockets Fables Casanova Gotham Central (about the gotham police department. The wire in gotham and batman rarely appears) Batman Year one Alll Star superman
Thanks. I actually heard of Y: The Last Man from a friend before. I'll have to check it out.
I actually went through a bunch of these (I have a great local library) along with a few others, but I haven't had much luck. Y: The Last Man was the best out of the bunch, but I felt it went downhill after the first volume. However, during my search, I did find 2 comics I'd be interested in: Usagi Yojimbo and Command Review. The former is a very successful comic featuring japanese culture and animal people (which makes sense since Japanese myths included some animal people), two things I really enjoy. The other was a mainstay comic in the same anthology that Usagi was originally published in, also featuring animal people, this time in a Sci-fi war situation. Both are different from what I normally read, which is usually lighthearted fair. Still, I'm willing to give them a shot, and while CR is short, Usagi would give me a lot to read should I happen to like it. Either way, I intend to grab both series on the cheap pretty soon.
As a bonus, I found two more comics I might be interested in (Katmandu, which I found the first 15 issues online, and Shanda the Panda, which I have been unsuccessful at finding so far) and 2 webcomics I might also like as well (Birthright from the creator of CR, which also takes place in the same universe from what I'm told, and Eureka, which has a similar premise to CR). Looks like I'll be busy for a while.

And getting earth 2 and scarlet spider #q with some birthday money along with hopefully some disney donalod collections.
The last issue of Batman was pretty intense. It sets up the event nicely, though I can't really say that about the Red Hood. It seems almost as if they shoe horned the event into that title. But, regardless, I'm still excited to read what happens!
The free DC title? Nah, I skipped it. It was just a preview, same as last year.
It wasnt. It was a new tale that fleshes out who that Pandora chick is and more about DC's version of shield. Also it set up next years big Trinity War crossover and set up the next arc of justice league dark.
