my problem with bendis is he is on more than one avengers book. they need to go the Dc route with three different writers for the three different teams.
new avengers - bendis working on street level stuff in new York. mighty avengets- someone writing more classic justice league defending the planet style stories. secret avengers- rick remeder doing spy stuff.
WAT!

Actually, Bendis hasn't been writing Secret Avengers (originally it was Brubaker, then Warren Ellis for a bit, and now i think Remeder is taking the reigns), and right now he's just been New Avengers and The Avengers (Mighty was dropped/re-vamped when they did the recent re-re-boot), and he'll be doing Avengers Assemble (which is really just a series focusing on the big names so as to draw in fans from the upcoming Avengers movie). But i totally agree — it would be fine if Bendis just stuck with the "street level" New Avengers, as it fits his style and tone perfectly.
But hands down the most enjoyable Avengers book right now is Avengers Academy by Christos Gage.
X-23 joined the book a couple issues back, good stuff so far, especially since she's such a different character from the "main" cast of the book.
And yes, they're doing a Runaways story-arc shortly, but they're (supposedly) not joining the book as a whole. It is very cool that post-Fear Itself, the Academy is now open to all young heroes who want some extra training or guidance, so they can switch things up more by bringing in occasional "guest stars" (Spider-Girl, for instance, among others). I'm also loving that they've taken up residence in the old West Coast Avengers base — i absolutely loved that series, probably even more than the "proper" Avengers book back in the late-80s/early-90s.
Daredevil, in my opinion, is by far the best thing coming out of Marvel right now. It's not cluttered with the ridiculous amounts of continuity that Spidey is, and there's also not loads of cross-overs ala X-men.
OMAC getting cancelled made me quite depressed, but seeing new information on the Court of Owls Batman cross-over event made me much happier. I can't wait.
Still rockin' the GameBoy brick. Yes, I do believe it's portable. It fits in my satchel.
Omac being canceled was terrible. got the news right before reading the issue of Frankenstein with him on it. he!s also supposed to be in justice league international at some point.

I really hope they wrap it up nicely. As long as they can do that, I will call the series a success.
On the other hand, Batman Inc. returning is something to be very excited about. Earth-2, World's Finest, Dial H, and The Ravagers all look relatively interesting as well. I've got high hopes for all of them. Except for G.I. Combat. That can go rot in hell, and Men of War can come back.
I plan on picking up Scarlet Spider when i hit the shop tomorrow; depending on how it is i may or may not stick with it. I do like the idea that it's taking place in Texas instead of the usual Marvel locales (thus giving it a kind of "insulation" from the rest of the goings-on of the Marvel U) , and Kaine is a cool character that i think will work better in his own Spider-series than Ben Reilly ever did.
Ben Reilly was ok, but he wasn't really all that different enough from Peter for me. Kaine — even the newly reborn version who doesn't seem as homicidal now that he's not perpetually dying — is a huge change from Pete, so will be fun to see what they do with him.
But yeah, web-slinging in Texas should be interesting ... i had read that the creative team had put a lot of research into the area, and took a lot of feedback from locals on how it should be portrayed, so i'm definitely looking forward to seeing it. Even though i'm a NY'er and love that aspect of Spidey, i'm very much hyped on seeing a rarely-seen part of the Marvel U's USA.
So DC April solicits came out today. All in all pretty good, still Hume's about Omac. next ninth will be expensive as I'm buying ky normal books along with men of war, nightwing, and red hood.
the big batman crossover is starting that month and the legion/Titans/superbly is starting.
the i,vampire and justice league crossover ends next month too.
now I have to decide what replaces Omac.

I know i mentioned this to shingi in Chat, but for anyone else interested, Scarlet Spider was quite good, even though there was a lot of "set-up" (re-intoducing Kaine to an audience that may not be too familiar with him, establishing exactly what his powers are post Spider-Island, etc). Definitely sticking with the series at least through the first arc. Chris Yost never seems to disappoint.
as much as I'm down on the bulk of the avengers stuff and some of the marvel u stuff, i have to admit the xmen and spider-man lines are killing it in quality. I expect the avengers line to do better overall when avenger vs xmen is finished.
so any thoughts on the threat that's supposed to be coming and because of avengers vs Ximenes they wont be prepared for.

No idea (particularly as i tend to avoid online spoilers/previews for comics as much as possible) ... but something like the return of Thanos or something would be cool.
However, i'm betting on it having something to do with Scarlet Witch and/or the Phoenix Force — particularly as both the Avengers:Children's Crusade (featuring the Young Avengers finding Wanda and the Avengers & X-Men starting to mix it up) and Avengers:X-Sanction (Cable returning for 24 hours to take down the Avengers after learning they do ... something not yet revealed ... to endanger Hope — and also revealing that in the future, the Avengers have a crapload of anti-mutant tech) have been setting the stage for the upcoming Avengers vs X-Men.
@shingi_70, So in the sixth issue of Avenging Spider Man our Spidey is really teaming up with Daredevil and The Punisher sort of like in the much missed 'Team-Up Books'? This sounds like it should be quite interesting!

its going to going through all three books. I'm wondering how it will work when it goes to trade. I remember final crisis having the sane problem. there is a very important stuff going on that doesn't make sense if you didn't read the batman mini.
just checked the comixology store front. DC not updating till 2pm is annoying. but alot of spiderman stuff is coming out this week.
is amazing still bi-weekly?

I don't know if Amazing Spider Man is still bi-weekly but as far as I know there wasn't a scheduled change. I do know that Kid Omega will be in the fifth issue of Wolverine and the X-Men.
I truly hope that Joe Madureira stays with The Avenging Spider Man as I prefer his stylistic art illustrations over those of Greg Land. I have never cared for Creg Land's art style. I think that Joe Madureira fits the Spider Man universe quite well. When I pick up a comic I prefer for it to have that nice artistic flare that one sees in Cliff Chiang 'Wonder Woman New 52, Joe Madureira, Chris Bachalo 'Wolverine and the X-Men' and Mahmud Asrar (Supergirl New 52) instead of that too realistic look that Craig Land has.
