John Carter: A Princess of Mars #1

Next up I hope to pick up The Avenging Spider Man #1 and 2 if I can find them somewhere.

While its not a superhero comic I decided to pick up catalepsy #1 sometime this week.

From the look of Kal-El in that image I wonder if this game will tie-in with the upcoming Superman Man of Steel?

Most likely the dark knight rises.

Hard to say my book of the week. Might go with Omac because that fight with Frankenstein was golden.
also if your not reading them stop what your doing and start picking up Animal Man and Swamp Thing.

Quick question to everyone. I got a Kindle Fire last week, and I'm debating switching to digital comics because of it's impressive comics app. Would it be a good idea, or no?

i buy all my comics so i might be a bit biased but yes. don't have to worry about a issue being sold out and guys pike Dc take a dollar offf price drop a month after an issue is out.

that coupled with comixology is the amazon of digital comics so no worry about them going out of business. thar and they have sales almost every week. i got all of kingdom come and batman teat one for $8.

How do the splash pages of comics like Batwoman look digitally?

they look okay buy when big splash pages come i use the panel mode to read.it after taking in the arc.

so i bought issue #1 of venom and issue #5 of megaman. both enjoyable and will follow until i get another gift card so i can catch up on both of them.

I'm talking about both the original books along with the new Marvel Comics 'Enders Game'. I'm new to Ender's Game and so I was wondering if even though it isn't of any connection to Tron would it be good to watch Tron Legacy to put me in the mind and mood for Ender's Game before reading the Ender's Game books and comics?

Not surprised. They've been cross-promoting the DD and Punisher storylines on the Spidey recap-page (which is typically done in a style as if it's the cover of an issue of the Daily Bugle) for close to a year now.

I think this week is also the start of the 2-ish Spidey-Daredevil crossover featuring Black Cat (i don't pick up my books until Saturdays).

tempted to pick up amazing spiderman. going to start buying the trades w8rh the spider islands stuff.

Spider-Island was a good, fun storyline. Definitely reccomended. Amazing Spidey now is really the best it's been in for a while; Dan Slott has nailed it perfectly.

Also, the new Avenging Spider-Man has also gotten off to a good start — it's basically more along the lines of the classic "Marvel Team-Up" books, which is a cool way of distinguishing it from the main series.

You guys are killing me with all this talk of Avenging Spider Man! Every time I head to the book store they are ALLLLLLLLWAAAAYYYYS sold out of issues 1 through 3 of The Avenging Spider Man comics. I am like WHAT THE HECK?

I just pray that through some miracle I shall find a comic store that actually has at LEST issue 1 on the shelf as I hate picking up after the first issue of a comic.

yeah the crossover with dd and punisher is going to be in avenging, as amazing is wrapped up in other srltuff.

so the last issue if men of war is going to be Frankenstein in WWII wr8tten by lemurs. gotta pick it up.

also this is bendis's last year writing the avengers. wonder what he does next.

I'm counting the days until Bendis is done with the Avengers. I like him and his books (Scarlet was beyond awesome), and i love a lot of what he did with the Avengers franchise (i have been a huge Cap and Avengers fan forever), but i'm tired of how pretty much every character has the same "voice", where the only way you can tell who's speaking in a scene is the dialogue-bubble-arrow.
