@Yousef- I believe that if you scroll to the top of a topic, there is a bar that says "Stop Watching" if you are watching a topic, so I think you have to click that. It'll show up as "Watch Topic" when you are no longer watching a topic.

thank you that is much clearer now.

@Pastellioli Yeah, Nigel Thornberry is quite a popular meme lol. I didn't have regular access to the show back in the day, but I did like what I watched of it. The movie was fairly decent too. As for "banger", that can mean many things based on the slang and context.

@jedgamesguy Glad you picked up on the joke lol. I'm glad you and your friend had an amazing time with multiplayer MK8D and Smash. Hard to feel too bad for either of you when it comes to who did better. Seems like you both excel at different games. As is normal with humanity!

@Sunsy Oof, forgive the typos last time. Sometimes those are hard to catch on mobile. Again, glad you had a great time at the Trolls event, and that goes for your friend too. I think I can understand some things related to sensory. Brushes don't bother me outside of tickling me a bit. It's more oily things like sunscreen I can't stand on my skin. I'll wear it if I absolutely have to, but I compensate in other ways when I can. Either by covering up in clothing or going out when the sun isn't very strong.

Actual dumplings huh? I've only had the southern US variety, but I would definitely try dumplings from other parts of the world. I could have tried a rice ball where I went on vacation, but I didn't know this until the last day and was already full then lol. Didn't quite get around to photos as my weekend blew up, but hopefully soon. I at least had time to clear a few repeats from my phone. Chicken teriyaki is amazing in almost any form I've had it. If you're ever in the Midwest, I recommend trying thin crust bar style pizza (common here) or Chicago style.

@Tyranexx making typos is my biggest fear. If I had to apologize and donate a penny for every typo I made my whole life I could fund a Time Machine.

Hello, good morning or goodnight, wherever you guys live! Hope you are having a good day or had a good day.

I didn't do much today, didn't game surprisingly, but I will later in the morning. I want to watch more movies, so I decided to watch The Matrix to end the night here, and gosh that was good. It had such a cool story and so many cool effects and characters. I don't even watch sci-fi media and don't find it interesting (at least to me), but the movie is probably one of the few exceptions for me. I never wanted to watch it, but a video game I'm obsessed with parodied it and increased my interest in it, so it was my only reason for wanting to see it lol. Pretty good movie, but not going to see the sequels.

I feel far too exhausted, frankly. Work days go a little too fast and never any good chances to catch a lot of sleep so I can feel like a zombie half the time.

Surprisingly, my gaming journey is going swimmingly. I’ve finished Ape Escape 3 and it’s unquestionably peak 3D platforming to me now. Such a fun little game. I’m moving on to God of War and right off the bat I can tell exactly this is my kinda game. Plays like a musou (albeit with a somewhat less interesting juggle system compared to something like dynasty warriors 4, though I’m gonna experiment), awesome themes, great story (so far), fantastic soundtrack and set pieces, so much about it just clicks for me. I’m really happy to be playing it. 3D beat ā€˜em ups on ps2 are my jam. Including Yakuza, that’s another awesome ps2 brawler.

Frankly, I’m as far removed from mainstream movie discourse as one can be. As noticed by my three favorite films of all time being Of Mice & Men, Donnie Brasco, North by Northwest and One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. However I still love Keanu Reeves so you can’t go wrong with him at all. I’m happy you enjoyed the film. My favorite Keanu Reeves film is actually Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure, strong recommendation. It’s got a great vibe similar to my all time favorite comedy film; Dude, Where’s My Car?.

I can happily report the reply button works again and no longer takes me to the main page. Was likely an issue on my though I still don’t know what it was exactly.

@Tyranexx We had a great time, including four of us going through all the DLC tracks in a 2 hour marathon this morning, so suffice it to say I've got a good MK fix for the time being. All of my rivals took a few cups to warm up but I had perfect 60 scores and finishing dead last in equal part.

@Yousef- I have actually never watched a ton of movies with Keanu Reeves despite how well-known he is. I don’t really keep up with mainstream movies or super well known ones like The Matrix, but I am glad I saw the film. Most of the time, the films I like are ones that have been released years ago. I think I should do movie nights before I go to bed. I was watching the film in bed and it was so comfy

I do want to watch Saving Private Ryan at one point, but I don’t think I will do it today or soon. I also don’t know if I could possibly stomach realistic violence without getting somewhat freaked out. I can handle strong violence, but only if it’s animated or done in a visual art style that is cartoony. The game I played parodies a ton of other movies that I’m assuming have similarly violent content (like the Godfather) so I don’t think I’ll watch them. I’m fine with only watching one movie it parodied.

The Matrix is rated R, but the content in there and the violence seemed PG-13 to me (though I’m assuming the violence is R by 90s standards) so I was able to handle it. It was mostly gun violence and there surprisingly wasn’t a ton of blood in it. It’s the only R-rated movie I watched. I avoid R-rated movies most of the time.

@Pastellioli it is true that R-rated movies are no longer judged by the same standards. In the 90s, hardcore nudity wasn’t a factor. Now it is. Case in point, the Deadpool Trilogy. an excellent set of movies, I might add.

Saving Private Ryan will likely be up your alley. Excellent film. Very little wrong.

Hardcore violence is not really an issue in movies you mentioned like the Godfather, but I can see where you’re coming, friend. I do however think they’re worth watching regardless so if you ever find the chance, go for it.

Movie nights are indeed comfy and you should definitely consider them as an option for a secondary hobby. Movies in general are quite therapeutic and can teach you a lot of important life lessons and wisdoms. They’ll make you wiser. True story.

Not keeping up with mainstream movies actually aligns with my previous arguments more than you think. You’re on the right track, buddy. Keep doing what you’re doing and you will discover more classics.

@Yousef- Typos are unfortunately very common, but also very forgiveable lol. I'm normally a great speller, but it's easy for me to fat finger things on my phone keyboard. I have average size hands, but my fingers are long.

@Pastellioli I've been trying to reinstate Tuesday movie night for myself after letting it lapse with how busy I've been (and traveling) over the past while. The Matrix and its two sequels are on my watch list. I've seen the first movie before, but it's been some time. Hoping to finally catch Inside Out 2 at the theater this evening.

@jedgamesguy Quite a Mario Kart marathon! Sounds like everyone did well in some camps. A great fix indeed; I'm guessing all are satisfied on karting, at least for the day?

IIRC, Smashpedia.

Duel Academy is toast!

@Tyranexx Hm, even though I did say I didn’t plan to watch the sequels, I am sort of in a mood for The Matrix after being so blown away by it last night so maybe I’ll try to watch the three sequels for it. There’s a ton of popular and iconic movies that I’ve heard about and haven’t seen, so I do want to find a few more to put on my watchlist besides the Matrix sequels and Saving Private Ryan,. The game that made me want to watch The Matrix and Saving Private Ryan so badly was Conker’s Bad Fur Day, which is pretty old but well known for inserting a ton of pop culture references in the game, and the references aren’t out of nowhere and are used in relation to the theme of the level. The parodies really increase the memorability of it, though I didn’t catch a few of them since I don’t watch movies a ton šŸ˜… I’ll try to link the parody the game did of The Matrix, since it absolutely blew my mind when I got to the scene late at night when I first played it. It’s why I got so hyped when I got to the lobby shootout scene in the film.

I miss going to the movies a ton, but I am hopeful me and my family can go to the theatre sometime in December or January for Sonic the Hedgehog 3. I did hear a lot of good things about Inside Out 2 and I have great memories of seeing the first with my family years ago, but it surprisingly isn’t catching my interest at the moment.

Late movie nights at home seem pretty fun, and it’s maybe a hobby I should have alongside gaming and such. I do think I should take a break from playing games all the time and just wind down and watch something, like what I did with The Matrix last night in bed.

EDIT: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=1LvA9NyQpqY&pp=ygUaaGVpc3Qg...

Here is the parody I was taking about. It’s a one-to-one copy of the lobby scene from the film and it’s so goofy but cool! Warning that there is some cursing in it and it’s more violent and bloody than the original scene it’s parodying.
