Good night.
It's almost 11.30 pm here.
My belly is stuffed after eating some noodles as my supper.
I need to relax before sleeping by playing maybe some Switch games.
Don’t have much going on. Changed my avatar earlier, but I couldn’t crop the left side correctly without cutting some significant parts off, so some cut off text is visible and it’s bothering me, but oh well. Gonna draw soon, since it’s been maybe since late June since I made a finished picture. I’m currently listening to some Vocaloid music right now and lying in bed, and at the moment I’m thinking about The Matrix and Conker a ton.
@Pastellioli I didn’t notice anything wrong with your avatar and still can’t notice it so you probably did a better job cropping it than you think.
Which vocaloid are you listening to? Mind sharing?
Like it says in the book, we are blessed… and we are cursed.
@Yousef- I was listening to a song called CYBERPUNK DEAD BOY by Maiki-P, which was sung by Hatsune Miku. It’s probably one of my favorite songs, it’s so catchy and has an interesting theme and message, and I think the song criticizes the modern music industry and how almost every single artist within the space is pressured to conform to popular and trending song trends with their music to stay relevant, but also telling musical artists to not give up and lose authenticity and genuine expressions with their music. It’s a really heartfelt and important message. I do have a few more Vocaloid songs I’m listening to, but I’d make my response longer lol
“Woah-shi! It’s a double Yoshi explo-shi!” - Yoshi’s Woolly World ad, 2015
If you’re curious, the character in my PFP is Flaky from Happy Tree Friends.
I think I will watch again the Doraemon movie today for the second time.
I found the same nearest XXI from my house to watch again with same schedule like yesterday.
@Pastellioli Part of what interests me in Conker's Bad Fur Day is what I do know about the humor - especially in the era it came out in. I didn't have access to a N64 back in the day, and knowing my parents this game wouldn't have come anywhere near me even if I did lol. The jank camera and controls will likely give me a little trouble, but I've made it through Super Mario 64 more than once with similar issues. Even enjoyed it!
Not sure if the exclusive Rare titles will jump to Switch or not. It's not impossible since Microsoft seems more willing to share some of their game library, and I'd consider it more likely since Goldeneye jumped over. Before I would have said chances were slim.
Some great hobbies you have. I draw once in a blue moon, but it's more like small doodles. I usually don't have the time or patience to scrape out what's in my head onto paper to my satisfaction. I'm even worse at digital art despite programming for a living. Most of what I watch is on YouTube, usually game, pop culture, or occasionally movie related. Sometimes I hint down old animated shows I like that are online too.
@Tyranexx I usually don’t like “mature” humor, but Conker is the exception for me since it’s pretty much used to also subvert expectations and cliches associated with platformer games, and I find the game to be a pretty great deconstruction of platformer games with its writing and moments, a lot of which are really crazy and make the game so interesting and unique to me. I am hoping it does come to Switch so everyone else can play it I do think you will enjoy it when you play it!
I definitely do think some more of Rare’s games will come to the Switch, mostly the N64 games on the NSO app. I’m not sure about the Xbox games they made, but given that Microsoft is adopting a multi platform approach with some of their games, it would be nice to see some make their way to the Switch and possibly the next Nintendo console. I really think Viva Piñata would a be great fit for the Nintendo ecosystem, given it has similarities to Animal Crossing. I honestly think a lot of Rare’s Xbox games would have done well on Nintendo consoles.
I really like drawing and want to become a semi-professional, but I haven’t gotten the time to draw more, but now I am sketching a drawing that I plan on sharing on the artist’s thread possibly tomorrow if I can get it finished. It’s supposed to be Conker in that Matrix parody, since I’m thinking about those two heavily right now I’ll have to unfortunately use a link to a social media account I have though, since I couldn’t find any good photo sharing sites and I don’t know how to post photos using the site format, and I don’t really want to make it seem like I’m trying to promote my account. I also do get frustrated at art, and it’s why I haven’t been drawing as much as I used to and why I’ve been gaming more, sort of to blow off steam and feel more relaxed. I also stink at digital art too, whereas I do better with traditional art.
With the videos I watch, it’s usually film analysis videos, or video game YouTubers. I have seen a few of Scott the Woz’s videos and did find those pretty entertaining, but I haven’t seen his videos in a while. I found his cancelled video games video to be super interesting when I watched it, since I am a fan of hearing about cancelled games and what they could have been. I also sometimes watch this series of videos called What Happened? by Matt McMuscles that focuses on video games that performed poorly either commercially, critically, or a combination of both, and I find those interesting since they also go over the development history of the games and how those games failed when they released. I also love to go on Unseen64 and looking and reading all the cancelled games (especially N64 games and Rare games) and I found an article they made on this cancelled Conker sequel interesting (however, it has spoilers for the first game) though the site sometimes has errors and some articles haven’t been updated in a few years and even in a decade, so I assume the site isn’t big and is run by a few people. I just usually watch and read these at random when I’m bored or doing something like drawing, and they tend to be related to stuff I am into, but I also do watch videos on stuff I haven’t played or watched.
Bought a 512 gig SD card for my switch yesterday since they were super cheap in my local tech store. I’ve therefore spent the whole day re-downloading all my digital games, which has taken at least 19 hours, probably double that, off the hotel WiFi.
Plus all the DLC, expansions and patches for every physical game not on the switch drive
@DannyBoi I am not sure... I have it but play it very rarely because it loads horribly--and I say this a someone who does not care about laying 720p @ 30FPS so....
