I'm not as creative as you, but I love building Lego sets.
Currently halfway through building the Lord of the Rings Rivendell set. It has over 6,000 pieces, so finding a place for it is going to be a challenge.
@blindsquarel I am a fan of many, many franchises, and it's mostly tru in games. Seeing Elder Scrolls for instance, after Morrowind it was a downright spiral. Same with FF after X-2.
In case of TV series, they usually don't live long enough to see the fall, however Friends did end after season 5 and Simpsons after about 15.
In cases of manga/anime, it usually retains value thorughout

While this is true for some series like Paper Mario for example, the vast majority just seem to be nostalgia taking over. Take Donkey Kong for example. One of the few series that is lucky enough to not really have any bad games, and people still say it’s went downhill because it “Just doesn’t feel the same.” Heck, one of the complaints with Country Returns is that it doesn’t do enough new things, but at the same time those fans get mad that they decided to try out a new big bad, instead of using K Rool again. People ( myself included) don’t judge the games they played growing up with the same standards they judge newer games, and then wonder why things seem to have went downhill.

Man, the solar opposites community must have merged with the Paper Mario community.
And yes, Ninjago is legendary.

@blindsquarel honestly, as someone who briefly brushed against DK - played a tiny bit of old ones, finished Tropical Freeze and played some of the 3ds one - I can say that the quality did not decrese with time in terms of those games
But mostly, games are becoming more accessible, and they are dumbed down to the lowest denominator. Morrowind has stellar writing and levelling system, and they had to water the experience down so that normies could play Skyrim. Dialogues became 3 words per encounter, and it's barely an RPG anymore with literally everything being automated for you (you can choose perks and whether to increase mana/hp/stamina but it's nothing compared to Morrowind)
