Oh, yeah, I'm not in a big rush, @Tyranexx .... Fingers crossed they do bring X across to join the other 2 as well, though

So.... is it safe to come out again? I was kinda loathing to get on Pokémon Snap Life, err... Nintendo Life due to the surplus of Snap-related articles and the always lovely accompanying comment sections, even though one might argue that a snap or two might actually make the day of this aging Titan...

@ogo79 Now that is an ABSOLUTE insult to the simply stunning Golden Axe figurine sets. What on Earth were you thinking? Or were you even thinking at all?

So, who's his nemesis, then? B-Man?

Well, if they are thinking of a sequel for that on Switch, they'd surely want to port the original across 1st, @Tyranexx ....? Conception games are made by Spike Chunsoft, so they're not much like the ones made by Atlus! Didn't even know they'd published Alliance Alive in some places or whatever, since it was NISA over here for the HD Switch port. I'm hoping 13 Sentinels makes it to Steam, so I can get that, too

@Tyranexx I honestly don't know. I only watched the video review of the game, and other than that, I stayed away from any related article and/or comments section.

I always find them to be WAY too toxic, especially due to the so-called fans who will, 9 out of 10 times, take the opportunity to fling some kind of derogatory or otherwise negative comment in the general direction of Game Freak or The Pokémon Company, even if it's not relevant or applicable to the article in question.

Well, my grandmother that had a stroke on halloween is now in hospice. She doesn't have much time left. I did also finish my 2nd year of college with a 95% average, so that's hype, I guess.

@Tyranexx @ThanosReXXX I tend to not read the comment section for...pretty much anything these days. So I totally agree with you both. YouTube is especially bad with this. Oftentimes it's a cesspool of insults and negativity...no thank you. My time is too precious for this.

As for XCX, yeah I've still been playing it! Played it last night, too. There's some treasure spots that I found too, though some I can't get to since my mechanical/biological levels aren't high enough.

It's been a while since I've been in the forums, how's everyone doing?

(If you're answering please @ me)

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAy there.

Tyranexx

So far so good. Sore arm, a bit of fatigue. But the latter could very much be due to me needing to get to bed earlier. I did manage to leave work early as well!

@BruceCM I wonder if SE will release a XCX sequel on the Switch, then bring the first one over if the demand is high enough and the new release does well? Kind of like XC2/XC:DE. Time will tell!

The Conception games were done by Spike Chunsoft? I seem to recall them being associated with Atlus here, for some reason. Perhaps they were only the publisher? (Edit: According to Wikipedia, Atlus handled the distribution outside of Japan for CII on 3DS and Vita. Spike Chunsoft handled the Japanese and PC releases.) Looks like The Alliance Alive was handled by both NISA and Atlus depending on the area and platform. My hope is that 13 Sentinels makes it to the Switch, though I'm not against picking it up on another platform should I take up another down the line.

@ThanosReXXX To be honest, I forget to click on the video reviews here half the time and just read through the text anyway, due in part to the fact that they didn't used to have them. It would save me time in most cases, but I'm old school like that.

I'm a bit behind on Pokemon in general - I just finally played and beat one of the Let's Go games about a month ago and haven't played Sw/Sh yet - but I agree that some of the fandom is VERY toxic. I do believe Game Freak/TPC deserves some constructive criticism and do think the series has gone downhill a bit compared to the Nintendo DS days, but some people take things WAY too far with their "fanboyism". You'd think someone threw up on their plate of fish & chips....

@MarioLover92 I have found the occasional comment section online with some sanity, reason, and good humor. However, I learned ages ago when to back out. Though I try not to waste much time on them in general these days. At least here, the "What Games Are You Playing This Weekend?" articles are still relatively safe, as are the forums for the most part.

Glad to read you're progressing in XCX! That was always a bummer when one of my resource levels wasn't high enough, but it's a sweet feeling when you go back later when you know you can.

@LuigibrineTheGreat My sympathies. That's never a fun situation.

@TheJGG Congrats on beating Evrae! I remember you mentioning a few weeks ago that it was a progress blocker for you in FFX. It makes me wonder how I'll fare against it when the time comes. XD I just looked up what the thing looks like; talk about a form only a mother could love! It's always a wonderful feeling when you finally get past a tough boss or a difficult section of a game.

I agree the Sol sections in Twilight Princess are a huge pain; I struggled with it for a good while my first time through. It's a shame, because most of the Twilight Realm in TP is cool to be in; it's so alien. I wish there had been a bit more of it to explore, as long as it wasn't needless padding anyway. As for Xenoblade Chronicles, I've only played the Switch DE. I had some issues with Jade Face, though I managed to beat him after a couple of tries and managed to avoid scaling down the difficulty. I had more problems with the fight with Egil in Mechonis Core since the second phase is timed. I'm hoping to be able to compare notes on XC2 eventually.

I usually set my phone alarms to be pretty loud, though I tend to be a light sleeper an hour or two before my usual wake-up time. I'd love to rely on my body to wake up naturally, and after a time change I almost nail down a pattern. But sometimes tiredness and other factors can make my internal clock a bit unreliable. I need more consistent bedtimes on weekends - even the experts agree on this - but it's admittedly tempting to stay up a bit longer when I know I can sleep in the next day. I'm also not a morning person in general. I used to be quite a night owl, but that's worn off for the most part. It's rare that I stay up past 1 AM, even on weekends.

I'm planning to do a bit of travel, but nothing too crazy. And definitely not international anytime soon. No solid plans yet, but my hope is to get away for a day trip to the southern part of my state in a month or so. I meant to do this last spring, but then the whole Covid-19 mess happened. As for E3, I'm very pleased it's happening this year! Though I'll have to catch some presentations in the evening. I can get away with listening to some of the streams at work, but any watching will either be fleeting or over my lunch. The irony is last year I could've watched it uninhibited during the time it was supposed to run had it not been canceled; I was on furlough at the time.

I'd love to see that dragonfly photo if you still have it. The appearances of most creatures, even close up, don't bother me. Heck, I'll gladly handle animals that some people are afraid of, as long as they're domesticated or are used to being handled by professionals.

Oof. Again: physical media on other systems, for the most part, is a glorified license key these days. I have a decent connection these days thanks to a company laying down fiber lines, but that didn't used to be the case. One of my previous reasons for opting for physical media was due to snail-like download speeds. Sure, I had broadband, 6 MB/s. But the lines were oversold and I was often lucky to get even 1 MB down during high traffic hours. Even less on weekends, especially when major TV events were going on. I ran a test on speedtest.net on Superbowl Sunday one time, and my connection was at 0.6 MB/s. My parents' internet was even faster, and they're stuck with 3 MB down! I really feel for those who have slower connections. And AAA games definitely aren't shrinking in capacity anytime soon.

I did watch footage of PT when it was all the rage. A very interesting setting indeed, one that I wish had been a full-scale game. Some neat theories too. It would have been neat to see Silent Hills come to full fruition as well.

It still boggles my mind that Final Fantasy XV isn't self-contained, considering most JRPGs in general aren't multimedia in my experience unless the game is aimed at kids. (Note: I was very susceptible to multimedia marketing as a child lol) I'm thankful for Dezzy mentioning there's a full list available in the FF thread for when the time comes. A lot of Latin influences too, you say? Consider me intrigued! I'm not well-versed in Latin, but I do recognize a few words and phrases when I see/hear them. Love the Imperial Boss Theme!

@Tyranexx Yeah absolutely, those two parts of Nintendo Life are pretty tame from what I've seen. Just the way I like it - it's one big reason why I hang out here, after all. The AC:NH community at NL is really nice too, and one that I'm grateful for being a part of! I would imagine that I would do more of the treasure spots (that I can do, anyway) to raise my resource levels. I haven't gotten to the Skells yet - hopefully I will soon enough.

I posted my Mario drawing over at my Twitter page! I think I did a decent job overall, though I had some trouble with the flagpole base. There may be another thing or two that could use some improvement, but nevertheless, here it is!

@LuigibrineTheGreat Man...I'm sorry to hear about your grandmother. That's a tough time for sure. You have my sympathies, too.

@HotGoomba Not too bad, it’s a very fun time for Nintendo-PlayStation gamers. I hope I like NieR games, because they look right up my alley.

Apologies to @Snatcher, I’m responsible for at least 50% of the text walls here! Reading’s as fun as writing, no?

@MarioLover92 Finally! That’s a great drawing, well done. Next up is to colour it! Scan the image so if you mess up it’s not lost, but that could be the next process. Keep on!

Yeah, just I don't think Atlus had anything more to do with those games than publishing, @Tyranexx .... Would you call Ys or Trails NISA games? They've been localising those as well but surely you'd know they're made by Falcom! I
