So, I’m in a pizza king and there’s no one in here. It’s completely quiet with no music. There’s one guy working in the front and all he’s done is whisper super quietly. It feels like a stereotypical horror game that takes place in a pizza shop, and it’s kinda hilarious
One of the foam pads on the headphones I use with the computer broke at the seam, so I ordered generic ones, based on a review that mentioned using them for the same model of headphones.
I got them today and got instant buyers remorse because they are miniatures, like half or a third of the size, I could take the original pad and use it as a bag to keep the 10 new ones inside, that much size difference.
Thankfully though, they worked fine, they stretched without breaking or tearing. Sigh it's great because using the headphones without pads was a pain.
@Anti-Matter I think I'd get some fun out of Federation Force, but only if I were to find someone around where I live who would also play it. Which is highly unlikely since it wasn't a popular game to begin with. One of the negatives of living in the virtual boonies compared to those used to more urban/suburban environments. XD
Glad to read that you're still having fun with Yo-Kai Watch 3! I'd certainly get it, but...the physical version is VERY expensive (Yay small print runs), and the digital version requires way more space than my poor 3DS micro SD card can handle.
@MarioLover92Metroid: Other M is indeed linear. VERY linear. At least at first. The game opens up later on, but you can only do so much when the entirety of the game is stuck on a ship. Metroid Prime 3: Corruption had some linearity compared to the other two MP games, but there were still plenty of open sections. It's a criticism I agree with, though linearity in games generally doesn't bother me unless you're railroaded the whole time (like in modern Pokemon).
On Federation Force: From honest impressions and feedback I've gathered, I don't think it's a bad game and can be a fun one with other players. But I've read the single player is very difficult. Rather than slog through a game with ho-hum single player, I opted to skip it. Metroid: Samus Returns is much, MUCH better in every way.
On Tri Force Heroes: It's telling when, huge Zelda fan I am, I sell the game lol. It ranks at the very bottom of my Zelda pile. Plot-wise, it's nonsensically fun, and I like some of the buffs introduced by the clothing. But the gameplay. Bleck. Nope. Nadda. Hard pass. Never again.
Have the animatronics got you yet, @Blooper987....?
If an odd, creepy tune plays, GET OUT OF THERE! No pizza, no matter how heavenly the stuff is, is worth getting painfully stuffed in an animatronic suit. XD
Currently playing: Pokemon Scarlet DLC, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury (Switch)
Ok so the reason they had no music playing was cause normally they have game cubes you can play while you’re waiting for your pizza. They stopped doing that due to Covid I guess. They still had a tv we could watch though.
Property Brothers was all that was on so we watched that while enjoying our ok pizza.😂
I got my first nendoroid the other day, and Ya I'm going to start collecting figma's and such I really love them, I never had a fig or a nendoroid but I just found one I loved and had to get it, and now i'm hooked. I have to collect I just have to know, Posing them is so fun, if I can find any sonic one out there then insta buy for me, and some times on GS anniversary, you can buy a box that comes with a random nendoroid, whats good about this you ask?
they cut the price to 25 smackaro's! Its a small upgrade for you collection, man dude, I'm going to get all kinds on nendoroid's I may have one but every collector starts small.

Ah, well. Shame I wasn't as terrifying as I imagined myself to be @Tyranexx. Life is a precious thing so doing the things you love is very important. I've committed to not using my phone until I'm fully up, and I've done it for... about a month or so. I also enabled the Night Shift display on both my phone and my laptop, meaning there's an almost sepia-like quality to my display after the sun's set, and when it begins to darken.
It's getting hotter with every day and one area I notice it the most is the stone tiles around the swimming pool. They burn my feet quite quickly so I have to hop around like a cartoon character! Going outside is, I'd say, a health risk. So limiting my hours outside is important. Actually it's become easier, because I'm now stuck at home for another two weeks. One guy thought it was good to go and catch coronavirus. Silly humans, living is for kids!
No problems on you waiting, it may be the best thing to do. Of course as I've described over on the General FF thread, having PS+ means you'll get access to 20 free games. Such games that I at least am very interested in include; Until Dawn, The Last of Us, God of War, Persona 5, Final Fantasy XV Royal Edition, Crash N'Sane Trilogy, and... drumroll... Monster Hunter World! So I'd recommend investing in that to get a jumpstart into PlayStation life! Of course I'd recommend you buy Persona 5 Royal, because it has more voiced scenes, much more new content, and an entire third semester, adding a ninth dungeon, a new final boss and so many QOL improvements.
I don't think Demon's Souls being hard means it's not worth getting. I've played only two hours but I'm sure it'll be a deeply rewarding experience if I get my skill set to the fore. Love the analogy, but I'm a very quiet rager. I'm very calm in videogame rage periods, so it's a matter of smacking something that isn't prone to damage, like a pillow.
I really think P5's a game for you. The time investment will seem pretty overdone especially mid-game but seeing everything come to a head will be immensely better for it. Seeing your characters go all the way to LV90 is a real journey, and getting all the relationships / social links / confidants done is awesome. I never played a Persona game either but man it's vaulted all the way into easily my top five games of all time.
I think playing Remake will highlight the flaws of the game. It takes such a small section of the original (around six hours in Midgar) and turns it into a full 35 hour RPG full of great writing, designs, locations and epic boss fights. I don't think not playing 7 will ruin your enjoyment of the game, trust me, that was my first Final Fantasy game and it won me over.
The exploration emphasis of X was amazing. Seeing an open world game like FF15 and then realising how a game with a better world design ran on a massively inferior console really hits home the fact that X was a really good game. The combat was a really great spin on the Xenoblade combat formula, though it's a shame difficulty can spike so easily if you don't grind for a lot of time. The Skells sold the game for me and the marketing material doesn't do the feeling of riding a giant mechanical robot weapon justice. It'd better get out on Switch, I'm already looking forward to Skyward Sword! I really want to explore the games I couldn't get back in the day.
I'm still waiting for FFVII Remake on Steam, @TheJGG & it seems people think most of the additional content is good but there's some tedious bits & it's not all really needed Still, I'm definitely looking forward to playing that myself whenever it does come across
I'm pretty surprised a FF nerd like you has skipped on PlayStation @BruceCM... but that's how the cookie crumbles. FFXV did come out on Xbox, in fact it's slowly becoming the better RPG platform. There's a minor amount of pathetic filler content for sure but overall it's a fantastic package.
Well, I only got started with FF on DS, @TheJGG .... Then, PSP & Vita, followed by the Android ports! Since I got the PC to fill in the ones I hadn't played before & it's now pretty certain they will come to Steam soon, anyway What I have seen of it looks great & reception has been very positive, so if some of the optional extra bits aren't, I might skip some of them!
Anybody notice that House in Fata Morgana - Dreams of the Revenant Edition is one review away from potentially breaking Ocarina of Time's record for the highest-rated game on Metacritic. Just thought that was interesting as I never heard of the game before.
@TheJGG I certainly use apps like F.lux on my electronic devices that are compatible with it, and I turn down the brightness to where I can still (properly) see what's happening on-screen without blasting my eyeballs off lol. Still, my goal is to completely unplug at least 30-60 minutes before bed. I've been...somewhat successful lately. It depends in part on what game I'm playing. XD
Ah yes, the hot tile/rock/concrete dance. THAT is never fun. Makes you wonder how those folks who walk on hot coals for enlightenment do it. My guess is through practice, mental fortitude, and natural heat tolerance. Oof. Close contact with someone with Covid, huh? Having to quarantine for two weeks isn't fun, but at least some of your hobbies, from what I gather, lend themselves positively to the situatoin.
I've long kept half an eye on the wonders of PS+. That would be a wonderful rabbit hole I'd both love and hate to get dragged into. On one hand, that gives one access to all these cool games they may be interested in. On the other, goodbye backlog progress. XD You seem to be interested in a healthy mix of games, many of which I'd also like to play/try. Though for Monster Hunter, I think Rise is more than scratching that itch right now. I've always wanted to try the original The Last of Us as well. I've wanted to step into the God of War series for years (especially since I enjoy Greek/Roman mythology), and I've been told I missed out on Crash back in the day.
As for Demon Souls...maybe someday when it's on deep discount and I'm in the correct mood for some masochism. It's been awhile since I've truly been angry at a game. Typically the occasional expletive isn't a warning sign, but if my heart rate and voice volumes start going up (and the expletive count multiplies), that's usually an indicator I need to step back a minute and take a break. The irony is I rarely if ever swear around other people. I've been trying to work on NOT doing it when I'm alone, but that's unfortunately easier said than done. Though yes, pillows usually do get unfairly punished.
I may one day try a Persona game, especially P5 since many rank it at the top of their lists. However, lately I have a problem of picking up JRPGs I won't get to or finish anytime soon. For example, thanks to the Golden Week sales going on, I finally caved and picked up Etrian Odyssey IV on the 3DS eShop as there's no guarantee Atlus will have another sale on that platform.
I've heard amazing things about FF7 Remake. Originally I found the idea odd that they were splitting it into three games (Hello, $$$). From (mostly) non-spoiler impressions, I've found that they certainly weren't lazy about the concept and hit a home run, as far as many people are concerned. I'm still curious about trying out the original just to see why everyone fell in love with it back in the day.
Hah, for a second with the topic shift, I thought "X" meant Final Fantasy X, not Xenoblade Chronicles X. It did take me a bit to get accustomed to the combat in XCX since I hadn't played anything like it before that point; I even failed the very first fight! I caught on quickly after that, but MAN was I lost at first. I loved exploring in that game, always curious about what cool thing I'd find next on Mira. Noctilum is by far my favorite continent, though something about Oblivia's desolation is also attractive to me. The Skells were awesome! The first time Wir Fliegen started playing was a moment of pure joy. The different parts really brought a lot to the table, though I had to do some grinding to land the better ones I knew I'd need for the final fight sequence lol.

@Tyranexx Yeah, linearity doesn't really bother me that much, especially in platformers. I'm thinking Other M will be decent at best if I do get it, not sure when that'll be though since I have a lot of other games.
By the way I just got back to Xenoblade Chronicles X. I've been exploring for quite a bit (really like its environments) and did some side quests. I found myself sort of binge-playing it the last few sessions I had, lol. It's definitely one of the best games the Wii U has to offer!
"Give yourself the gift of being joyfully you."
Favorite game: Super Mario 3D World
AKA MarioVillager92. Ask if you want to be Switch friends with me, but I want to get to know you first. Thanks! ❤️
@MarioLover92 No rush on Other M. I know what it's like to have a pile of unplayed games. XD
Xenoblade Chronicles X is indeed an amazing game! Not sure if I can expand on it much more than I have in this thread already though lol. It's probably the best Switch port candidate left from the Wii U, in my humble opinion. All this talk about XCX makes me want to dive back into the game, but I'm not sure I want to commit another 100+ hours.

I hope they do bring that across as well, @Tyranexx.... They probably want to do something else next, though! Haven't they been working on something new for awhile? Not sure quite how long, so no idea when it might come, though
@BruceCM If I recall, Monolith is working on something else, if their commonly reported job listings and expansions are anything to go by! Whether it's a new Xenoblade or something else entirely, I'm not certain. No rush on it in any case; the best games, IMO, have a lot of time and care put into them.
