Thanks you guys!!! It went pretty well overall. A lot of video training and then I followed around this nice guy named Patrick who told me all about why our government sucks and said the F word probably 100 or so times 😂
@Sunsy Thanks! Hopefully I'll get around to finishing the drawing. Just been busy with quite a bit of stuff, lol.
@Tyranexx Thanks! I had a good Mario Day. Yeah that sounds like a good plan to get 3D All-Stars. As for SMG2, I did hear that the devs couldn't put all their ideas into the first game, and by the time they were making the sequel, they were coming up with so much ideas that they ended up making a full game.
Especially with what's been going on, I'm exactly the same way. I do NOT want a single germ on my consoles or controllers. Just goes to show the importance of washing your hands.

AKA MarioVillager92. Ask if you want to be Switch friends with me, but I want to get to know you first. Thanks! ❤️
@TheJGG You've provided some great examples, all starting with Ocarina of Time:
Sheik is indeed an excellent character. S/he makes a great alter ego who actually does help Link out during his adventure...right up until she reveals herself and is kidnapped. Best character development in the series up to this point.
Not sure if this completely counts, but in The Wind Waker, Tetra is an amazing character. She's spunky, tomboyish, and has decent character development in general up until her true identity/lineage (that not even she knew of, apparently) is revealed, and then she's left at the bottom of the sea for her protection and...abducted anyway. I feel like that could've been handled better and seemed VERY unlike Tetra.
In Twilight Princess, she admittedly isn't very active outside of the castle for most of the game as she's essentially a prisoner of war, but she's far from helpless IMO. She helps out Link, saves Midna at her own expense, and definitely exudes experience, courage, and wisdom. She actively helps Link take down Ganondorf.
With Spirit Tracks, you've definitely hit on all the best aspects as you can play as Zelda (in a sense) and experience her personality. She's smart, competent, and willing to get her hands dirty (except when it comes to mice lol). She's one of the reasons why I rank it above Phantom Hourglass and, quite frankly, why I don't understand why people prefer PH.
You've hit on Skyward Sword pretty well.
In A Link Between Worlds, while she admittedly spends a good chunk of the game stuck in a portrait, she does have some personality and graciously forgives Princess Hilda for her selfishness.
I know you love Breath of the Wild, so no need to go into why I like this version of Zelda! She's one of the most fleshed out versions of the character to date, if not the best.
Honestly, I like every version of Zelda from Ocarina of Time onward when she appears. Even in most of the games where she doesn't do much, what dialogue/personality she does have portrays her as kind, courageous, and likeable.
@Anti-Matter I don't own a PlayStation machine, unfortunately. I'd like to get one and nearly picked up a PS4 at one point, but my Nintendo systems (and Pokemon Go on mobile) keep me busy enough as it is! XD I never knew anyone with a PS3, but I have cousins who used to have a PS2. They never had any games I was into besides Guitar Hero, however. I did try a bit of Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City, but I don't find those games fun for very long. I mostly just like stealing the vehicles and wrecking everything. XD
Thanks for the Bentley Sings Opera video. That was pretty entertaining! I didn't realize so many voice actors I enjoy have loaned their voices to the Sly Cooper series. That's another series I've heard is enjoyable.
@MarioLover92 Glad you had a good Mario Day. Hope you fit in plenty of plumber action!
I've never been a fan of grimy things, especially controllers. How anyone can stand having greasy, salty controllers with last week's pizza stains on them is beyond me lol. I'm not a germaphobe, but I am a clean freak! I don't eat or drink while using a controller or playing on a handheld device.
Currently playing: Pokemon Scarlet - The Indigo Disk, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury (Switch)
@Tyranexx That's a very detailed breakdown, well done and thank you. To add onto Twilight Princess' Zelda, she has very little presence compared to in other games but she still has some very good characterisation moments, like when she gives her life force to Midna to allow her to live in the world of light, when she surrenders her kingdom willingly to Zant, or when she sees Midna off. They brought her character some maturity, and demonstrated that despite her seemingly porcelain exterior she wasn't very fragile at all.
Wind Waker of course counts but it's worth mentioning that Tetra doesn't even know she is Zelda until King Daphnes combines the Triforce of Wisdom. In that I might as well observe that she may be called Tetra because of her connection to the Triforce of Wisdom, in having a piece of it around her neck. Of course the word "tetra" means four, and in Tetris, "tetrominoes" are made of four blocks, but it's... etymology.
Breath of the Wild's Zelda is, for me, the most fleshed out in the whole series, rivalled only by the Zelda from Skyward Sword. She was written very well, and defied the characterisation of the Twilight Princess Zelda in that she didn't have an air of maturity. She started the chain of memories (sorry, that's a KH reference) as a spoilt, entitled petulant brat but she was by the end, willing to stand between Link and a Guardian. The incident at the bazaar shaped Link and Zelda's dynamic for the better and established them as equals in a mutual friendship. Her voice acting reflects this, and while it can potentially grate at times it's very good otherwise. As I remember saying a few months ago I found her voice acting in Age of Calamity a significant improvement. It must have been voice direction because Patricia Summersett had glimpses of brilliance in Breath of the Wild, and really upped the consistency in Age of Calamity. Of course there were more cutscenes, but I saw that as more chances for her to shine. And she did.
@Blooper987 Good to know you managed to find employment during the worst worldwide event since the world wars!
@Tyranexx
Oh, when you get PS4 machine in the future, make sure you try Ratchet & Clank 2016 (reboot). It based on 1st Ratchet & Clank from PS2 with huge changes and some features from Into The Nexus.
@Snatcher
I couldn't believe if i purchased and played Transformers Prime Wii U, the game that never ever before in my radar. 😅
Did i like it ? So so.
Because at least the game developed by NowPro, Japanese developer that made Little Leage Baseball games (2008 - 2010) on Wii and PS3.
@Ryu_Niiyama Hello! I only got the memo about messaging you (Notifications being turned off) recently, haha. I must have read your note before you made those edits. Do you mind me replying to you here?
I thought I would ask here rather than start a new thread: Do any of you guys play LoL Wold Rift?
Not really into mobile gaming but this has really got it hooks into me and would be fun getting a consistent team together (where everyone knows their roles) for ranked.
@TheJGG Ah yes, very true. I alluded to Zelda surrendering the kingdom to Zant by the "prisoner of war" reference (was trying to keep it brief up there) and fully agree that surrendering the kingdom was the best course of action; her thoughts were what was best for her subjects, after all, which included needless bloodshed. Good point about bringing up the final scene where they see Midna off; I often think about Midna's characterization when that scene comes to mind (Not sure I've mentioned it, but she's my favorite companion in the entire series), but Zelda is also characterized well.
On The Wind Waker: Tetra not knowing that she's Zelda is why I questionably counted her. I didn't play the game until the Wii U and, while that reveal wasn't completely out of left field in hindsight, I wasn't entirely expecting it either.[/spoiler]
Agreed that BotW's Zelda is the best characterization of her since Skyward Sword. It's interesting, once all the memories are pieced together, to watch her character progress from a prideful, slightly spoiled princess with plenty of insecurities. I found her journal in the castle, and that certainly gave some context to earlier scenes; another provided some context to the king's motivations. The best part is, in my opinion, that the game doesn't sugarcoat them or any of the main/side characters into perfect, morally pure Adonises. It was fun to watch her and Link's relationship morph and change over time. Her voice did seem a bit off at times, but on the whole, I thought Patricia Summersett nailed it.
I do look forward to playing Age of Calamity to learn more about these characters, and how much Summersett has nurtured her role.
@Anti-Matter The Ratchet & Clank reboot is one of the reasons why I'd like to (eventually) grab a PlayStation system. Along with a plethora of other games lol. As much as I enjoy Nintendo systems and the fact that the Switch has way more third-party support than the Wii U ever dreamed of, the fact remains that it just can't handle some modern games. That's ignoring many exclusives.
Conversely, at least with last gen, there wasn't much to make me want a Xbox One. Power and utility are only afterthoughts when I consider consoles; it's the games and franchises available that pull me towards a system.

@Snatcher You and me both, played Apex on Switch this morning, and on PC this afternoon. Enjoy Crash 4, I'm still thinking about waiting on it only because my birthday is in a few weeks in early April.
The resident Trolls superfan! Saw Trolls Band Together via early access and absolutely loved it!
@Sunsy Oh and people saying that the game does not look good, Its not really true they gave it its own art style to look cell shaded just for the switch. (And I will)
@COVIDberry Howdy, that’s fine. That’s what the chit chat thread is for. Just note I may be slow to reply if I am not actively perusing the site. Weekends are bad for me as I am usually doing chores, training and studying.

@Tyranexx
Same.
I cannot consider XBOX ONE for 2 reasons: Online DRM checking and Almost NO exclusives. I can compare between PS4 and XBOX ONE, the 3rd party games are nearly 99% same. To tell you, i can only consider Three XBOX ONE games: Disneyland Adventures, Kinect Disney Rush and Zoo Tycoon. But, they are actually Remastered version from XBOX 360 version with Normal controller option to play for Disneyland Adventures and Kinect Disney Rush. Not worthy if i buy XBOX ONE for playing only 3 exclusive games.
I choose PS4 version 3rd party games instead of XBOX ONE version for 2 reasons: Offline play (No DRM checking) and Blue BluRay box. If you display PS4 games in the shelf, you can see some colorful spine on PS4 cover than black color on XBOX ONE cover spine. Also, PS4 has some indie games in physical by SLG, LRG, Red Art Games, eastsoftasia, etc, perfect for game collectors.
Btw, do you like also Minecraft style games ?
PS4 have Portal Knights and Dragon Quest Builders 1 & 2, perfect 60 fps builder games on PS4.
Let me tell you one thing what if ACNH have full 3D exploring. If you measure the island size in ACNH, it was around 110 x 110 squares something. It may looks big but when you play Portal Knights and choose Small size Island, you will realize how small 110 x 110 squares is. In Portal Knights, the small island maximum area size = 128 x 128 blocks and when you turn around, you can literally see the edges of your island. And to imagine if this happened on ACNH, you will realize the 110 x 110 squares size island is too small. You will see your tiny island already surrounded by a whole massive ocean.
About Dragon Quest Builders 1 & 2, the first game have very huge size island, the sequel have even too huge size for Isle of Awakening. Too huge like you can literally make a giant town that even bigger than ACNH. Here is the island tour of DQB2, you will disbelieve to see how beautiful that island.
Oh, yeah. This is also video of island tour of Portal Knights.
@Anti-Matter Yep, the lack of Xbox One exclusives plus some of Microsoft's marketing and "always online" debacles early on (Namely because, at the time, I didn't have reliable internet), dissuaded me from the system. Many games I would get on it are available on the PS4. The only exception would be the Rare Replay collection, but I don't consider that enough to make me run out and buy a console. It's a shame, because I feel like the Xbox 360 was handled a lot better. I didn't own one of those either, but I did play a cousin's system a few times and enjoyed some of the games they had.
I haven't really gotten into Minecraft/building games. There's absolutely nothing wrong with them, and I definitely would have enjoyed them at one point in my life. I used to really be into simulation type games, my favorites being the Roller Coaster Tycoon and Zoo Tycoon series. However, that was back in the day when I was a kid and had a LOT more time on my hands lol. I think my problem is that many of these games are just too much of a sandbox and don't really have an "end", and I like working towards an end goal. That said, I do like the Dragon Quest series and have contemplated picking up one of the Dragon Quest Builders titles on the Switch.
