@Tyranexx Yup, bombs are also a way to catch fish, so if you manage to also use the other two methods I've hinted at, you'll be able to cross 3 items/ways off the list.
So, you ran into your first Guardian, huh? I bet that was a bit hectic or at least exciting. My first encounter with them was a truly chaotic one, because I ran into several of them at once, near the ruins of an abandoned village. It was kinda like a laser disco show, albeit a rather deadly one...
Let me tell you, I barely escaped. I kinda got caught up in the whole "you can go anywhere right from the start" thing, and I hardly had any power ups or decent weapons. Guess I got carried away with it...
By the way, did you also already encounter the stone giant (or golem, can't remember what it was called exactly)? That one should actually cross your path pretty early on in the game, unless of course you've taken a completely different route.
Well since it was a repeat day there wasn't anything new to get anyway if you did all the days already.
Just sitting in my room watching anime with an incense I got 2 charmander, 3 Magicarp and a porygon. That was a surprise! I figured I would get one or two but not 5 just sitting there!

Dearest, @Heavyarms55, Japanese language smartypants, what does "kun" mean? I've seen it used like a suffix, on the end of names/nouns. NL's article today about Super Mario-kun is what sparked my question.
@WoomyNNYes kun doesn't have a good English language translation. Very roughly it's a suffix meaning "Mr." used for someone younger than the speaker, usually boys. Occasionally elderly people will use it for adults that are still younger too.
It's generally used for males but some people do use it with females too. It's less polite than the gender neutral "san" but still a little more polite than using just someone's name.
It's also sometimes used affectionately toward friends or relatives too.
The name suffixes in Japanese just don't have good English language versions. The closest we have, Mr. Ms. and Mrs. are only vaguely similar.
Japanese language puts a lot of importance on politeness and relative social position. But it also gets skewed by personal relationships too. So even if someone is fine being called "WoomyNNYes-kun" by their friends or mother, a stranger or younger person addressing them that way might be seen as rude or overly friendly.

@Heavyarms55
Hi. 😀
Have you read my post about "Keeping Arcade live with Dance Dance Revolution" on previous page ?
I believe you have seen DDR machines oftenly in Japan when you have a job over there.
So i wonder if you also still saw DDR machines on some game Arcades in USA.
@WoomyNNYes
Kun is a suffix to call a young boy.
Chan is a suffix to call a young girl.
Both of them are suffixes just like Mr, Mrs, Ms.
But @Heavyarms55, i still don't understand why there is a manga called Kobo-Chan instead of Kobo-Kun. Kobo is a boy but got suffix Chan. Oh, wait... Crayon Shin-Chan too.
@Tyranexx Oh man, I've heard that it was hard. I heard about that from SNES Drunk's hardest SNES games video. You'd think that for a game based on a Disney movie, it'd be easy for the little ones. lol
Yes we do - I'm aiming for a career for making games, after all! I did get a little panicky when that crash happened, admittedly. Again, everything's all hunky dory, plus I have island backup enabled.

@Anti-Matter I haven't been to an arcade in the US since before I lived in Japan. Because America is currently a disease infested hellhole right now. But back about 6+ years ago they were one of the most common machines that I would see. We also had one in the recreation hall on my university campus.
@Anti-Matter@Tendo64 chan is sometimes used for boys too. Especially young boys. But using it for older males sometimes implies things. Either rude things or... mature things, depending on context.
But for young boys you can think of it like Joey is to Joe or Bobby is to Robert.

So we finally have a Direct of some sort tomorrow? It's an Indie World Showcase, but I'll take about anything at this point. I'll have to catch the news after the fact, unfortunately; as usual, it's occurring during work hours.
@BruceCM Quite well overall; Didn't play as much as I'd like yesterday, but I did make it to Kakariko Village for the first time. I took my time poking into every corner of the place. During my next session, I hope to talk to the esteemed Impa. I love Impa, she's one of my favorite recurring characters in the series. Every incarnation/version of her brings something neat and exciting to the table IMO.
@ThanosReXXX To clarify, that was my first mobile Guardian. In ruined areas with a ton of broken/deactivated ones sitting around (or so it seems....), I've accidentally ran into a few immobile units that behave a lot like Beamos enemies from previous titles. I've been lasered to death by this variety a couple of times. Once when I was climbing a wall, so there wasn't much I could do. That was in the Great Plateau area even (I was trying to investigate a shrine there). Back to the mobile Guardian, I'd noticed it wandering around earlier at a distance but didn't realize the tree I was investigating was near its patrol route; it came wandering up just as Link made it to the top of the tree, so I'd call that a close shave lol.
Stone giants? You mean the Stone Talus? I've ran across a couple of those too. I'm certain Link isn't at a level to (reasonably) take them on yet and live, so I usually flee. XD I've also ran across a giant skeletal Hinox type thing that only wanders around a certain area at night, and I did manage to take down what I'm pretty sure was a Wizzrobe last night...with the aid of a LOT of food lol. Those sure love putting on a fiery show!
@Heavyarms55 Yeah, I didn't sweat getting shinies too much, though it would have been nice to find a couple of shiny Piplup. XD Oh well. I do have a shiny Empoleon, and I suppose I could trade for a better one if the opportunity ever presents itself. I was running an incense both days when I was out, hoping that it would help. It did, but not quite for what I was looking for. XD
I've had decent luck running incense at home, now that Niantic reactivated the pandemic bonuses.
@MarioLover92 A babysitter I had owned that Genesis; it belonged to her older son. I was the best one at the game to my knowledge, but that isn't saying much when I could only get most of the way through the second level. XD Those giraffes are a pain to jump on! Some of the leaps are hard to make, and you don't have long; they like to tip their heads upward and send you rolling down their necks to your death. I think they had Aladdin too, but I didn't do too well in that one either. XD
Phew! Hooray for backups! Now if only Nintendo would allow us to do backups to an SD card....
@Tyranexx Hey, Shiny Celebi event is a thing now! I'm rather pleased by that! I saw that Kanto event coming up early next year leads to a shiny Mew and... is locked behind a paywall. Which made me pretty upset. And yet I can't claim I'm not tempted because having a legal, legitimate, shiny Mew is all but impossible right now - but in a way that actually makes releasing it behind a paywall worse. - Unless they let us get the event with coins - Even if it was like, 3000 coins, I'd save up for that. But paying real cash is really annoying.
BUT at least the shiny Celebi event seems to be free! Just play the game and unlock it, which I am a fan of.
On another note, how do we play with our Pokemon? One of the tasks says to play with out buddy. I thought that just meant give it treats and let it follow you. Which I did, which didn't seem to work. It only counted for the treat giving.
@Tyranexx Ah, I see. That sounds like a tough level. Never played it though - plus I didn't have many licensed games back then. We did have Earthworm Jim on the SNES as well, I remember that game being hard when I first played it. And it's still hard for me, lol. The last time I played it, it was on my Sega Genesis Mini. I made it up to the second level, called What The Heck. I kept getting destroyed in it. Yep, that game is ruthless all right. XD
Yeah, that would be cool if there were SD card backups too. But the island backups are definitely better than nothing.

Ask if you want to be Switch friends with me, but I'd like to know you first. Thanks! ❤️
@Tyranexx Haha, yeah, no need to clarify. I wasn't assuming that you came across a petrified Guardian. And yes, I meant the Talus. I had to look that up, though.
You can relatively easily beat them, though, even with vanilla Link. You just have to run circles around it, throw bombs, and when it kneels down/freezes, do a Mario goomba stomp and jump on its head, where its weak point is. (edit: and then proceed to hack/beat it with a weapon, or if you can manage it, place a bomb there and jump off it again)
A couple of repeats of that recipe should do the trick just fine.
It has been 7 years since i started to collect original video games.
I started by only 12 3DS games by December 2013, now i will have more than 240 games altogether by the end of year 2020. I started by only 3DS games on year 2013, but now i have collected 13 different video games on this year ( 7 from Nintendo: GBA, NDS, 3DS, Gamecube, Wii, Wii U, Switch. 5 from PlayStation : PS1, PS2, PS3, PS4, PSP. 1 from XBOX 360, games only machine later)
XBOX 360 will be my new experience as i have never played before but only ever knew since 12 years ago. DDR and Kinect games are the only games i have interest about from XBOX 360 as i will buy XBOX 360 for playing rhythm and casual games.
Later during year 2021, i will consider XBOX Classic as i have never played before too. I knew about XBOX classic machine since year 2002, it was when i have graduated from Senior High School and i only knew about PS2 during that era.
Same as XBOX 360, i only interested by DDR Ultramix 1 - 4 from XBOX Classic with a few multi console games for kids on it.
