@WoomyNNYes They were for the last week and a half, but the plan is to resume class as normal next week. However we are not resuming extra circular activities of almost any sort until fall. And of course mandatory masks, open windows, disinfectant spray everywhere.

@Heavyarms55 Ah, yeah, I was gonna ask about the windows, for air circulation. Not sure how that works when it's summer, or hot out - Meaning, not sure how tolerable the heat is indoors.
@WoomyNNYes It's gonna be hot. Mostly, it's gonna be humid. Summer in Japan is more humid than hot in my opinion. Some days feel like you can swim in the air. Very tropical.

@Tyranexx Completely agreed on not adhering too strictly to holiday itineraries, because that usually backfires, actually becoming a potential trip ruiner...
As for the outdoors: I may live in the city, but I just LOVE everything nature, so I'd be all for traipsing around the woods, or whatever it is that you people do over there. As long as there's something nice to see, or some nice photo opportunities (I mean: you could have guessed, seeing as you've already seen my local nature pictures, and perhaps you've also seen the ones with the sun coming up in the morning. If not, I'll re-post the album later on), then I'm good. And besides: if I come over to visit you guys in your natural habitats, then I would obviously also want to have the tour of the area, of course.
@NintendoByNature Yes I did, and yes I did mention it as well, several times over the last couple of weeks, ever since a couple of you started talking about your islands and stuff. I just had to wait a bit for my final work-related bonus to arrive, and now that it finally arrived, I was able to order a bunch of stuff, among which two Switch games. The other one is Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3, which I was also supposed to give a go yesterday evening, but I got swept up in the Animal Crossing vibe, and I wanted to play until I got rid of my first debt to Tom Nook, only to plunge into another debt by buying a house.
And then after that, I just kept on fishing, and cutting trees and hammering rocks and so on, and so on, telling myself every time "just one more, and then I'll call it a night", but that thought got stretched out for yet another hour. And because I was first playing in handheld mode, I "obviously" also had to check how it looked on the big screen...
Oh, well. So, suffice to say, I still have to try out the other game. And today, I didn't have much time to play, perhaps later on, but I'm not sure, we'll see. Thanks for the fruit offer, I'll keep it in mind, because I'm all out of oranges. Have to get my house up and running, that museum guy in gear, and seeing as I only played the first bit, I still have to get access to the airport as well.
@Eel Thanks! I've certainly enjoyed it so far. As for that pizza: cutest and little? That specific brand is called "Big Americans", and it's about 12 inches in diameter:
(I only know the size because of the size of the plate, which is about another 1.2 inches wider)
But it's also the angle at which I took that photo. Makes it look smaller than it actually is. Even the plate looks small, and it definitely isn't. Anyway, it was big enough for me. I like my dinner to be fulfilling, but not overly so.
I like my coffee and cakes or pastries afterwards, so I need room left in my stomach, something a wagon wheel-sized pizza definitely wouldn't be helping with...
@MarioLover92 Thanks! I certainly have enjoyed both so far.
@ogo79 I like to switch it up every now and then, so I eat various kinds of pizza. But have no fear: pineapple pizza is still firmly locked onto the menu...
@Eel Yeah, it's kinda weird and annoying how that always curls up in the oven. When you order a pizza from a restaurant or pizza place, they usually use bigger slices of pepperoni, and this is also one of those thick-crusted pizzas, almost more akin to bread than to pizza dough, so that also makes it look a bit chubby.

@ThanosReXXX I knew you had your eye on it, but didnt know you pulled the trigger. MuA3 Was one of my favorite 2019 games. You're going to love it just because i know how much of a marvel fan you are. Evedytime i found a main 4 character set, I would say "ok I'm riding them out til the end." Then I'd get a couple more cast members and drop 1 to put them in. There are so many good characters. It was cool playing as xmen. Black panther, even ghost rider. You'll love it.
@NintendoByNature Well, there's a reason I bought it: I own all the other games in the series as well, and also the side-series with just the X-Men (X-Men Legends) made by the same developers, back in the GameCube days, so I've no doubt whatsoever that I'll enjoy it.

@Heavyarms55 Heaven forbid if people have opinions that go against the majority of a fandom. They'll live lol. Anyone stressing out too much over this stuff has too much time on their hands.
Honestly, from a dev perspective, the limited Pokedex makes a lot of sense. That's a TON of rendering and data, not to mention all the palette swaps for shiny forms and special Pokemon forms floating around. As the Pokedex keeps growing, I don't see HOW temporarily trimming out some of the 'Mon can be avoided going forward. Many games don't have to deal with that problem. As much as I and many others would like to have all their favorites in that game, it just really isn't feasible anymore.
(Disclaimer: I'm not a game dev, but I do know some game design basics and would like to delve into it again at some point. I haven't done much with it since college. I'll need a better personal home machine first...)
There's a time limit for online battles, eh? I can kind of understand why that exists, but you'd think they'd have different limits for different formats....
On the DLC: I'm sure it'll be one of the few times I delve into buying DLC, but it'll be in my own time. I'll likely play through the initial game, take a bit of a break, then head back to do the DLC.
Summer in Japan sounds a lot like where I live, actually....The heat normally isn't as bad as, say, somewhere in the southern part of the US, but our summer humidity...blah. I think I'd rather live somewhere hot and dry. XD
@ThanosReXXX Traipsing around the woods on a nice day is a great pastime. I do recommend keeping to trails and paths around here though; I don't know how sensitive your skin is to certain plants, but some of our native undergrowth cause skin irritation. In my area, you have to watch for poison ivy, Virginia creeper (this looks similar to poison ivy, but there are five leaves instead of three, and the skin irritant is different), and itchweed. There's plenty of wildlife too, if you know where to look. White-tailed deer, legions of squirrels, raccoons, birds (including birds of prey), turtles, snakes, lizards, foxes, coyotes, the ever elusive bobcat....
Part of the outdoors is indeed the natural environment of Gnerdius Tyranexxus, but they quite enjoy their indoor cave dwelling environment that comes with plumbing, air conditioning, and certain electronic devices....

This blue eye perceives all things conjoined. The past, the future, and the present. Everything flows and all is connected. This eye is not merely seen reality. It is touching the truth. Open the eye of truth... There is nothing to fear.
@Tyranexx I suppose I'm as susceptible as the next guy, if we're talking poison ivy or sumac, or whatever kind of prickly, annoying weeds, but I'm not hyper-allergic to anything, other than SJW's, PC culture and the chronically insulted...
Either way, sounds like the perfect location to hone my smart phone photo skills, and to extend my nature portfolio, so I'm game. Pun intended...

@NintendoByNature That’s cool you picked up Bioshock. I remember playing that one again recently on PS + and the atmosphere and sound design are still really impressive. I recommend playing with headphones. The guns do lack the “oomph” of an FPS like Doom, but the powers are still pretty fun.
Did you get around to the Wonderful 101, yet? I was curious about how the Switch port plays.
@Tyranxx That’s interesting you brought that up. Apparently Blazing Fury was the first ride in park and at one point the park was called Silver Dollar City. The ride may also been called Fire in the Hole. Which might mean they created two identical rollercoasters and put one in Pigeon Forge and the the other Branson. Unless I’m reading it wrong...
I remember them constructing the Tennessee Tornado last time I went there. It sounds like a fun coaster.
I always liked rollercoasters as well. Unfortunately Louisiana and Texas have fallen on hard times with amusement parks. Our Six Flags in New Orleans shut down after Katrina flooded the park, and the “Astroworld” in Houston closed when I was kid. Schlitterbahn (a waterpark near Austin) is a good place, but a long drive.
I still want to make it to Cedar Point someday, but I don’t often travel to the Midwest. Have you been there?
@NintendoByNature Allow me to jump in, seeing as Bioshock is one of my favorite series: the whole premise is based around a "what if" story, taking elements from fiction as well as from real life. The real part of it is that the founder of the world you'll be playing in, is based upon Howard Hughes, the mad, reclusive billionaire of days gone by.
The what if and/or fiction part is taking that character, and instead of making him flee in his own mansion, making him flee to a hideout of his own making, far below sea level, and then hiring a bunch of scientists to do all kinds of experiments for the betterment of mankind, which is also where some of the supernatural stuff comes about.
But of course, as is staple in any good sci-fi horror type story, things go horribly wrong, and that is where your character gets dropped into the story, a decade or so later, so while you're playing, you'll slowly learn what has happened, and how it all got that far. I won't say any more, also to prevent spoilers, but suffice to say that it is definitely a series worth playing, especially the first two games.
So, if any of that even remotely piques your interest, then I'd say you have yet another bunch of games for your list...
@Tyranexx Yeah it's because the first part of the summer is also the rainy season - or at least I assume that's part of why it gets so humid.
Anyway, I honestly don't buy into the idea that the majority of the fandom dislike SW/SH, it's just the a popular thing to hate on and those people are louder. (I'm sure there's a big chance someone is gonna read this comment and feel the need to tell me how "wrong" I am - if that's you, reader, don't waste your time.)
The reason I like the limited dex is largely because of game balance. The National dex is too large and you end up with so many redundant Pokemon that fill the same niche. As well as some Pokemon that were just too powerful. Pokemon like Landorus-T and Mega Kangaskhan. In the format Mega-Kanga was legal, I quote a former world champion in saying "It warped the entire metagame around it". And Landorus-T has seen usage upwards of 50% of teams at times when its been legal. The way I see it, they had several options they could have done to fix this:
1. They could have made it so Pokemon was a game somewhat like League of Legends or Overwatch with characters constantly getting reworked to be better or worse in an attempt to create a balanced game - but with nearing 1000 creatures, this would be a monstrous under-taking. This style also leads to other problems such as reworks taking an OP character and making them worthless, or unintentionally making them even more broken.
2. They could have gone the route that the fan site Smogon tries (and in my opinion is now badly failing) to do. Which is to create a tier based metagame and moving Pokemon up and down a tier list over and over seeking that same balance. Which can result in similar issues, and you end up with lots of ban-hammers.
3. They do what they did, which is to cherry pick a roster of Pokemon for lore and balance reasons and gradually re-introduce some more to freshen up the metagame as the months go by to shake things up a little, and now adding a bunch which will turn the meta on its head with the DLC.
A problem they have not properly addressed though is that they only seem to pay attention to the official VGC doubles format. I would argue that that format is one of the best we've ever seen. Perhaps not the best, but close. Dynamax is obviously more balanced in doubles, the time limit is perfect for it and there is a very healthy mixture of Pokemon and teams floating around. But what is balanced in Doubles is often total crap or utterly broken in singles and they've done little to support the singles format. They don't even have a ranked ladder for full 6v6 singles despite it being a hugely popular format that many people play. I understand that frustration and share it.
And as for playing on your own time, I understand that totally. It's not like the DLC is going anywhere. And even the early adopter bonus we got in SW/SH - G-max Meowth (which is ideal for late game money grinding) has now been released to everyone.

Today is my hometown Surabaya's 727th anniversary on 31st May.
But we cannot celebrate with festivals due to Covid-19 pandemic.
Usually we have Street market festival, Food festival and Late night shopping.
@Heavyarms55
About Pokedex, honestly not every Pokemons i want to catch.
I only catch some of them with nice looking and great skills.
Complete Pokedex or not, i don't really care especially for some Event Pokemons that cannot be obtained when the event is over (Archeus Darkrai, etc).
Should i risk my life and wealth just only to catch them ?
Not worthy, i can find them in real appearance as toys or printable stuffs, that's already enough for me.
