@NEStalgia Now if only it'd happen! XD I intended the Nonspecific Action Figure mention to just be tongue-in-cheek; thinking about it now, I'd like to see that happen!
@NintendoByNature You'll have plenty of time to polish all your flamethrowers and bazookas for each reveal. Better work on that internet rage now!

Back in the mid 2000s Nintendo made some themed music albums as Nintendo Club rewards in Japan.
There were 3 albums in this set, the Luigi one being underrated tracks (B-sides), the Bowser one has the hardest rock tracks made by Nintendo, and the Peach one has relaxing tracks
Such as this beautiful rendition of a Wave Race theme.
Found out about these albums some years ago thanks to an old Nintendo magazine. Thanks old Nintendo magazine!
This blue eye perceives all things conjoined. The past, the future, and the present. Everything flows and all is connected. This eye is not merely seen reality. It is touching the truth. Open the eye of truth... There is nothing to fear.
Three of the new characters will be from LABO. Their only attacks will be to bore you with unskippable dialogue, preventing all hits until the dialogue is finished.
So sayeth Emily Khan.

@Tyranexx - Ugh, I used to get in vicious cycles of repeatedly zoning out in the same spot of one of his long winded soliloquies, only to come to and realize I’d been zoned out and just hitting the A button to some kind of rhythm to keep the story moving and start it all over again.
@bimmy-Lee duuuuuude... I had to tell you. Just went to a Brazilian steakhouse for dinner with my co-workers. I maxed out to the extreme..like over did it. Can barely move. Ugh man, bottom sirloin, ribeye, leg of lamb, and filet. I figured you'd like to hear about it since you appreciate good meals.
Good evening Chit-Chat thread. Stopping by tonight to see how everyone's doing? Also, really happy for Tokyo Mirage Sessions is coming out tomorrow. Suppose to be delivered, so hopefully I'll play it again tomorrow as I played this on Wii U.
The resident Trolls superfan! Saw Trolls Band Together via early access and absolutely loved it!
@NintendoByNature - Wow, nice, those are some choice cuts too, especially that ribeye. It’s an honor to be thought of in the “enjoys a good meal” category as well. As much as it suits my style, I don’t think I’ve ever been to a Brazilian steakhouse. There’s a newish one in town I’ve wanted to try. How does it work in your small company, does everyone go out for a dinner like that? I worked at a small place once, around 12-14 of us at any given time, and the Friday after work beer situation could sometimes get a tad awkward for a variety of reasons.
@bimmy-lee it was just 3 of us to celebrate the big job I got in 2019. So it was nice and quant.
The steak/ salad bar and sides are all unlimited. It's about 50 bucks a head, but it's all worth it and good cuts I assure you. It's a total buddies night kind of thing. You can take your wife if she likes that kind of thing, but it's fun to go out with buddies and endulge in endless amounts of meat. And let me tell you, it's non-stop. You really should try it.
A new Surcheros opened in town last week, and a friend treated me to it for helping her with some technical writing. I had beef nachos. Like, a huge plate of them. It was tasty.
So that’s my meal story.

@HobbitGamer ain't nothing wrong with a mound of nachos my friend. Im one of those oddballs who likes to microwave his nachos on occasion. But only around.....2am
I haven't had nachos in a long time. Mexican or Mexican-like cooking is one of the handful of foods you just can't find in most of Japan. I make my own tacos with seasonings and tortillas I can get from import stores or online sometimes, but I don't think I've seen the corn chips to make nachos.
The one Mexican restaurant I found in Kyoto had a whopping 4 choices on the menu.
I've had people be really surprised when I talk about eating non-Japanese food here. But what people tend not to get is that Japanese food in Japan is just food. It's default. I do like a lot of Japanese cooking, but after a while I want variety. Which is why I usually get go out to an Italian or American style restaurant about twice a month.

I'm pretty lucky that where I live in Korea has a nice variety of international food. I can get Japanese, Chinese (both Korean-style and authentic), Vietnamese, Thai, American, Mexican, Italian, etc. fairly easily. I actually really like Korean food, but I get tired of eating it all the time, so being able to mix it up is good.
I actually had something pretty interesting when I went to Okinawa. There is a popular fusion dish there called taco rice. Basically the American military brought the concept of tacos to Okinawa, and restaurants eventually started replacing the shells with a bed of white rice because it was easier to cook and more filling. This idea would have never crossed my mind, but man it was good!
@klingki Taco rice isn't limited to Okinawa either. Japan actually does have a decent variety of international food. It's just that Mexican isn't really on that list. Even in rural Shiga I can get Chinese, Korean, Indian, American, Italian, French, and even German pretty easily. If I go into the bigger cities like Kyoto or Osaka there's more options still.
But having grown up in Michigan in the US, with a sizable Mexican American population, I get a craving for that Mexican-American food every now and then.

@Heavyarms55 Totally get that. I'm from New York, so I know what you mean. I am incredibly lucky that a Mexican restaurant was opened on the 2nd floor of my apartment building, so I don't even need to go outside to get it!
Schmidt, @Heavyarms55 , you're a michgander? Family there & from there. Mom is from chelsea, dad is from Traverse City. You're probably from a different part. Up until 2016 i went to Traverse yearly. Fam in plymouth, ann arbor.
I'm down for some authentic Mexican food every now and again. There's a really good Mexican restaurant not far from my job that's reasonably priced (their lunch menu is anyway), has a ton of variety, and is easy to get in and out of in less than an hour.
Out of curiosity for those who live on other shores, how on-target is American food? How much of it is authentic and how much of it has a certain spin to the region it's served in?
@bimmy-lee I can see how someone could fall prey to that, particularly if its their fifty-third time through the game. I've only played the 3DS version and never had that issue. I don't recall if I just lucked out or if they fixed the placement of the cursor....
@Sunsy Enjoy TMS #FE! I picked up the Wii U version recently. Not sure when I'll get around to it just yet lol.

@Woomy_NNYes Yup, I even do the thing where I point out where I'm from on my hand like it's a map. I'm from Westland, Michigan originally. Which is in the "greater metro Detroit area". Went to university at Eastern Michigan in Ypsilanti, which is right next to Ann Arbor. I had family in Plymouth at one point, though most have dispersed around the US at this point.
Almost everyone on both my mother and father's sides of the family has left Michigan. I have 2 uncles and an Aunt plus one cousin and his family left in the state. But I only ever talk to the aunt. Everyone else in the family has spread way out, Florida, Arizona, California, I think I have a cousin in South Carolina now too. Course I moved the farthest, Japan. XD
I had a buddy who had a place in Traverse City. Still have a couple friends left in the state too, in some tiny rural town that I can't remember the name of. Most of my classmates from high school and university have left the state too actually.
