@Anti-Matter Maybe you can trade them all in for PS5, it's "supposed" to be backwards compatible with all of them. Though I'll believe it when I see it. I have a bunch of PS2 discs but no system to play them on - a PS1, two PS3 and a PS4 - so I've been paying attention. Oh and we have a PS TV, but it's only used for streaming the PS4 to my kids bedroom. And we rarely do it so it's basically just collecting dust.

Huh. I didn't know until recently some classic consoles actually displayed in an internal 8:7 aspect ratio. Some games had the graphics be, let's say, "squished" to look normal when stretched to 4:3 while others did not. Interesting stuff

@rjejr PS5 is stated to be BC with PS4, but I do not believe they've said anything so far about prior PS consoles. I could have missed it, however, because Sony as not deigned to descend upon me and doeth refrain to bathe me wi'in thou enlightening gaze and doeth not will to bestow upon such lowly and unfaithful unbelievers the knowledge and the enlightenment of PR upon it's Greatness hath been Awaited to the unloyal which do falter in Awaiting the Greatness hence promised by only watching shows that every OTHER company attendeth.

The Smash reveal was strange, but it’s also a little strange to get too upset about it at this point. Nobody is going to learn how to use 80+ characters competently, unless you devote your game time to Smash exclusively. That game already has so much nobody will get a chance to see.

@Tyranexx oh for sure. I'm getting quite tired of the hostility honestly. I mean.....everyone is so dang mad you'd think someone killed someone's pet. Do I get discouraged when something I'm passionate isn't the way I'd like it to be? Yes. Do I have the most angry rant blasting people? Not at all.

Granted, the character reveal is pretty lame....It's kind of Super Smash Emblem these days with the sheer number of FE characters that were otherwise minor until Smash, ironically made them major. So I can understand it feels like getting nothing really for the money. But dang, that thread....

OTOH look on the bright side. At least the commends didn't degenerate into political correctness discussions of actors the formerly voiced the character. We're making progress!

If anything though the experience should be another reminder why lootboxes and preorders are bad ideas....

I didn't like that direct. Looks like Emily rogers saying the first half of the year being barren is right. And likeIhave said elsewhere I have had enough of the switch, too restrictive on what you can and can't do.

@NintendoByNature While I understand the side of the fence that's complaining, I also think getting too bent out of shape about it is a waste of energy. Obviously Byleth is already in at this point, plus future fighters are confirmed.

I'll be waiting by the sign marked "Switzerland" until that debate cools down....

@DannyBoi There wasn't a Direct, it was just a Smash presentation (and the Pokemon presentation the other day.) Barren, maybe, since there indeed isn't a Direct, but hard to go by what we haven't seen.

@Tyranexx Though I have to side with the cynics: 6 more fighters! Dorothea, Tiki, Ferdinand, Tharja, Nathan Drake, aaaand Takumi.

@NEStalgia yep, I never like preordering anything unless I'm 100% certain it's for me. Plus usually when i preorder it's on Amazon and if I don't like something before launch, I can cancel it with no issues or repercussions. That said, I almost preordered dmc3 today 😂. I'm wishy washy for sure lol.
@Tyranexx well said.. both sides have a point, to a degree. And like you said, 6 more fighters are on the horizon. Here's hoping 1 is Mike Jones( not the rapper, although I do like his stuff 😉). A yoyo would be a sweet weapon in smash. And maybe with SoR4 on the dockett, maybe Axel?

Also, before the final reveal of Takumi NL will run a poll asking everyone if they think it's Camilla with the tagline "What do you think of this character for the game for good boys and girls of all ages? Comment below!" Just to give us another chance to warm up the Labo flame throwers.

@ThanosReXXX - You’re right, I was way off in my description. It’s as if I was mesmerized. It’s a striped shirt and a polka dot bow, which can only mean one thing... she’s definitely live action Minnie!

@Anti-Matter - Looks great. That’s a fun project for the students. They’re basically learning print production at every level from design and layout, to print, paginate, and bind. It’s cool that you can get it printed cheaply on nice materials and incorporate it into learning. Well done.
