@NintendoByNature - Haha, could be either of those things. Maybe she wants to try and walk on to the reindeer team for a try out. Looks like I missed some good Christmas Eve dinner talk. For years my parents did seafood, usually crab legs and mussels, but they’ve gone a bit more traditional since grandkids started showing up. I think they’re doing a pork roast and a ham this year with tons of sides. My mom makes a mean chipped beef cheeseball, and homemade Chex mix as snacks, and I always get gross with them.
@Tyranexx - Big, skittish animals make me nervous. I was afraid a twig would snap behind her, and she’d go on a fear rampage and break right through my old, rotten fence. I’m never comfortable around horses for this reason. To me, they always seem like they’re a weird noise, or a sudden movement away from trampling someone.
@HobbitGamer - Not sure if this changes your theories, but I’m in tight with the chipmonks, and their speed style woodland karate keeps the Templar squirrels outside my fence and out of my business.
Of course, Christmas becomes a bit less fun when you’re basically buying your own gifts. But at least you know what you want.
Every year my uncle would buy me the same oversized (XXL) sweater for Christmas. Pretending to smile was tough. When I told him I was a medium, he bought the same XXL again next year 😂
@bimmy-lee yea dude, I'm all about the dinner talk. You know this😅. You always teach me a new dish...this time it's chipped beef cheese ball. Please explain what this ball consists of....aside from cheese and beef
@NotTelevision there's only one way to solve that issue, tell him you're a XXL @hobbitgamer how could I overlook that? Of course there's paint chips in it. Nothing says chrismtas like a case of a bathroom visit from our dear old pal, Behr the friendly paint can
@NintendoByNature - Everything Hobbit said, plus chipped beef, cream cheese, finely chopped green onion, worchestershire sauce, a little garlic and onion powder, form it into a ball, let it sit in the fridge over night, then serve it with chicken in a biscuit crackers. Simple, yet outrageous. I usually eat half the ball.
@bimmy-lee Yep, you learn to be a little careful around the larger animals that may or may not trample you. We never had horses but did have cattle. Most of the older cows were patient old hacks that didn't scare easily, but you had to watch the younger bovines as well as the harem leader.
Thankfully the worst I've ever had happen is getting stepped on by a medium-sized pig. Dad has had to contend with a broken collar bone.
As of this writing, the largest thing I've ever hit with a vehicle is a fox. I've had more than one close call with a deer, but I haven't hit one yet.
Currently playing: Pokemon Scarlet DLC, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury (Switch)
@BlueBlur101 I’ll get around to seeing it. The Force Awakens was alright for a reboot and had its moments.
My main issue with the The Last Jedi was they dragged out that whole “master teaches apprentice”, “don’t get lured into the dark side” from Empire Strikes Back. I also don’t think a jaded old Luke Skywalker served as a fitting substitute for puppet Yoda, who was such a charming character and brought much needed levity to the scenes and it didn’t seem bogged down in self seriousness like TLJ.
I can’t even recall many memorable characters from the recent movies, but maybe that’s perhaps because I’ve only seen them once.
@bimmy-lee sweet deal. I Make a cheese ball every now and then with shredded cheese, cream cheese, roasted red pepper, and garlic powder, but never thought of adding beef. Maybe I'll try it. @NotTelevision finished king of cards just a few min ago. Not as good as spectre or shovel of hope, but better than plague imo. It was actually ALOT harder, at least for me. Took me a good 30-45 min on the final boss.
@NintendoByNature Cool. I already purchased Treasure Trove on the Switch. I’m going play through all the campaigns, including the original again.
I guess they wanted to end series with a bang on that final boss. I actually like the difficulty increasing with DLC content, but it can get frustrating sometimes.
@NotTelevision for sure. I feel like from start to finish it was harder than the others, and plague was just hard because of the controls.
Side note: axiom verge is on sale and I've toyed with buying it over the last couple of years every time it's been on sale. what's the difficulty like with regards to exploration and enemies? Is it pretty frustrating or actually fun? I struggle with alot of metroidvanias but did alright with a few of them..I'm not just asking @NotTelevision but any of you guys and gals. Let me know please. It's only $8 which is the lowest I've seen but I'm concerned ill be wandering aimlessly for hours on end.
@NintendoByNature Good purchase. It feels basically like a 16-bit Metroid, in almost everything but name. I’ll admit to getting lost a bit early on, but you’ll find your way eventually.
