@ThanosReXXX - I finally saw your spooky Halloween trick. I kinda of fell in love with all 14 seconds of the Victorian bridesmaid if I’m being honest. Thanks for the scare. Hope you had a great Hallow’s EveXXX. I had a lot of fun with my family, even if the weather was atrocious, and I had a nice exercise in pushing my patience to the absolute apex right here in this very thread. Cheers! Now for some spooky Luigi’s Mansion. It’s my first foray.

Happy Halloween everyone. It's a fittingly stormy and gloomy night, and I've been coughing for about three days. So it really feels like Halloween.

Did I miss anything interesting?

@ThanosReXXX - Yeah, it worked out really well for me. I watched a spooky video, and a Nigerian prince deposited a lot of money in my savings account. Win/win!

Last night, it was soooo cold for handing out candy, so only about 35 kids came to my door. sad compared to the 100 or so kids I got last year.

@bimmy-lee Coincidentally, I just had to take mandatory training for state employees regarding phishing and ransomware emails. One of the examples of phishing had a company called Dingo Bank. I told my friend (who was completing hers at the same time) that if you get successfully phished by Dingo Bank, they'll take your baby.

@HobbitGamer - Haha, that’s amazing. I think you probably should give up a baby if you get got by Dingo Bank. It’ll be in better hands at that point. My grandma is rummaging around in her purse right now, looking for a credit card or a blank check for Dingo Bank. You can deposit cash at Dingo Bank, but you can only withdraw previously buried rabbit and rodent carcasses, and old bones.

Halloween was remarkably brief. I guess that's what happens when trick or treating in tropical storm-like conditions. There were like 5 groups of 5 kids and that was that. I never got around to opening Gooigi though...

@ThanosReXXX I actually tried to give it a try, but for some reason it wasn't loading and I never really went back to it.

Also, why is a comic book mad titan using a gothic font?

Concerning the font type: simply because I already spent almost an hour looking for an appropriate "Thanos" font, so I didn't want to waste any more of my evening than I already had, and I also wanted it to be a bit in character with Halloween, so I ended up using that one, because I've no idea what the "ancient" or "Titan speak" font is, that was used in some comics, when he speaks. And besides, most of the time, they simply use normal fonts anyways, so I'd say this one was good enough for the purpose it needed to serve...

@NEStalgia By the way: it's not a gothic font: it's a horror font called "Lycanthrope", aka werewolf...

Makes sense, tnough nothing about that font makes me think "werewolves", it feels more gothic/victorian cemetery. It could pass for vampire. But whoever named it for werewolves ate too few Smarties from their trick-or-treat bag....

@NEStalgia they named it Lycanthrope, not werewolf. That's just the meaning of the word. And it's basically just bloody letters with fangs, so it could have been vampire as well, but they chose (to name it after) the other fanged horrors...

As for that video: very strange, since it's just a regular, bog-standard mp4 file.

I want a font called "misanthrope"

Werewolves are sooooo much cooler than vampires. I’ve always thought this, and there’s no way I can be convinced otherwise. I have dreams where I can run super fast on all fours. If I admitted to this in the olden days, I’d be quartered, and all my parts would be buried in different places. Thank goodness we live in a woke society now.

Vampires can fly, wolves can’t. Nuff said.

Should’ve used Comic Sans in keeping with the comic idea.

@HobbitGamer The idea was to be in keeping with Halloween, NOT with the comics. And besides, there have been series in the comics involving Thanos, in which they used some kind of font where the letters looked old, and bigger, to more accurately represent his ominous presence and booming voice, and that was what I was initially looking for.

But ultimately, I got tired of sifting through thousands of free fonts, all because I wanted to join in the Halloween fun a little. And that was only for you people, because over here, we don't do all that much about Halloween, so we had no real festivities on the streets here.

As you can see, I've left my search parameters intact, so you can see how I ended up getting that particular one.

EDIT:
Initially, I wanted to use the "Straight to Hell" font, but ultimately, it didn't seem "Thanos" enough, let alone representing a Halloween feel.
