Not sure if I'm a fan of cutscene mechanics being a thing in fighting game specials these days. Game looks gorgeous and should be a boost to the capcom side of the fgc which is wanning a bit. Hopefully my girl Viper makes the rostor this time around.
I bet we see Pokken Tournament announced at the digital event and KI season 3 at Microsoft's show.
I'm hesitant on Street Fighter V, still. I want it to be good, though, but we'll probably have to wait for a some sort of updated version, knowing fighting games in general...
A WW2 shooter from Japan's side could be interesting. Has that ever been done before, in COD or whatever?
no for the same reason ww2 shooters from the german side are pretty rare
despite the crimes that they did, losing isnt really fun in a game.
however a shooter based on the spanish civil war would be cool. too bad the good guys lost :/
but i would have a LOT of ideas for such a game.
Yet we continuously get maffia and other heinous criminals as the main stars of videogames(and on TV/movies)... It has been done in flight sims though.

SFV just gets better and better honestly. I did not care at all when it was announced, but each new piece of news makes it sound more promising. Games looking faster now and the new mechanics sounds great. Honestly, probably not intentional but I'm seeing a lot if inspiration from KI. Bison's trigger or whatever is the exactly ripped from Chief Thunder's instinct.
I'd be surprised if we get many big Wii U announcements to be honest - I think we'll get release dates for all of their upcoming titles, excluding Zelda, and there'll be a heavy focus on DLC for Mario Kart and Smash. We may see a couple of HD remasters, but with Nintendo already acknowledging NX, they've already killed any chance of increasing their Wii U install base (it's not enough to pander to current Wii U owners). That sounds so cynical, but realistic, I think. It would be more sensible to cut their losses and focus their resources on NX.
Having said that, a new Animal Crossing is pretty likely.

OK, peak years or not, it has still yet to sell 10 million units. That's less than half of Gamecube, which was considered by many to be a commercial failure, and only just above Dreamcast. Don't get me wrong, I love my Wii U, and I want it to succeed, but come on, let's be realistic...

Not to get political, but I wouldn't put Nazis alongside Japanese during WW2, it's not really the same level of depravity.
But fair point. It would probably have to be an "alternate reality" or something with aliens and whatever. I doubt Nintendo would get political either.
Although playing games where you know the ending is actually kind of cool. Halo Reach and FF7 Crisis Core are good examples!

Wii U is making a profit for Nintendo and Iwata has said there are still unannounced Wii U games!!! Jeez, man.
People are saying it's a bad move by Nintendo to already reveal their next console and declare the WiiU dead and it should've had at least a few more years and so on..
Watch if the NX is revealed to be the next handheld, people will get outraged, saying it's a mistake that the NX isn't the next console and that the WiiU is a failure and they should kill it off already.
