Interesting thing I noticed. As far as 1st party offerings go, the Wii U doesn't currently have any Adventure or RPG games. And the only 1st Party game with a heavy exploration focus is Pikmin 3 (WWHD doesn't count).
Among what's coming out in the near future, it's just XCX.
So as far as the new Wii U games we see, we might see a skew towards those types of games. Paper Mario, Metroid, a true 3D platformer, etc.
I certainly hope so. These are the kinds of games I've wanted to see on the Wii U this entire generation and there's been a noticeable lack of those games. They really have not been kind to exploration fans this gen, Metroid's been on the backburner for 5 years and Mario has been reduced to a linear nostalgia fest.

Most of these are just ports and sequels to games we've already seen this gen, I can't imagine many people being pleased with a lineup that's 95% more of the same. This lineup really needs a Paper Mario or Metroid or new IP or something that we haven't seen already this gen.

It's only not exciting for those who have both a Wii U and 3DS. I think the "things you never even thought of wanting" refers to 3DS ports of Wii U games and vice versa if Hyrule Warriors 3DS is just a port. Also I think the major backlash from Sticker Star and Other M throws out the opportunity of new Paper Mario and Metroid.

Although it's missing Pokemon on Wii U, I would like a real Pokemon game on the home console finally!

I think he was more pointing towards licensing deals like the Universal deal that would provide exposure for Nintendo's IPs outside of gaming (and he never mentioned Wii U).

I had a dream, that I had a dream that Kirby: City Trial was announced during the Digital Event. Then I woke up, and kept watching the Digital Event, but I was really disappointed that the Kirby Air Ride announcement was a dream. They announced Pokemon Tennis, (Which strangely, was a crossover with Mario Tennis) among other games, but that's all I remember.

An exclusive COD would be awesome. I actually think it could do very well sales wise. Maybe even a million sales of done right, but we cant even get a sport game port. Even though it's not the first time a rumor like this has appeared for Nintendo and COD.

I don't think Nintendo would have to pay too much. With Nintendo pushing the game and with the name of COD, it would sell pretty good on it's own. Probably the biggest reason COD didn't do well on WiiU is most people would rather buy it on one of their other consoles/PC. If they make an exclusive COD game, that wouldn't be a factor anymore.
