So Shenmue III just hit its funding goal. $2,000,000 USD in approx. 8 hours and 43 minutes. Unreal. It took Bloodstained double that to make half as much.

So Anakin kneels before Monster Mash and pledges his loyalty to the graveyard smash.

Unless Nintendo has something truly amazing in store for the Direct, Sony won E3. The Last Guardian, FF7, Enslaved 2 aka Horizon... That's gonna be freaking TOUGH to beat!

Well it is shenmue. I loathe kickstarter and I'd toss some money that way if it meant that game is getting created.

E3 so far had exactly one surprise for me: Shenmue 3.
And no, the game itself isnt all that surprising, the surprise was, that Kickstarter Campaigns are now part of E3 press conferences.
If they know that the game has such a gigantic fanbase, is so heavily demanded...why arent they funding it themselfes ?
I mean at this point, its rather obvious that it will generate enough income.
Making a Kickstarter out of it is just a rip-off in my opinion.

Everything else so far has been rather meh.

Fallout 4 looks like a generic shooter, the FF7 remake makes me uneasy untill i see the battle system, Doom looks rather bland.

So far, nothing all that special or remotely interesting, at least for me.

My highlight so far: Earthbound Beginnings, as stupid as it may sound. But im pretty sure that will change in a couple of hours

A) Its a DigitalEvent, no a direct B) Nintendo is really unpredictable as you might of heard 12345 times but it dosent mean they will full on win i'm saying they MIGHT have a trick up their sleeve. who knows?

To be honest my highlight of E3 so far was the Splatoon segment of the Nintendo World Championships. Even though I own Splatoon I haven't played it since the last testfire demo firstly due to exams and then other games got in the way so it was nice seeing it again. Speaking of which, Nintendo have confirmed 2 weapons coming tomorrow: https://twitter.com/NintendoUK/status/610706314159857664

i Have say Microsoft and Sony did pretty good
if i had rate all of them...
Microsoft - A+ (the Backwards Comparability, them getting former Metroid Prime creators working on a game, and Rare's game was pretty cool too, that pretty hit me of getting an Xbox One)
Sony - A(Pretty good, although im quite surprised they didn't announced Backwards Comparability for PS-PS3 games, there games where pretty awesome)
Bethesda - A(love all of the games they announced excited to get Fallout and Doom!)
Ubisoft - C (it was meh, none of the games wow me)
EA -F (it was really boring! although Star Wars Battlefront, Star Wars MMO's Expansion Pack, and that yarn game, where what made the show the best, and Dead Space. but i don't know much about that game)
and then there Square Enix and Nintendo which I'll grade them once there E3 is over

overall i'm still excited for Nintendo's and Square Enix's E3, even if there where not best

Anybody else still not convinced in getting a PS4 or even the XBOX one?

To be honest, PS4 looks very tempting, I'll probably wait for a price drop, because it's not worth the €400 it is now. But with games like The Last Guardian, Horizon (which looked pretty neat), Tearaway (I don't own a Vita, so I never got to play this game). Even that Final Fantasy World game, I'd like to see more of that as well.

@Einherjar Most of the revealed games (Lost Guardian, Shunmue 3, FFVII) are games that really only have great significance to people who have an attachment to the game's series. So, I can see why people didn't really care about it. Although I feel like some of the revealed games, especially Lost Guardian (although I do love Shadow of Colossus), should have long since been done.

I was watching a stream of the conference, and a large portion of the people there weren't really impressed by (or didn't even know about) the FFVII remake or Shenmue 3. It kind of surprised me, but put my view on the games in a larger perspective.

I think everyone should be excited for Shenmue III, even if you're not interested in the game and don't plan to buy it. This is a series that abruptly ended on a cliffhanger 14 years ago and nobody had any confidence that the story would ever be finished. It's also a big deal because this is the first time we're seeing a sequel to AAA games get crowdfunded. Tremendous costs and licensing complications have proven no barrier to this game getting made.

It sets precedent. What's next?

So Anakin kneels before Monster Mash and pledges his loyalty to the graveyard smash.

Do you guys think Nintendo will have a private showing or two this week, like how they did with Codename Steam last year? I hope so. And I hope the reveal something new if they do it.

So pretty much like Fire Emblem in the west then? The good ending of FE7 ends on a cliffhanger which leads into the Japan exclusive Binding Blade (FE6).

I'd have to say Somy has had the best press conference not e3. With Nintendo today they have a strong chance for overall with the digital event, treehouse streams, and the world championships. Seriously, what other company is going to do that.

StarTropics 3 would top all of that no question.

In all honesty, none of the above outside of Shenmue III(then again...) even come close to the excitement that I'd personally have towards a new punch-Out!!, kid Icarus, Super Mario, Mega Man, or Metroid game ect ect.

At this point, as far as PS4 goes....The only upcoming game that I'm truly excited to get a glimpse of is Resident Evil 7

A cool as hell Metroid game would do it for me, probably. Another Zelda reveal. Gamecube Virtual Console. More Xenoblade and Fire Emblem x Persona info. There are ways they can make a cool DIGITAL EVENT, but will it reach the heights of FF7 and TLG? We'll see!

Fire Emblem is not a dead IP owned by a company that doesn't want it anymore. There is a game out this week in Japan.
