Summer Wars was absolutely amazing. It made me so nostalgic for the Digimon movie.

I finally finished my '80s OVA marathon, knicking 10 series off my "to watch" list. I had to do some subbing, sure, but in the end it was worth it. Now I need to prepare for my '90s OVA Marathon next month.

Yeah, I just found out how similar it is to that movie. Almost makes me want to see it, but I just watched Digimon instead.

It's directed by the same guy. You HAVE to watch it. The whole thing was like him saying, "Hey, remember all of this? Watch as I do it bigger and better". It was brilliant.

So, any good anime out currently? Nothing has caught my interest for a few years.

I haven't watched much modern anime, mostly sticking with older works (for instance, I'm rewatching Gundam Wing for the zillionth time). The only recent works I can think of that are good are Gundam 00, Star Driver, Magical Girl Madoka Magica, and Panty & Stocking (it's exactly what it sounds like). If you mean new on DVD, the Eden of the East might just catch your interest.

The Far East of Eden is awesome! I need to buy the full set....

I've already watched Eden of the East actually, I just forgot about it. Great show. I heard from a friend that Gundam 00 is really good but I've never been that interested in Gundam. The new direction the show is taking does sound more interesting to me though.

I've watched about the first ten episodes, but so far I must say it hasn't been very exciting. There just seems to be something lacking, but I can't put my finger on it. Might be worth it eventually, but Code Geass is still much better so far

Gundam 00 takes a while to get going, as do a lot of Gundam shows. The first season gets really good by the latter third, and the second seasons starts strong and ends stronger.

^Let me know how Rebuild is when you get around to it. The trailer kicked loads of arse.

Just finished rewatching Mobile Suit Gundam Wing, and I must say it's one helluva show. Sure, the story's a bit fantastical and preachy for a Gundam show, and the characters are...insane, and it misses a LOT of small, and occasionally big, details it's still very enjoyable to watch, especially for the action sequences, and the story was mostly compelling throughout.

Rebuild 1 was good but its practically the same as Eva ~1-5. I'm pretty sure I read Rebuild 2 (6-10) is too and then 3 is where the new ending will be laid out. And then Rebuild 4 will comealong and ruin everything like every other Eva ending .

^I minded it a lot, as I believe I've mentioned. Hell, End of Eva almost killed the series for me, so I sincerly hope Rebuilds 3 and 4 do a better job of ending it. I'll still be looking forward to Rebuilds 1 and 2, of course. Oh, and thanks for your response. I'll at least hold off getting Rebuild 1.11 until its cheaper, because a rehash isn't worth paying full price for. Maybe once Rebuild 2 comes out I'll get both?

Just finished Endless Waltz. I felt it was a fitting epilogue to Gundam Wing. It's pretty much more of what you'd expect, albeit with more flair. The ending in particular made things worth it, as it was more conclusive and let us know what happened to the pilots after the war.

Well since this is an anime thread I guess I'll spread the love!

How many times have you Naruto and Bleach and wished that you could take part in some of the great Ninja action?

Well now you can. While I was over on DDTank I decided to take a look on google at some of the other things that were being created by the publisher and I found something really good.

It's called Pockie Ninja!
