@EaglyBird for the ads, I don't think there is a concept of "family-friendly" ads (we report on 18+ games for instance), but I kind of get what you perhaps mean... if you see any ads that you feel are inappropriate for our audience then please send screenshots to me directly (anthony [at] nintendolife.com) and I can report them to our ads team.

As for cloudflare, nah, just been fiddling with some of the new the security settings, it's unlikely you'll see the challenge screens again.

I have a suggestion. What if the quote button automatically removed nested quotes? Perhaps only allow one or two tiers of quotes and remove the rest.

It would help keep the site more readable on phones when there’s long chains of quotes.

@BobTheBunkerGuy well I did say “quote button”. Writing the nested quotes manually would still be an option for anyone seeking to build a pyramid 😉

Would it be possible to implement a means to modify your response to a poll?

I was reading the Time Extension article "Will hand-drawn pixel art still be viable in ten years time?"

I answered "Yes" to the poll in the article, thinking the response would be "Yes, pixel art will be viable in the future", but the poll actually asked the inverse: "Do you think there will be a time when hand-drawn 2D art ceases to be viable for video games?"

I suppose that's also just a general criticism of how the poll was phrased versus the article headline, but as a result it put me in a situation where I want to correct the response that I gave because I accidentally gave the incorrect response.

@Eel do you have any good example threads/posts that this is an issue?

@RupeeClock interesting idea, I guess it should allow people to change their vote if they want, I've made a note to add that in a future update. Thanks!

@RupeeClock Bwah ha ha, I just did exactly the same thing without reading the question properly.

@antdickens it can become a problem in general discussion threads where people quote each other back to back, specially on mobile phones where you don’t really need many nested quotes to make them unreadable. Example: the chit chat thread.

Sometimes people also do it on purpose as a meme.

@Eel yeah, but ideally I'd have an example — just looked at the last 10-15 pages on chit-chat and didn't see any examples that were bad. Do you have any specific ones?

@antdickens I agree with @Eel about the nesting. Also the Chit-Chat Thread is really dynamic and pages move fast.

Sorry we messed with your experience @Eel I apologize on behalf of everyone involved. And I also apologize to everyone it annoyed, I looked back and woomy got annoyed by it, and stopped using the thread because of that, I missed it at the time because of how slow my page was going.

But boy do I love this change, it works so nicely and as someone who also look on Mobile the quotes do start to slow the page down for me, and it makes it harder to navigate it, it’s usually why I don’t read back, but with this change it should be much easier now! Thanks @antdickens

@antdickens ok that’s seriously cool. Not only is the layout better even with all the tiers expanded, but the option to see them step by step is just neat.

I’d like for there to be a forum category similar to “Game Developers” where smaller indie game developers and/or anyone actively making games can ask for feedback on their projects.

As a wannabe indie developer who resides on itch myself, I wish I could ask for feedback somehow on this site without coming off as “advertising”

@DiamondCore Actually I have made such a thread for the game I am making here in the forums. But before that I have asked the owner/founder of the site for permission.

After assuring them that I do not monetize or advertise anything I was given the green light.

When creating the thread I had to tag Ant so everything is in order
