Makes me wonder if they'll release an actual pokemon game on the 3DS with polygonal graphics.
It doesn't need to be a third version.... a pokemon colosseum-style game would be great too.
Though finally seeing 3D pokemon on a portable is very promising.

At least they finally created some new polygon models, which aren't toys or an upgrade from the Stadium games.

They had to create new models for new pokemon.
They will still use their old models for older pokemon. Like they always do.

Least it shows that the Pokémon have self-shadowing

Models look really nice.

maybe after you collect all the unova pokemon you unlock the national dex lol

Why lie? I'm a Nintendo fanboy.
I prefer jumping on my enemies rather than shooting at them.

I'm keeping my eyes more on Serebii again as this thing is coming, they have some good information and also update picture section as soon as they see new pictures, there's a picture of Pokéball AR card:
http://www.serebii.net/pokedex3d/pics.shtml
And also more information about AR thing, you can activate attacks in AR mode by pressing A button, so it throws an apple to the Pokémon (like in Pokémon Snap?) I'd like to know if they have their battle-animations from B&W or some other animations as it looks like that in one picture Tepig is on the ground and on another it's jumping while looking dex info.

It's its, not it's.

Never played a pokemon game, but this seems pretty cool.

I think these 3D graphics will be used for another Pokemon Stadium-type game in the future. Hopefully with more stuff in it than PBR.

I don't think that is a Pokeball AR card. It just a graphic overlay that is blocking from our eyes the fact that there is an AR card there. Probably to highten the sense that the Pokemon is really there. I always find it annoying having the AR card visibly present in a picture.

I'm fairly sure that it's actually one of those 'AR Markers' that you can scan to add a Pokemon to the Pokedex. If you look at the bottom screen of these three screenshots you can see a grid with a pattern on the left hand side. I'm pretty sure that's the code for that specific Pokemon, and as well as scanning them to add the Pokemon to the Pokedex you also use them to make them appear in Augmented Reality. If you look at the cards in the pictures, they're more square than a normal AR card.

I'm still saying that they're AR cards
From Serebii's front page: Some more pre-release images have come out for the upcoming Pokémon game; Pokédex 3D. These images have a focus upon the Augmented Reality aspect and show the special cards used to bring out the Pokémon. It shows that you need a new Augmented Reality card, different from those provided with system to bring it out. The images also seem to show that slightly different patterns are on the cards for different Pokémon. We'll know more when the game is released next week.

You can clearly see when the card is on someone's hand and few of pictures also shows that they look like being printed to normal paper as the cards have some folds.

EDIT: I forgot to say that I haven't yet seen any fake-information on Serebii's front-page for these few years I have used it to get new information about Pokémon.

I was about to say, its the markers...who took pictures anyways? How do you make the Pokemon big or "life-size"? xD
was thinking of taking a picture of myself with some favorites.

(doubt it, but wish they would update it at some point in time...with the rest. :3

So I got this, read the manual, and still non the wiser how the heck it works. Anyone care to explain for me. Not played Pokemon since blue on GB colour. Why are there so many silouettes when I scan those Tetris shape things? PS I know this isn't a game as such, but the collector in me wants to catch em all.
