if i didn't get this game at launch I'd have some really upset kids. I have the steelbook pre-ordered and I'm going to buy a pre-sell copy of Sun & Moon either this month or next, so two of them are already paid for.
I like the design of Team Skull and I, too, hope they aren't trying to take over the world by using legendaries. I hope they are just trying to steal Pokes and mess up the Island trials. I, especially, like Plumeria. She looks really cool and bada**.
When Minior used what I assume to be Ancient Power in the latest trailer, one of the rocks contained a Helix Fossil, while the other three contained "fossils" we've never seen before. It might just be random, or those other fossils could be the fossils of this generation. The problem is that there are three fossils, and I see two possible outcomes if these rock are in fact fossils of this gen. The fossils look like a feather, ribs and a shell.
1: We get three fossil Pokémon. One bird, one land creature and one shellfish.
2: We only get two fossil Pokémon and the feather is a reference to "Bird Jesus". They already acknowledged the almighty Helix and Bird Jesus in ORAS, so they might continue this gen.
@AlliMeadow I hadn't even thought of fossil pokemon yet. However I did notice ancient power and I must say (again and again): they actually tried with the attack animations this time. The effects from XY to SM are like Monster Hunter 4 to Generations—a crazy leap!
So Morimoto will be showing some Sun/Moon gameplay footage on stage at Gamescom on Thursday. Wonder if there will be any new info there.
There's also Worlds over the weekend, which is a bit of a sore subject for a lot of Pokemon fans this year thanks to some really poor planning on TPC's part (they're usually pretty good when it comes to that too). Anyways, there's a fairly decent chance they could reveal something there during either the opening or closing ceremony.
Kinda worried team skull won't be that threatening, or as bland and team flare. Team Plasma were some of the best villains ever. Also this probably isn't the place to ask, but if anyone in the UK/EU happens to have a spare shiny Yvetal code is it possible they could kindly give me one, if there's a thread I'm supposed to ask that let me know

It would be very refreshing to have an evil gang that doesn't want world domination or the total destruction of everything alive. It's been like... 3 generations in a row like that already.
Just having a bunch of misguided teens being mischievous because they feel left out has a world of possibilities.
Every evil team is full of goofballs anyway, so let's have a team that has embraced that part of them.
Well, the trailers imply that the island leaders are chosen by the island's deity Pokemon. And Guzma seems to be mad because he was rejected as trial master.
Maybe that could be their late-game goal, force lunala/solgaleo into choosing them as island leaders.
I would prefer that Team Skull act as some sort of Mob gang, doing awful stuff in the shadows but remaining untouchable and in the good light of the public. It's obvious that's not what we're getting though.
I hope that they're at least a little bit sneaky and a powerful force to fight against. I also think it'd be interesting to have them (rather than being all set on brute force world domination) focused on taking things on from within the system, bribing cops, things like that. Not to rule the world of course, but rather to have control of certain strings whenever they want it. Instead of having them bent on ruling and conquering, have their focus be on harming the reputations, positions, and work lives of characters. It's interesting to think that we haven't had a group that has the main goal of getting revenge on people who did them wrong, using their own twisted sense of hard work and determination to get the job done (rather than trying to get McGuffin Legendaries like every other evil team). Guzma seems to be going in that direction.
