Well, at least it's Dark type, which means it should be easily levelled up on Victini, next Saturday. I caught Lugia, but it wiped me completely out money-wise. I've got four days now, to get as many S ranks as possible, before I move onto Emboar and the competition. Barring any weird new pokes, both my Fighting and Fairy teams are pretty high levels, so, hopefully I won't have to grind...
Anyone have any S ranking tips for Timburr, Snorlax, Conkeldurr,, Excadrill, or Gothorita, bearing in mind I have access to nearly every pokemon and mega?
Hey all, Im kinda new to the game (late to the party XD) but I made some progress. now I got to lvl 90- mega mawile- and Im stuck XD what should I do? decide on a team and grind levels or wait for some daily coins to buy for extra moves and mega start? any overall tips for this lvl? thanks =]
@VoltageX Mega Mawile's an annoyance. If you're on 3DS, I'd advise catching Lucario (from the Expert Stages) and any other strong Fire/Fighting types available, then grinding Meowth for coins. Check the previous few pages for tips on that. If you're on Mobile, then use the code for Lucarionite (available on Serebii - good site to check for new information), catch Lucario, then re-attempt. Combusken, Lucario, Hawlucha, and Charmeleon would be a good team to use here. Buy a Mega Start if on Mobile, or a Disruption Delay on 3DS. Use a Complexity -1 ONLY if you need it. It's a lot of coins. If there's anything else you need to know, don't be afraid to ask.
Oh, and S Ranking stages is achieved by having over half the number of moves for the stage remaining (With a few exceptions). (So like Meowth, which has 8 Moves allocated, S rank would be 4 or more moves left when you beat it.) Moves +5 count as additional moves, so you'd still only have to do it with 4 moves remaining. I wouldn't bother focusing on S Ranks until you're further on like about stage 150, and have different typed megas available to you. You may also struggle with Mega Glalie and Mega Gengar. Those two generally are considered two of the worst stages.

I did the lucario stage but couldnt catch it, guess ill have to catch it again. about the mega- is mega sabelye a good option if I have to choose between him, audino, luppony and kanghaskan?

Really, Sableye's your only option for a mega, if you want one. Mawile's resistant to every other Mega up to this point. You may also want to catch it, because then you can use Mega Mawile against Glalie, which isn't the next boss, but the one after that. Contrary to what people say, I don't think Gengar is as hard as Mawile or Glalie, with the right amount of preparation. Keep trying with Lucario. Mega Slowbro will help here,
Anyone else find Emboar far too easy? Now i missed catching him my first shot but i figured i would have to spend coins to get him but that's not even close to the case.

Yeah, I easily beat him but missed him first try. Then I just switched one of Pokemon to that one that he uses in his stage and beat him even easier and caught him second try.
So I've been messing around with the Android version of this. My impressions so far.
First is obviously it looks better. Set up is holding the phone normally not sideways. What's odd and I don't like is the app doesn't keep the phone on all the time like most games. It time outs at my normal 30 seconds I have set on my phone. If I'm taking a bit longer to study a move it's annoying when it time outs just before I make a move. Also it hasn't removed all the Japanese from their version which is kinda odd. It seems like they translated 85% of it but left some odd stuff in there for Japan.
Second is the shop you actually get more for your gems or money purchase. 6 hearts as oppose to 5 for a gem. 4000 coins for a gem and so on. That's about the only advantage though as it seem most of the rest of the game wants your money and that is obvious considering the format.
Third it seems like special pokemon events take 2 hearts to play. For instance Kyogre is currently available but at a 2 heart expense. Not liking that. You also after the first set of pokemon get only 100 coins for beating a stage for the first time. The first 9 pokemon were 300 but then they got stingy.
Lastly are you special items to use on the stages. They're all more coins to use. For example complexity -1 is 9500 coins to use and with coins so hard to come by that's a lot more to have to deal with. I am already in about 15 hours up to stage 25 with all but one stage S ranked and everyone caught to this point. There's even a good early on stage to level in as well.
Overall not as friendly as the 3ds version but we all knew that but if I don't have my system with me this will do for a few minutes here and there.

Got to the Meowth stage and was trying to farm a bit and it was a harder stage then i thought. Lost the first few times as i didn't get enough damage. So instead i just went for the win and still took me like 3 tries. After beating it i wanted to farm it for a while because coins are hard to come by. Needless to say they don't want you farming Meowth because not all disruptions are coins............some are blocks and its totally random too. I've had games where it's been coins twice and blocks twice. So not worth the effort. We got the best version on the 3ds by far. Lets hope they don't change it to be more like the mobile version.
