Well, as some cynical people have pointed out on various places online, It'll all depend whether the Mobile game earns them more per person. If it does, then the Mobile version is a better business model, so the 3ds version will change, and vice versa.
On a side note, I finally caught Chesnaught, with 30 odd seconds left. It's really easy if you're lucky, and know what you're doing. A Mega Started Aerodactyl with Disruption Delay works wonders. Shuffle has an odd glitch, whereby if the whole column is cleared by one move, then the exact same icons are more likely to appear again. In Chesnaught's stage, this means you can keep the two side columns open, and if you make a combo on the left, then the right, then one or two in the middle, before going back over to the left, you can keep a large combo going until the rocks have all gone. Just thought I should share that, incase anyone else was frustrated by him.
Oh and another critique of the mobile version. I'm up to stage 61 and only got one gem from defeating Mega Pokemon. You mostly get 5 extra hearts only. I've got a whole 2 gems so far. I guess if there was no 3ds version this wouldn't be all that bad but with something to compare it too it definitely drops a grade or 2.
I've been giving the Android version a try over the weekend. This game is far better on the 3DS! I remember when it came out and a lot of people were bashing it and calling it a smart phone game and not a 3DS game. Those people were wrong. This game is a proper 3DS game and the port to phones is not near as fun to play. I'm playing on a Galaxy and I find the timed matches to be almost impossible. I end up picking up the wrong piece too many times.
Like Spoony said, I'll keep it around for when I don't have my 3DS on me to play it.

Yeah, the timed stages are a lot harder without a stylus. I am far less precise with my moves. I even borrowed a friend's iPhone stylus to try it out, but I had a lot of problems with that as well. Often it didn't register that I was dragging a Pokemon, or it would register it later in my swipe so I would drag the wrong one.
@Tech Not only is it annoying to get 5 hearts rather than a gem, but the hearts go into your replenished stack, so you can't even save them for later. 3DS version is definitely superior.
A person without a sense of humor is like a wagon without springs. It's jolted by every pebble on the road.
Never noticed the timed event issue with the Android version. I am using a note 2 so I at least have a wacom stylus. This could be a problem with future online competitions on this game due to favoritism.
I will give the game a bit of a pass on difficulty as I have grown to certain Pokemon available to me in the 3DS version. Ooo look a wild Kyogre... Go Pidgey!!
Other then that the only thing I though was interesting was the ability to re-activate the weekend money meowth with a gem. On the 3ds with the Mega bennet etc. it would actually be more profitable then exchanging the gems for coins.
@Morpheel Yeah, I only discovered that a few days ago. It was discussed in this thread and I felt like an idiot because I never tried it. Since discovering it I haven't had the need to use it though.
@Spoony_Tech We're almost around the same number of tags. I'm in the 1150 range, and those extra gems have been great. I've heard of Homepassers with well over 5000 tags.
@Rob_mc_1: Yeah, that is an interesting feature. Right now I don't have the Pokemon to make it worth it, but if I had the team I use on the 3DS version, then I would probably go for it. I usually net a profit around 7000 on Rich Meowth.
And the Regis are heading this way. Regirock, then Steel, then Ice.
And how did people do in the Sharpedo competition? I just scraped by, in 10,904th (With an 11,000 cut-off point...). I fell over 1000 places in just under 5 hours...
I got the mega speed up along with the stone in my main 3DS.
I tried to get the stone in my 2DS, but I failed by 11 spots. Really, I was #18011 in that one. It's not like I need to have everything twice though, so it's ok.
I wasn't concerned with ranking high on this contest, so I posted a score right at the start of the week and left it.
I just wanted the stone. My complacence nearly cost me though... :/
My Pokemon were maxed out and I used all powerups. I managed 2,500 spot, which ended up being not enough (I dropped to spot 4500 something) and, in another 3DS, I barely made it in the top 7,000 or something.
