I did a scouting run of Lugia, and then used Mega Start, Disruption Delay, and Attack x 2 (6500 coins total) because I have a ton of coins and nothing else in the update that will use them. Figure I'll be grinding Meowth all week anyway. I beat Lugia with 15 seconds left and the capture rate was in the 20s. Was prepared to use some Great Balls but I got lucky and caught Lugia without one.

Got Carnivine on my first attempt as well, so now there is literally nothing I can do except grind coins. Maybe we'll get a mid-week competition.

What do you mean by you'll be grinding Meowth all week?

I'm excited for this Safari since I missed out on these Pokes originally (started Shuffle around May). It'll be nice to fill-in some of those early blanks in the Poke List. That, Lugia, and Carvine'll give me plenty to do (on top of the ORAS post-game stuff) because, heaven knows, the increasingly more common (and ridiculous) difficulty spikes in the 200s levels in the main section has been annoying to the point where I've considered not really playing daily anymore.

Pokémon Shuffle Mobile is now available for iOS in North America, Europe and Australia.

Loading times are longer than the 3DS version, which is annoying considering how simplistic the game is. Higher resolution sprites are used, however, interface graphics appear to JPEG compressed (with visible artefacting).

Generally, all power-ups are more expensive than the 3DS version (and Great Balls cost 3,500 coins), however I've heard that jewels are a tad cheaper (though I couldn't check as I couldn't make sense of the "Purchase Confirmation" screen that appears whenever I try to enter the Jewel Shop).

Currently available special events include Mew, Daily Pokémon (Rotom forms) and Wobbuffet (Try 'em Stage).

I'll have to check it out but I'm not going to get into it too far. I can only keep up with one version and I prefer that to be the 3ds.

Yeah, the mobile version's a lot harsher apparently, with fewer coins, and things costing more... I'm gonna stick to 3DS. Nearly back up to date... Just have 6 more S Ranks, and Lugia, Viv, Chesnaught and the Justices left to catch, but I'm absolutely broke. Back to Meowth grinding, I guess...

A puzzle solved is its own reward.

Why can't I ever find anything on the Google play store. Help me out guys because I don't see it even when typing in Pokemon/Shuffle/Mobile.

@sillygostly: He means playing stage 37 over and over again, getting coins from Meowth. You can get, if you are skilled enough, 530 coins per play.

No need to buy tons of jewels by "grinding" or "milking" Meowth.

It's been so long since playing the main Meowth stage that I didn't realise that he gave out coins.

In that case, I'll be grinding him regularly from now on.

Thanks for the tip. I wish Staryu were still around though.

Yeah, if you are low on coins, or have nothing more to do, may as well spend those hearts on Meowth, level 37. Play it enough, and you'll figure out a way to have a shot at 530 coins each time.

Well, that was stupid. I spent most of my coins on upgrades to S-rank and catch the last Expert stage, and I did S-rank it, but I forgot to leave enough coins left over for a Great Ball and couldn't catch it. Oops. Back to grinding.

DefHalan

@Xyphon22: I would probably just get enough for the Great Ball then replay the level until you get one of those random high chance great balls.

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

So I downloaded the android version of it and I noticed that it has a data transfer option. Does that mean that I can transfer the save data from the 3DS one to this? If so, how?

After so long...I'm back. Don't ask why

X:

SillyG

You cannot do that. You can only transfer save data from one Android device to another or from one iOS device to another. I'm not sure if there is any kind of Android to iOS connectivity in this regard, but each copy of the game comes with a Client Number, which could possibly be used to transfer your profile between systems, regardless of platform, but I do not know for sure.

But you definitely cannot transfer to or from the 3DS version.

@sillygostly: Thanks for the reply.

I don't mind though as I felt that this game is best for a phone and not on an actual game console.

No problem.

I'll continue playing the iOS version because I can't always take my 3DS everywhere with me. I don't have my iPhone with me now (overseas; long story), but I'm currently playing it on the iPad and I'll probably transfer my data to the iPhone when I get back to Australia.

Good news for all you Sharpedophiles! A competition for his mega stone arrives next Monday. If you haven't already caught him, he's in the current Safari.

Emboar arrives this Friday and willl be a base 70 with Barrier Bash.
