I know someone touched on this earlier, but I'm still a little unclear. If I'm going to use a new 32gb MicroSD card for my New 3ds, can I just put that in the New 3ds at the beginning of the transfer and treat it like the blank 4gb that comes with the model?

Yeah, you can start the transfer using any blank microSD and the bigger the better. Uhm...

I really don't like the navigation bar of Nintendo Life continuously reappearing while browsing!!

@VanillaLake Watch this video. It covers what you're wanting to do exactly.

@MisterMan You can do that, but the only reason you should do that is if you want to transfer everything over wirelessly, which will take a long time to do. If you're able to transfer data using a computer, do that instead. Watch the video above to see how.

I want to know if I transfer all of my data on the N3DS XL, can I still have my game data when I redownload it on the eShop?

Yes. If you don't have enough space, the games won't transfer, but your save data will, so you can continue where you left off when you redownload.

You CANNOT download save data that hasn't been transferred.
If a digital game is deleted from a 3DS, so is its save data.

Thanks @brewsky I'll be using a PC for the transfer, I guess what I was trying to ask was, should I swap the 4gb MicroSD to the 32gb before I start step 1 in the video?

Not true for most games, before deleting there's an option create a save data backup and then delete the digital download. Smash 3DS is an example of an exception.

No. When you go to move your data from your old SD card to the microSD card using your computer, move the data to the 32 GB microSD card. You don't need to swap out cards in your New 3DS before you start the transfer.

I don't even know when I'm getting mine. Does anyone know how Best Buy is with shipping preorders?

I don't have much experience with preordering with them but I do know that my Toon Link amiibo arrived at the beginning of the month, and I preordered that

If you add me, I need to at least know you or I won't add you back.

I just transferred my stuff to my new micro SD as well. The week really is taking forever.

@Brewsky It's a good thing you're here. You're helping everyone with their questions. Thanks a bunch!

Where can I buy a glasses repair kit to get that tiny screwdriver? Other than a glasses store, obviously. The nearest one to me is quite a ways away and that's why I ask. Could I possibly get one at my local CVS or something?

Given my plan of temporarily downgrading to 4GB was a complete failure, I decided to order a 32GB micro SD card from Amazon. Should be here on Thursday of which I can just use my PC to transfer the files so the actual system transfer is much more simple.

You can get one at any hardware store or for that matter Wal-Mart. Just make sure it's a zero.
