It's been a while so I forgot, but you get the point. That theme is usually associated with Rathalos anyways just like how the Deserted Island one is usually associated with Lagiacrus. Either way I hope we get a localization soon since I wouldn't want to miss this.
But anyways yeah kinda wished Rathalos and Lagia had their own themes tied to them. Every other flagship has their own theme, are Los and Lagia not special enough or something? lol

Keep it PG-13-ish.
I'm probably just being a bit too worried since monsters like the Great Jaggi, Lagombi and Rathalos had their themes removed for generic battle musics in 4. But then again, those are monsters and not maps who had their songs changed.
This is the biggest potential problem with Cross. I loved 4U's music, but it played the same tracks for the same monsters over and over again so that it got really repetitive after a while farming or just questing in one area. Monster Hunter desperately needs to add a 'shuffle' option or something.
So basically what Monster Hunter cross is adding hunter-wise is super moves, slight combo alterations, and the 4 'styles,' which mainly affect your dodge roll skill. That's smart, as the dodge roll is obviously core to MH's gameplay, so allowing customization of it along with the weapons will greatly broaden players' gameplay options.
These videos show the 'technical' style to be an invincibility frame-like dodge roll. When you dodge through an attack with it it gives you a temporary walking-speed boost as well as another weapon-specific boost; a super fast 4-level charge in the Great Sword's case and a new type of the spirit combo's final circle slash for the Long Sword. I wonder how the evasion skill will work with this hunting style.
In terms of Smash Bros., the Great Sword's new super move is like a smash attack; a very long, powerful charge, and the Long Sword's new super attack is a counter.
So the aerial dual blade style is looking real funky in the best way possible. I'm excited to play around with those directional aerial lunge slashes. Also the technical style lets you dodge through attacks and deal several hits in the process! That's going to be very powerful for elemental weapons, I think.
The sword and shield is also cool, though much unchanged it seems. The technical style for it has a counter based around blocking; seemingly a dodge that sees your character hold their shield forward, blocking frontal attacks before running back in to deliver a launch + aerial 2-hit combo. You can also deal some kind of counter from blocking normally.
Oh, also the new super attack for the S&S is sort of an uppercut... with your entire body. Almost like an Smash Bros.-style screw attack.
@Haru17 Look at the SnS video again, they show off the new sub-mechanic for it during the Guild Style part: blade coatings. They're only available for SnS, and boost your weapon in ways I don't fully understand yet. I do know that the red coating showcased boosts attack power, but there's no clear info on other possible coatings, except that there are multiple kinds.
Huh, I thought the timing for dodging would be harder in Bushido style.
Anyway, the Charge blade have both perfect guard and evade. (Guard with sword mode, evade with axe mode)
I really can't wait to see bushido gunner weapons!
This trailer is partly composed of the best gameplay I have ever seen and partly..., well, you'll see!
Anyway, about its contents; they're LUDA... ROTH! And Uragaan! All my favorite monsters are comin' back! Not to mention the return Duramboros, as now a whole new generation of players will experience the bewilderment that comes from learning that a Duramboros can in fact jump. Mounting and the aerial style will also change the game for Duramboros, as its weak spots are not within reach.
