If people leave the group before you actually get the points, does that terminate the connection or something?

Think I might start glitching on Maka Wuhu/Mountain Loop. Sick of coming 6th, 7th, 8th all the time on that course. I'm not gonna do it in the NL community, but the people who glitch are getting more and more common, and therefore annoying!

any one know if you can send ghost data

The best ghost data I have on Wuhu Mountain Loop is someone called XiaoYuan, I was easily beating him until he used the glitch.

Wow. Why does everyone still have a different "requirement" for getting three stars? Based on my experience, and the opinions I've gathered on numerous boards, the requirement for first place is to finish all races in first—TBD said you can get one second, but I've never done this. Plus, you must have been in first a collective 60% or more of the time. That's just a rough average, but it seems fitting. I've fallen off the track ten times and still gotten three stars. Coin totals make no difference. No, literally. You can finish every race with zero coins and get three stars. You can fall off endlessly. You can get thwacked by twelve Blue Shells and Lightnings. Just keeps driving, and make sure you're in first most of the time. Also, yes. Blue Shells target whoever is first. Why go after first place if they've crossed the finish line?

Had some good NL prixs the last few days. Last one everything hinged on the last race. I decided to backrun, and did it perfectly. Dropped to fourth for the first box and got Triple Reds. Used two and got to first. On my way, got Triple Mushrooms. Second tried to boost ahead, BOOM, third Red Shell. Last (or maybe second last, I can't remember) lap, moments before the finish line, a Blue Shell whizzes along and I dodge it with my Mushrooms. YES! TAKE THAT YOU DANG SPINY BLUE HELL. :3

i'm sure you don't mean to come across as a jerk, but when i two-star a given GP after a perfect run, no falling off the track, no getting busted back down to 8th place, but little in the way of coinage and then i three-star it with a perfect run, no falling off the track, no getting busted back down to 8th place and 8-10 coins in all four tracks of the same GP, yeah, i'm going to attribute it to coins.

Focusing on collecting coins as well as first place worked for me, and so I'm passing that info on.

Really getting sick of being Blue Shelled on the finish line, just been blue shelled 3 races in a row after being first the whole way and then made to come 5th all because of a blue shell.
Nintendo really should have made it so they dont appear in the last lap

Mine are 900 wins - 206 Losses
I'm pretty happy with that if I do say myself (better than my COD ratio lol)

I loooove this game, but two things I hate online:

1. People who choose a track, eventually the track is picked, and then they choose it again. There are 32 tracks in this game, and you want to play the exact same one again? Once in a while the random selection even makes the track chosen again immediately. I need variety!
2. People who only ever choose Maka Wuhu so they can glitch. How do you find this to be fun? You want to play one specific track in the game, and you don't even drive the entire course?! You need a new hobby.

All right, I'm done raging.

This mindset is why it's becoming more and more common. If players didn't keep joining the glitchers just to keep up, then us honest racers would finish in 3rd or 4th place more often on that course.

While I may not be the type of person who likes most racing games, I have always found Mario kart to be fun. Well a few days ago I tried the first person view and it works fantastic. I love how the 3d helps add so much more depth and helps me drive more accurately. Sometimes it feels like I am actually driving. Has anyone here tried this mode yet and what are your thoughts?

I agree, it's just really. I feel sorry for people who get Blue shelled. HATE IT.
