@Luna_110 I got most of it in Awakening, but only 2 in Fates. (I think Fates DLC was generally better though, but 3 separate games kind of took some of that money)
I only bought the gold and wooden cavalry DLC in Fates.
For Echoes I don't see myself paying for much DLC either, I may wait to see if anything does come out that interests me though.
@yokokazuo
Its the opposite for me, in Awakening I played most of the DLC, I only have left the Future Past and Apotheosis, while in Fates.... I don't know, I didn't have any motivation to try it. I think I may be a bit burned out due to the three paths and due to my dislike of the characters.
I hope that Alm and Celica are more likeable than Corrin and Azura.
@Luna_110 ah, the characters may be another reason. I just really liked the Wooden Cavalry and ballista class one Shadow Dragon so I got the DLC and there have been other ones that interested me, but I never got.
As a Famicom/NES game, I feel like Gaiden is a bit limited in some ways, but I've been enjoying it for the most part. I also already like Alm and Celica more I think
Plus both are pretty good units too, Alm has been able to deal with most enemies fairly easily and while Celica doesn't have quite as much defence, she has gotten some really good magic attacks.

This doesn't specifically pertain to Echoes, but, in Fire Emblem generally, what makes a good character? As in, how can you tell from their stats if they're good or not?

I learn which characters to use primarily from the research of others, but I do try to use characters that I like as well if they're at least somewhat viable. One of my main characters that sees use in Shadow Dragon right now is Cord. While he's outmatched in axe usage by another character (Barst), I've found that he can stand on his own two feet.
Currently playing: Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr's Journey, Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana (Switch)
I hadn't realized that there were new characters, wonder how many there will be in total. And if there will be a limit to units. (Except in dungeons, you always had your whole team with you in battles in Gaiden.
Also really tempted to order the special edition... But while I'd really like to have the soundtrack and HD movie collection, I think I'm better off saving my money...

Seems to confirm archers will have 3 range (or at least some?)
And something about a carrot
Looking to be pretty close to the original though.
I should work on finishing Gaiden soon, I'm on the second last chapter right now I think.
Little over 3 months left so I should have it done before then.

@Grumblevolcano in the image they have a regular bow and the bow range +1 skill.
But as @DarthNocturnal said, archers had lots of range in Gaiden. By default they all have 1-3 range and with other bow weapons they can have a range of 1-5. I also believe that bow knights always have 1-5 range by default.
