Catching rare beetles in the Island. ^_^ Im still kind of a noob myself in this topic but from what I know.Visit around 8pm (or later,I did it yesterday like at 1 am XD) First you must clear your island of regular fruit trees just keep the palm trees. Then just circle the island until beetles spawn and start catching. Also try to look at the sea from time to time for sharks.I got 160k in one trip.
So I got the guide for the game a couple of days ago and I have a couple of questions, although some of them it should be too early to know the answer (unless you time travel, I suppose).
1. Roughly how much do you have to spend at Nook's store to get it to upgrade? The guide just says "a lot" or something like that.
2. To get the blue llama to wake up, do you just have to sell stuff to Reese (?) or do you have to use the flea market?
3. To get the Dream Suite it says you have to go online at least once, but IGN's wiki does not mention this requirement. Is it true? And if so, do things like Streetpass and connecting to get the downloadable item count, or do you have to go to another town?
4. For things that require going to other towns like badges or getting Katie to come and visit, does the Dream Suite count? I've never gone to other towns or invited someone over before because I don't know anyone who has the game, so I was wondering if I will have to do those things. Thanks for any answers.
Also not a question, but I thought it was funny that in all of the neighbors it mentions, it omits one of mine that was there when I moved in: Barold the Bear. Does anyone else have a neighbor that is not mentioned in the guide?

1. Check Nookipedia, but for the first upgrade it is about 12,00 000 bells
2. That I can't answer (I also keep checking the guide and it dosen't mention how)
3. You have to go to or have someone visit your town to get the dream and then you have to wait a few days (I think, no time traveling here just the guide)
4. I don't think so, I think the same applies on 3 here.

Wow, that was a lot of catching up to do thread-wise.
I started my first public works project today, it was a street lamp near my garden area with a bunch of hybrids. I plan on putting a bench and fountain there eventually as well because it's a nice open space.
With all this talk of villagers moving in front of houses and places people don't want them to, I'm hoping no one decides to set up a house right on top of all my hybrids >:0

It's just a scary story about Wild World, even though it's scary it's really creative and it actually explains A LOT about the game, such as why you're the only human in the town . . .

Anyways, my older sister was playing earlier and she caught two Coelecanths. My younger sister on the other hand got a popeyed goldfish. The rarest fish I have is a dorado and a giant isopod. D:

Yeah, the tarantula, that happened to me too. The thing I hate the most is the fact that when I want to see tarantulas and scorpions they never appear but when I don't want to see them they always appear . . .
