You have to come in first place to get the insect furniture, I came first today I caught a aegis butterfly and scored 102 points. I got a gold trophy and a catapillar couch

I beat my score of 71 by catching a Raja B. butterfly. It was larger than most and had decent color and luster. I got 87 points for it and a firefly lamp.

I got 6 pieces of furniture from the bug off today!
I like getting all of that for just catching bugs x3.
And I won first with my A-something or other butterfly with 97 points.

I was getting regular furniture each time I beat the high score, but since I didn't score higher than 80 that must be why i didn't get insect furniture. No worries, I'll do it next month. Thanks.

He made one of my items go from this to this so I can tell I'll be using his services quite a lot. Though the coloring options seem to be pretty limited for certain items.

Edit: oh wow, one or more of my villagers just went crazy planting white roses around the roses I planted around my fountain. I guess this is the effect of the beautiful town thing? I think I'll change it to night owl town. I just read beautiful town is better suited for people who don't play everyday so I'll change back to it after I start to lose interest in the game.

Today, I made 150,000 bells in one trip to the island. I can confirm that between 7 - 8 pm is the best time to go the island (if you want to maximize your profit).

Actually 7-9am is best for the Island as all expensive beetles come out after that time.

@konata: It may seem weird, but remembered this and decided to give it a go, this is my adaptation of that song, it is not a perfect translation of it to animal crossing, but I used the catchiest part of the song and worked with that, I hope you like it.

Note: it uses the traditional do re mi, not the a b c scale from the games in english, so try to match them by color! Also, try changing the last DO to SOL, it also sounds nice!
