Mine arrived today. Was very dissapointed that Zavvi didnt manage to get it to me on launch date unlike most of the other suppliers, but glad I got the exclusive package because the packaging itself was fantastic. Tried the game with and without the new contoller and I prefer playing Resi Evil Revations without... but not because I dislike the new controller but instead because I have gotten used to the standard controls as they are the same as ResiEvil: Mercaneries. The controller is of a nice build, its comfortable, sturdy and in no way as big as what you expect. If I hadnt got used to the Mercs control system I would be more than happy using it. Looking forward to trying it with Monster Hunter an MGS because I imagine it will be similar to using the Classic Controller Pro on the wii. I even sized them up side by side etc and I find the attachment isnt any bigger if not ever so smaller than the CCPro. I wish there was a way to set controls on some of the older games such as Splinter Cell 3D as it would be so much better with the new controller. The game itself is as good if not better than expected and I like the episodic format because it makes it so you can fit the game around your life rather than the other way around and it is one of the most visually slick games on the 3DS I have played. I would definetly recommend it to anyone unsure about buying it, and as far as the controller its definetly worth trying out.
...Zavvi on the other hand, I wouldnt recommend.

Is anyone else suffering with really bad glitching in the lifts with this game. heres hoping for a patch
If you mean low framerate, then yes, but that is because it is loading new "levels" into memory while you take the elevators. Not really a bug.
On a side note; I just played a co-op session in Raid mode. I absolutely enjoyed it, and I think in some of the later raid-levels you do need another player to get S rank. It becomes VERY intense.
how do you unlock raid mode? i am only on the 4th chapter!!!!
I know Mario personally as I caught him in a pokeball! 3ds Friend code; 1934 0713 8215 PSN ID: TitanBryan Follow me on twitter to support Pokemon Hoenn remake!!!!

On the title screen you need to go into your missions. Missions are like achievments that you unlock during the Campaign and get rewards but you dont get rewards automatically you need to claim them. Once your in the Mission menu you will see some boxes with yellow exclamation marks, these are missions you can complete. Looks for the "Complete episodes 1 to 3" and you will unlock the first seven stages of Raid Mode with three characters unlocked (Jill, Chris and Parker) you can unlock additional raid levels and characters by completing more of these missions.
...hope that helps

... thats why i racked up my play coins when i first got the 3ds... i finished the streetpass games in a matter of days and my coins have been sitting there, maxed out... finally, a use for all of them... XD
On one hand, Tech101, special items require a full complement of 10 play coins, but the rest can be bought with BP, which are awarded after completing a story chapter or, presumably, a Raid mode run.
My magnum revolver took most of the BP I had earned up to that point, but hey - it's a magnum revolver!
^aside - I can't belive I spelt Magnum wrong three times today...^
Thanks for that info edhe. I've got around 100 play coins at the moment and vowed to only play when I get a street pass. There are so many hats to collect now I feel it might take me forever. They really expanded the street pass puzzles and games to last forever now but that's not a bad thing. I should have plentu of coins when the time comes. I've still got just over a week.
Can you join a raid mode from the friends list like Mario kart? I've been wondering if anyone has tried that yet!

If I was only ever able to have Monster Hunter and EO games in the future, I would be a happy man.
Raid Mode Vs. Mercenaries - Didnt want to start another topic for fear of it being closed and directed to here, but this is how I see it. Revaltions Raid mode and the stand alone Resident Evil Mercs are two entirely different games. i know there have been some people who had been put off getting Mercs when Raid mode was announced and probably some people who sold on their copy of Mercs because they imagined that they didnt need it with Revelations having a similar mode. Raid mode is a short two player co-op mission based on locations that you complete during the Campaign mode with RPG elements and is generally slower paced and claustrophobic compared to Mercs. Your score is for completing objectives, taking as little damage as possible and generally how well you work as a team and although time affects score you do not have a alloted time to complete mission. Mercenaries is an all out action, arcade time based kill as many baddies as you can with set weapon sets, great Melee attacks and add on skill sets that dont nesseraly make sense like the ability to make lightining charges etc. Basically a whole lot of fun but not very deep.
So basically if you like Revaltions and decided to miss out on Mercs, its still worth picking up and im sure you can get it really cheap now. Now I have played both I am glad I kept my copy of Mercs. Together they make a great Resident Evil package which I am sure Capcom being the way they are will probably release in the near future.
