I haven't got my pre order from Zavvi yet either, but I kind of expected it. They're known for their awful delivery times. I always go with Shopto and get the game 3, or 2 days early. The reason I went with Zavvi was because of the CPP deal, that saved me like £10.
When did you 2 (Reverandjames & Raptor78) get your dispatch confirmation emails? I got mine yesterday, with a 2-3 day estimate. TBH I don't mid if if it comes on Saturday, but if it misses Saturday and I end up getting it on Monday I will be a bit cheesed off. I mean, 3 days late for a preorder that is (In Zavvi's exact words) Guaranteed for Release Day Delivery.
If it arives tomorrow, then fair enough, I can deal with a day late, but from what I've been reading on various forums, we're not going to recieve the game for about a week, which is completely unacceptable.
Ughh, really? A week? I think I'll just go into town and buy the game if it dosen't turn up tomorrow if that's the case.

I got my dispatch notice 2 days ago at about 11:00am, plenty of time for a package to get here with standard delivery, so the fac that it has not arrived has annoyed me, because they are cleary sending out dispatch emails without actually disptaching the game.

Mine was the 25th so should really have expected it today, tommorow at latest. With the exceptions of this ALL my other pre-orders (not that I do it that often) arrive the day before release I gues they do this to ensure that even with any delays you still get it at launch otherwise I may have just gone and walked into town and bought it from one of the many stores that sell it. Damn Nintendo for doing the exclusive deal with the devil... I mean Zavvi.

I got my copy through the post (along with a circle pad pro, which I find completely unusable), and have played through the first episode.
I'm quite pleased with what I've played so far, and have so far learned not to aim for the monsters' heads, because, apart from being difficult to target (with their swaying), it's largely ineffective. I'm sure everyone who played the demo worked this out eventually, but it took a few minutes for me to cotton on.
Funnily enough, I wasn't expecting Parker to have an Italian accent. So I've already experienced my first Revelation.
@MiracleBlaze How did you review it on your blog? If it was a review copy, are you not allowed to keep review copies then?
I think most are allowed to keep the review copies, but I wasn't. Probably because my site isn't very well established, and I only get about 400 views a day, unlike most which have more like 200,000 views a day.
Personally I like the circle pad pro for this. Makes the game feel like dead space on a boat (dead boat? hmm maybe stick with the official title) Only just through the first episode myself but so far so good. I know there is some negative views to the monster-mabobs lack of reaction to being pumped full of lead but for me its a not been an issue and adds to the tension (nothing like backing into a wall not quite knowing if the damn things going to drop before it rips your throat out)

It's too imprecise for me. If I'm able to alter the sensitivity, I may get on better with it, but the standard controls are good enough for me.
Also, I find it difficult to get used to the shape and feel. If you remember when Nintendolife reviewed the Circle Pad Pro, they said it's not as difficult as it looks, but I'm still not able to get the hang of it.
Got it and have been playing for quite some time. Love it thus far. Controls work great, though moving while aiming is a hassle (I did not buy the CPP). Other than that they're great.
And I have to say, the game looks freaking phenomenal with the 3D at 'Very High'. This and Mario 3D Land are definitely the best 3D games I've seen on the system thus far. Love the small details like crows flying away when you get to close, rats coming out of lockers etc.
Also, the game just looks great graphically overall. Great lightning, great effects etc. etc. Even the sound is spot on. I'm definitely liking it so far. I hope it'll continue at this rate.
Looking forward to: No More Heroes: Travis Strikes Again

Changing the aiming speed in the control options it effectively alters the CCP sensitivity as it affects not just the aiming but camera control as well.
@Reverandjames I pre-ordered through Zavvi and mine turned up today. Only ordered it about 2 weeks ago.

I will not be happy if this is true. I almost payed mine off at gamestop for 49.99. They better adjust the price if that's the case or ill go elsewhere and get my money back!

If I was only ever able to have Monster Hunter and EO games in the future, I would be a happy man.
