Capcom Is Releasing An Offline Version Of Mega Man X DiVE

Multi console release, please.
I want the PS4 or PS5 version.

Good… I’ll play it as I’ve played every MM game in existence. So, does this means MMX9 soon????!!!!

So I hate to be that guy because I love MEGAMAN x as much as anyone but the gacha mechanics are horrendous in this game and the lack of social activities pretty much ruins the only good thing it had.

You might like it when you first start out. And then you start hitting them walls like any free to play, and then you realize that they do everything they can to corner you into a purchase.

My mistake was being super competitive in the pvp and I got up to the best meta characters at the us time of release, super bass, dive zero, etc and every character after that was just another power creep. I hate what nebula joy did to this game, I’m salty at the money I put into it and I’ve learned my lesson.

TLDR I would not recommend supporting this as it’s not even a cap on game, they are licensing it to nebula joy and have been constantly criticized for unfair odds.

You also don’t get the coop, pvp, guild, chat, etc

It’s pretty nice that they are not completely killing the game.
Though you do need to basically start over again.

This is pretty much what I wanted, hopefully with the event content included, for Dragalia Lost.
Though am intrigued about this one anyway.

How strange, I was reading about this game on Wikipedia yesterday. I'd never heard of it before, but was just checking to see what games were still missing on Switch.

@Alckemy As others have said, the offline version isn't getting microtransactions. No banners or anything. Regular characters will be available to purchase outright with zenny and the more special characters will require elemental metals. Elemental Metals are already confirmed not to be available for purchase this time around. It will all be earned in-game.

I for one am pretty excited that this game isn't just going to disappear into the digital void, even if the online version was predatory as hell (I should know, I spent far too much on this game because seeing Battle Network, X and MMZ characters given new life hit me right in my weak spot).

Strip it of all it's predatory nonsense and you have a really cool collection of old MM characters given the chance to see the spotlight again, albeit it'll probably be a really grindy experience. I'm ok with grind, though.

Played this for 3-4 months regularly and it was an extremely fun game.

Really excited for this.

This is how it should be with all online games, Nintendo really need to take this into consideration as well for their mobile games, they already killed 3 of their games and if you count Pokémon mobile games then that's technically 5 of their games. Though considering how easily they take into nuking their own digital exclusive games along with thousands of others everytime they shut down their digital stores + how little they cared about Super Mario 35... is sad to say i doubt they will ever bother...

Square-Enix recently did the same for their Dragon Quest MMO so I hope they will do the same for both their Final Fantasy MMO games if they ever consider shutting them down.
Hopefully other companies follow this as an example and do this treatment for their online games as well (I'm looking at you, Genshin Impact).

Kinda sucks that Capcom chose to exclude some of the other Capcom collaboration content in this version which i do not understand why at all since this is a Capcom game too...

Just because a game has data for other systems in its code, that won't always mean that it will be released for those systems. Shin Megami Tensei V had data for the PS4 or PS5, can't remember which, but it's still exclusive to the Switch. I'm hoping for this to age poorly because that game could run better on more powerful hardware.

From a business perspective, it likely makes sense to release a game on just a few platforms, such as Android and iOS. If consoles are added at a later date, people are more likely to double dip.

Just make a new X game, I really don't care about X-dive and that announcement was incredibly disappointing

I'm among the people who want to see a Switch port of Mega Man X Dive Offline edition. Even go as far as to do a Physical copy of the game, be it from Capcom, or from Limited Run.

Also, there is a part of me that wants to see a Reboot of Mega Man X. Maybe implement some characters outside of the X series, like Roll of the classic series, Tron Bonne of the Legends series, and even Harpuia and Leviathan of the Zero series.

@Olmectron : Correct, it was announced in June. Beside the aforementioned release date there is nothing new here, NLife is just very late reporting on this for whatever reason.

Mega Man X: Not Total Trash From the Jump Edition looking like an actual vidya game, here, y'all. Mega Man X was always just Mega Man except anime...er, and anime fans can't seem to not support gacha trash, so here we are. As always, THANKS WEABS!

@Chibi_Manny You want them to kept their mobile garbage around? I rather they focus on their main games for consoles instead. The mobile games are there to entice people to get the real deal on their console. Nintendo is not using the mobile platform to make games to compete with other apps or gacha games, they are using the mobile platforms to advertised their own games. Usually if you play Mario Kart Tour, you'll get ads for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe or Mario Kart Live, same if you play Fire Emblem Heroes. You'll get ads for Three Houses, Three Hopes, or Engage.
