Idea Factory has confirmed that it will be bringing Moero Chronicle Hyper to Nintendo Switch in the west next month. You'll be able to get your hands on it from 26th April.
Originally released without the 'Hyper' in Japan, this dungeon-crawling RPG has you fighting through dungeons, recruiting Monster Girls, and building relationships with them in order to solve the mystery afflicting the denizens of Monstopia. The game's press release asks, “how cute can a monster be?”, so you can probably see where this one's headed.
The Switch release has been remastered and is presented in HD, and also includes some new features. There are new, stat-boosting items for your party; an autopilot mode which lets players head to any coordinate of their choosing automatically; all original art and event CGs are included; and a new vibration function has been added for the "bumping scratch" session.
We've got lots more info for you below thanks to the very same press release:
Io is a simple young man with only one problem – he can’t talk to women! Any attempts at conversation are destroyed by his perverted mind, except when he talks to Lilia, his best friend and a Monster Girl.
Key Features
Moe Monsters Moe Problems! - Recruit 50 Monster Girls, each with unique skills and traits, to fight for you! You’ll have to wear them out in battle first though!Can I Kick It? - Build your relationship with each Monster Girl through special events, gift-giving, and even home improvement to increase their powers and abilities!
Trait Flexin’ - Strategize your 5-person party by keeping their Moe Traits in mind – when combined together, you can recover after battle, increase your party’s attack, and more!
Nothin’ Wrong with a Little Bumping Scratch! - Purify your Monster Girls and return them to their senses with “Bumping Scratch”! Find their points of weakness on their body and touch, rub, poke, or pick until they’re purified!
As mentioned above, this one will be available from 26th April. Pricing will be set at $29.99.
Is this your kind of game? Will you be 'bumping' and 'scratching' when it launches next month? Tell us in the usual place.

Seems entertaining to me.
Been wondering when this would pop back up. It was in the coming soon section in the Australian and European eShops listed for last week but then got taken down. I'll probably grab it when it comes out.
Phew, that trailer should have a seizure warning at the beginning. It didn't show a lot of gameplay and the monster aspect of the girls seems to be mostly different hair colors.
Something tells me it is not the ideal game to play at work during my lunch break.
"Find their points of weakness on their body and touch, rub, poke, or pick until they’re purified!"
This isn't a dungeon crawl, more like a young girl body crawl.
"Why don't girls play videogames?"
Nice. I definitely will buy. I really like dungeon crawlers.
Now waiting for Omega Labyrinth too.
@Pod Such stupid generalization, my dear SJW.
@Pod
Uh, we do.
OMG that seal was amazing.
"Find their points of weakness on their body and touch, rub, poke, or pick until they’re purified!"
"Moe monster girl rpg with vibration function"
Will buy it if it gets a retail release.
@Pod Someone doesn't know any girls.
I love trailers that show absolutely no gameplay whatsoever. They really give me an idea of what the games are all about..
I actually want to see gameplay before I commit to an RPG/Visual Novel.
@Tirza Whereas SJW is a specific, detailed and defined group?
Still surprised it took them a week or two to notice the previous erroneous eShop entry (which set the game for last week). But at 30 bucks with a 30% launch discount (as per the tweet: https://mobile.twitter.com/IdeaFactoryIntl/status/1107709146210562048 ), I might even take a shot from late April payday (courtesy of FFXII's own comfy pricing) - provided there will be no higher wishlist priorities to pop up on sale as well and tempt me away. I haven't been prioritizing first-person dungeon crawling much since my backlog already has an ongoing Strange Journey playthrough in that domain.
@Pod asked no otome VN developer ever.
@Pod
UNLEASH THE KRAK--er, the Charlie! @Charlie_Girl, I summon thee!
Why does this genre have so much utterly pathetic/creepy “fan service” nonsense?
I dig DRPGs gameplay-wise but a lot of them are downright embarrassing to play...
@Tirza @Rinari @Kalmaro @nhSnork
I am served as I deserve.
Though I should like to point towards the quotation marks.
I'm in on the joke here.
I recognize quickly that this game isn't for me, so unless my self-awareness was at a record low, I naturally I wouldn't assume that it IS for all other men EXCEPT me, and NO women at all.
Have a seat, right over there.
You know, this is another situation where I have to point to the portability of the Switch as a major boon to games released on it. I could buy this game on Steam for $3, but having a version I can play on the go just sounds so much more appealing for a dungeon crawler. I also like that they apparently added in touch screen features. Not enough Switch games make use of the system's touch interface in handheld mode.
I need to see some gameplay and read a review.
I like Dungeon Crawlers - so why not if it's any good.
Well that's disgusting, but seems to be right up the pervybois' alley.
Needs way more milf and gilf monsters.
I'll get it for the plot
Where is Anti-Matter?😁
Nothin’ Wrong with a Little Bumping Scratch! - Purify your Monster Girls and return them to their senses with “Bumping Scratch”! Find their points of weakness on their body and touch, rub, poke, or pick until they’re purified!
What the actual f***? Is the market for this game horny 13 year old boys?
@Sabroni Yes.
Meh, that's a lazy way to make a "monster girl". It's just generic anime girls in costumes.
True monster girls look like this
The gameplay sounds great, but that trailer was pretty cringe, and didn't even show off any gameplay...
I like dungeon crawlers, but would need to see some gameplay.
I... uh... this looks "interesting".
I wonder what percentage of people who are not single play these games? Seriously, I’m just wondering cause I really don’t know the answer to that question.
@SmaggTheSmug Nobody is jerking it to those bugbears though other than maybe some teenaged orcs or goblins or someone like that.
Gonna get this game for sure!
Reasons: 65% gameplay and plot (Not PLOT,) 30% Art style, 5% other.
The monster aspect of the designs could be a little more pronounced and inventive, I think. There's probably some cute personalities in the 50 girl count, at least.
This is something I'd rather get on Steam. The awful Switch menu screen that pointlessly displays all the games I own will let everyone know I bought a copy. My Steam library is better for covert, single-player gaming.
Poking and rubbing underage-looking girls is fine as long as all nipples are properly covered, I suppose.
I want @AlexOlney to be the one to review this game
Ahahahaha what is that?! I just laughed through a trailer that showed me nothing but a brief frame of some scenery and the rest just character (concept?) Art... Well, it's lucky age is nearly unidentifiable in manga art.
@Tirza what a stupid generalisation.
So it's like a cross between Pokémon and Conception? That's too weird for me. I'll pass.
@Sabroni Ok.
@Tirza "Ok, I'm a hypocrite" or "Ok, I want this conversation to stop"?
The description sounded alright, but, I've seen these characters before a thousand times under different names. I'm getting really tired of this recycled anime art.
@Mijzelffan I suddenly feel incredibly Christian.
@Sabroni Sí
I love the ignore function on this site!!!!!
@AlexSora89 I cannot be summoned. I merely appear when it is time.
@Charlie_Girl
Well, then Yuna's lessons were a total scam.
