Super Smash Bros. Ultimate isn't the only platform fighter on its way to the Nintendo Switch. In case you forgot, Blue Mammoth is releasing the free-to-play title Brawlhalla early next month on 6th November.
To build interest, publisher Ubisoft is giving Switch owners the chance to receive early access to the game. All you have to do is sign up via the beta webpage with a Ubisoft account. If you're selected for the beta, you'll receive a follow-up email when early access begins. Otherwise, you'll have to wait for the game's official release.
Ubisoft has also posted an FAQ which confirms you can play the game without the need for a Nintendo Switch online membership and explains how cross-play is currently not supported. You can find out more over on the Brawlhalla website.
Will you be signing up or have you already received an invite? Have you played Brawlhalla before? Tell us below.

I wish good luck upon this game, considering it has a lifespan of one month and one day.
Want to try this on Switch too though I'm much more excited about Rivals of Aether's Switch version coming next year.
@TheFanatic That's how I feel for pretty much every game that launches near Smash bros.
Video should say
"One of the most played fighting games on systems that don't have Smash!"
Good thing this game is free. Now people have something to play before they scrounge up enough money for Smash Ultimate.
O O F
This game is actually really fun! The second best platform fighter, behind the Smash franchise of course. Can’t wait for the Switch release!
Thought it was out already
I hope it’s better than Brawlout. That smash clone was one of the worst experiences I had on Switch.
Ubisoft’s website won’t let me log in. Is anyone else having problems?
This is going to be dead on switch come december
@Kalmaro Same here, remember all those 'Holiday' games?
All I see is Smash
I'm good, I'll play the real thing on December 7th.
Done! This might be another hit from Ubisoft on Switch.
i played it on steam a good while back. it was alright with friends but i couldn't see myself playing it without friends.
And I hear ROB64 saying “Good Luck”.
There’s two fighting games out this year; Smash and Not Smash.
That's cool and all, but did you know that when
olimar gets damaged, you'll see a crack in his
helmet? But don't worry. It'll get fixed up right
away.
The art style is more appealing than most Smash-like games I've looked at and the roster has a lot more for me than Brawlout. So it's probably worth a shot. But it'll have to wait for the Smash hype to calm down for me.
While Shovel Knight is an Assist Trophy in Smash, in Brawlhalla, he is a playable hero! Take that into consideration.
Just signed up for the beta... has anyone received an email back yet?
Considering it's FTP, I'm sure it will have at least a small following even after Smash comes out. Not everyone will buy Smash day one, and believe it or not there are always going to be some people who aren't super into Smash for whatever reason.
IM glad you all are going to wait for smash and are putting this game down so that means i should get a early try! THanks guys!
@JasmineDragon I'd guess many people who never played smash, but played this on PC are going to prefer this mainly because they already know the champions there and how to play (against) them
I can't imagine anything less appealing than an early access free to play game by Ubisoft.
A month before smash? Lol a little late I think bois
Just got emailed with an early access code 😊 guess everyone should have theirs now too. See you in the arena 👊🏻
