Remember the Retro-Bit Generations? We didn't think all that much to it when we reviewed it back in 2016, but the company is trying to make amends with a second offering, this time focused on the history of Capcom and Data East.

The Super Retro-Cade looks physically similar to the Generations, but comes with new wired controllers, save states, SD card support, HDMI and AV out and 90 titles, which are a mixture of arcade hits and console releases.

Confirmed for the system are:

  • Strider
  • Strider (NES port)
  • Final Fight
  • Final Fight 2
  • Final Fight 3
  • Mighty Final Fight
  • Mercs
  • Ghouls 'n Ghosts
  • Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts
  • Ghosts 'n Goblins
  • Armored Warriors
  • Forgotten Worlds
  • Heavy Barrel
  • Secret Agent
  • Mega Twins
  • Three Wonders
  • Mega Man 2
  • Mega Man 3
  • Burgertime
  • Bad Dudes
  • Knights of the Round
  • Fighter's History
  • Captain Commando
  • Joe & Mac
  • Son Son
  • Karate Champ
  • Codename Viper
  • 1943
  • Side Pocket
  • Street Fighter 2010

Retro-Bit is hinting that games from other companies will be announced in the future to flesh out that 90-title roster.

The system launches this holiday season and will cost $59.99. It would seem that Retro-Bit has put quite a bit of time and effort into making this more successful than the Generations, which was blighted by unfortunate emulation problems.
