Wii Fit U Update Resolves Data Transfer Issues

Posted by Lewis Childs

Fixes 'lock up' issue

Last week we reported that some players were experiencing lock ups in Wii Fit U when attempting to transfer save data from either Wii Fit or Wii Fit Plus. Nintendo quickly issued a manual solution to resolve the problem, which involved deleting Mii characters in the Wii U Mii Maker, along with any transfer data. Fortunately, an update has now been made available which corrects the error.

The latest patch also fixes a Fit Meter data transfer issue.

Here are the update details from Nintendo of America’s website:

We repaired the bug that disabled users from advancing in the game when attempting to transfer data from Wii Fit and Wii Fit Plus. If this issue is already occurring, the update data can be downloaded to successfully transfer data.

We repaired the bug that in some instances caused the data measured in the Fit Meter to reflect incorrectly when the data is transferred.

Have you been enjoying Wii Fit U? Were you affected by either of these bugs, and if so, has the update resolved the issues for you? Let us know in the comments section below.

Thanks to Ryan Miller for the tip.

Pretty fast fix. I had no issues though and I am enjoying the game. I am also getting used to take the Fit Meter anywhere I go, very cool little tool.

@cornishlee You can use two wiimotes in boxing. Just have them both active, and even though he doesn't say it, you can use two Wiimotes.
I don't really know what triggers it, but just an hour ago i did it XD

Great. Now can they resolve the issue I'm having with actually finding the meter on a store shelf?

I have had my Fit Meter immediately abort syncing, so I'll be happy if that's sorted!
