Turn Your Animal Crossing Character Into A Custom Figurine

Posted by Conor McMahon

A new life for your New Leaf mayor

Animal Crossing: New Leaf has been a part of many 3DS users' lives for quite some time now, and in that time more than a few of us have surely grown particularly attached to their player character at the center of it all.

This latest installment in the long-running series brought more customization options to the table than any other before it, adding a selection of shoes, socks and skirts to the mix, not to mention an infinite supply of unique outfits available through QR codes. It has allowed players to create a character all of their own, and now you can proudly display your individual mayor as a real figurine — for a price of course.

Edberg Panganiban is the man behind the transition, and he describes them as:

A one-of-a-kind animal crossing inspired figure made from casted resin, cel vinyl paint, and love. It has a matte finish. It can make a beautiful gift for any animal crossing new leaf fan! The figure and base roughly stand at 3 3/4".

The figures are on sale at his online store now, just in time to stuff a few lucky stockings this Christmas season. They can be bought ready-made — which are suitably adorable in their own right — or painted by hand to suit your individual request.

Keep in mind though, it'll cost more than a few bells if you're looking to go down the fully customized route. Let us know below if you think the price is worth it just to see your little Mayor take charge of your desk at home.

Cool idea but VERY expensive for a figurine that is less than 4 inches tall. My axe murderer, blood splattered, exposed brain, hockey mask wearing character would look good sat on my desk... but not at that price.

If it was smaller, it would make a great addition to my desk.

I did this with my Xbox Live avatar. Not sure if it's the same company doing it. Look, it's even my avatar. :)

Doesn't fit my budget, but very cool so I can see these having a market for gamers with deep pockets.

I wonder if he also makes Mii versions of the characters, like my mayor in the game, who wears dresses and stuff.

Not as steep as you guys make it seem. Pretty small figures, sure, but the quality looks good from the images. It takes time to hand paint small objects like this.

They look pretty, detailed and sleek. I want one, but I can't buy everything I want.
