Elminage Gothic Is Dungeon Crawling To The Nintendo 3DS

Posted by Damien McFerran

Remixed and renewed

Starfish's dungeon crawler Elminage Gothic is coming to the 3DS in 2013. A remix of the PSP edition, the developer hasn't yet said how this new version will differ from the original.

It's not the first time the series has graced a Nintendo portable - Elminage DS Remix came out a while back in Japan, and was an update of a previous PS2 title.

There's no word on a western release, but there's certainly a demand for this kind of title in the US and Europe - hence the fact that Etrian Odyssey IV is getting localised.

In the meantime, here's some footage of the PSP version:

That was one of the most boring videos I've ever seen. They better do a whole lot of revamping before its released on the 3ds

Hope this comes to the west. Now this is the kind of dungeon crawling I like! Would rather play this than EO.

I am playing Etrian Odyssey 3 at the moment, and i am loving it. This game looks interesting to me! Hope it would be hard as nails, yet balanced! :)

Class Of Heroes/II looks much better to me. Still, it might be interesting once I get a 3DS next year for Etrian Odyssey IV.

Hmm after playing The Sword of Hope II on VC, this type of RPG really appeals to me, too bad it'll never make it to Europe or Australia. Well At least I have a still-sealed copy of Etrian Odyssey II that I haven't played yet, I might give that a go instead.

Which likely isn't their fault, the PSP version is already out and has been for a long time.
