We reported on this excellent event last year, and wouldn't you believe the 4th Annual Gathering of Video Game Legends at Westwood College in Anaheim, CA is almost upon us — which makes this a ripe time to bring it to your attention once again.
The event will take place on Saturday, 18 August, from 10AM to 4PM. It's free to attend, so gamers in the area might want to stop by and thank Mr. Way personally for Mighty Flip Champs, Mighty Milky Way, Mighty Switch Force, and perennial favourite Galactic Taz Ball.
Also scheduled to present are Dave "Fargo" Kosak of Blizzard Entertainment, Tina Kowalewski of Sony, and many, many others.
The event is targeted at those who are interested in a career in game design, and will allow attendees a chance to take part in workshops, engage in panel discussions, and even pitch ideas — so if you've got a concept for Galactic Taz Ball 2 burning a hole in your pocket, now's your chance to get it to the right guy!
More information and a complete list of speakers can be found here.

Someone ask him about Shantae on 3DS VC so we can all be happy.
@TheDreamingHawk It's coming by the end of the year according to Nintendo Power.
what's Galactic Taz Ball?
@C-Olimar - are you serious? There's a link, like, right there. You could click that, but you spend the time to write a comment here asking others?
@Wheels2050 No need to be nasty.
Heh. Galactic Taz ball?
We need an game even more epic from them. Pepe Le Pew's Love Fantasy perhaps?
It's more incredulity than being nasty. I can't believe that people, with the entire internet at their fingertips (and not to mention a link to a page DESCRIBING THE GAME IN QUESTION being provided) that people can't use their initiative in order to figure stuff out themselves.
@Wheels2050 agreed
I'd rather ask him about how it feels to hold Billy and Jimmy's fate as he holds the torch for Double Dragon.
It would be nice for Wayforward to try and acquire the A Boy and His Blob IP from Majesco since it doesn't fit their business plan.
Wow pretty cool, I should check it out!
Ha, I guessed California before even reading the article. All video game related 'meetings' and 'conferences' happen there.
@Wheels2050 I couldn't be bothered waiting for the link to load on my slow iPhone, so i quickly typed in a comment, in the hope of returning at a later time.
You know, just because you're on the interent doesn't mean you have to be nasty when you don't have the whole context of something.
