Putty Squad (Wii U)

Game Profile

The UK’s most successful independent games publisher, System 3, is proud to announce the return of gaming’s most loved stretchy blue blob this summer, in the revolutionary platform action-adventure, Putty Squad.

The critically acclaimed Putty Squad first made its way on gamers screens on the Amiga in 1992 and now the old-skool hero, Putty, returns to celebrate System 3’s 30th year anniversary. Putty once again takes on a stirring quest to rescue his kidnapped friends in a reinvigorated and reimaged modern platform game.

My God, this game is ugly. And Nintendo see fit to show it off at Comicon?

They seem to have cancelled this game for Wii U. It's not mentioned anymore on their website, last time the Wii U version was mentioned was the summer teaser trailer. Even the promised 3DS version hasn't been seen anywhere. Only released on PS3/PS4/PS Vita at the end of November.

They did however release on their website for free the Amiga version that was supposed to come out 20 years ago. That was nice Christmas surprise.

It's out for 3DS, but there are no good news about the Wii U version. From System3.com:
