Review World Heroes 2 (Switch eShop)
An improvement over the first game, but it's not Perfect
Of the many one-on-one fighters released on Neo Geo (and now filling up the Switch eShop), World Heroes was far from top of the pile. It could still entertain however, and its colourful cast of characters inspired by historical figures helped it stand out. World Heroes 2 provides the same best...
Review World Heroes 2 (Wii Virtual Console / Neo Geo)
Global gathering
ADK’s World Heroes series is one of the Neo Geo’s lesser-known fighting dynasties, and is usually pushed to one side when people get all nostalgic about the likes of King of Fighters, Art of Fighting, Samurai Shodown and Fatal Fury. This is probably because the franchise never really took itself all that seriously; the cast was...

News World Heroes 2 Brings The Pain Next Week On Switch
If at first you don't succeed...
Fighting is once again in the cards next week as Hamster is adding ADK's 1993 World Heroes 2 to the Nintendo Switch eShop. As per sequel mandates, this second entry in the series features six all new characters (Captain Kidd, Ryoko Izumo, Mudman, Erick, Shura Nai Khanomtom, Johnny Maximum and all new boss Dio) and a...
Nintendo Download 10th January 2013 (North America)
Deer hunting, dino pets, biorhythms and world heroes
It's Nintendo Download update time, and this week's arrivals possibly represent the quirkiest collection of offerings in quite a while. Every platform gets something new — if Wii U demos count — while the handheld platforms have a strong focus on catching, hunting, caring for and picnicking...
Nintendo Download 27th December 2012 (Europe)
Mario returns, chess galore and heroes of the world
Most of the world is currently in a vague fuzz of lazy relaxation, but not the download team at Nintendo. It's the usual update, this time incorporating every system with the exception of Wii U, so barring a surprise a certain pinball series isn't going to make it to the new system this year...
News Japanese Virtual Console List: November 2011
A whopping seven new titles
Europe is now getting frightfully close to going five entire months without a Wii Virtual Console game, and North America also hasn't had anything in a while, but that isn't stopping Japan from trucking on. Although most of their previous months only had three or four games, this month has a whopping seven, one of the...
About The Game
The time traveling tournament fighters are back! The original eight characters from the popular arcade hit return, along with six new characters hand-picked from several different eras and locations all through time. But a new boss awaits the victor... who or what is behind this new tournament? You'll have to get to him to find out!
This sequel features all-new stages and music, and improved animation and graphics. You can now reflect projectile moves at your opponent, and reverse normal throws if your timing is right! The original game's Death Match mode is also back, but with a new feature - the life bar will increase or decrease as you inflict or receive damage. Get your side's life bar to 100% and your enemy will lose.

Meh another Neo Geo that fails to hold my intreast. The first World Heroes sounds pritty generic and i have a feeling this will only be slighty enjoyable. Still i had a feeling this would come soon though.
Ehm, couldn't you find any better vid? Sorry to complain, but that's a bit poor in comparison to what I have come to expect from you guys.
Wow, so after this one releases, there will be World Heroes 2 Jet and World Heroes Perfect left. World Heroes Perfect is by far the best in the series. Huge improvement over the previous ones.
Why get this, when you will no doubt be able to get World Heroes Perfect at a later stage? Same goes for Fatal Fury 1 and 2 when Fatal Fury Special will be released. Yawn. I grow tired of the VC.
Charco, maybe people want the full set. I do. I don't just buy Ocarina because it's the bext Zelda, I get ALTTP too.
Demon, you can't compare those games. A new zelda never renders an older one redundant, as it boasts new areas and levels to explore, new enemies to battle and new riddles to solve, whereas a new World Heroes...is just better than the old ones with more characters and better playability.
Love this game back in arcades.
The evil football player looks pretty cool. I want him to play for the St. Louis Rams maybe they will have a better season.
This is the last version with the "Deathmatch mode", but I´ll wait and hope WH Perfect makes it to VC anyway.
@Tony
If he's a quarterback, I'd want him to be on the Bears. He'd kick grossman's butt all over chicago.
Great, just what we all need. A sequel to another crappy NEO-GEO fighter.
Demon, Keeper is right. Each Zelda game is distinctly different from each other, so it's worth owning all of them. Sequels like this play just like the first game, except better.
Wait for World Heroes Perfect or at the very least, World Heroes 2 Jet. I've always liked the World Heroes games, despite their lackluster reputation among Neo Geo fans.
Hmm... I love one-on-one fighters, and this one has a great list of characters, but I'll probably pass.
This was my favorite WH game, just bc the others were called Jet and Perfect doesn not make them better. This one had the best backgrounds, music, and was more original. The games after this were solid, but were tweaked with super moves, but the presentation was inferior, IMHO
I agree with DIRTY.
Has anyone played Neo Geo Fighting Coliseum? Hanzo, Fuuma, Mudman and Neo Dio appeared in that game; makes me wish for a World Heroes 3 using those sprites and the other characters from the World Heroes games redone the same way. All four of the characters redesigns looked a whole lot better than they used to in World Heroes.
