Cheers Sean. You can't believe how proud I am (personally proud) of the guys. They seem to have really taken onboard suggestions etc by you chaps, listened to my concerns/suggestions and put together a little gem.
I was playing the free fly mode and decided to whip out the landing gear and see if landing was possible. As it turns out, you can land pretty much everywhere, even on water.

Just beat it on the American side...haven't tried flying as Japan.
Definitely a lot of fun, and the non-mission dog-fighting option (I forget what it's called...Sky Ace or something...) is very addictive. I do wish it put a little star or something next to the levels that you've completed, or somehow maintained records of how many planes you shot down or something...giving you something to reach for on replays. Hopefully in future episodes we'll get this.
Overall, I'd say this is probably a high 8/10. I'm not doing the review here, so don't take that as an official NL opinion or anything...but there you go. I'll give the Japan missions a whirl soon.
Is there multiplayer? How long is it? Also, is there a cockpit mode?
Cockpit mode would be cool but I imagine REALLY REALLY hard to play. lol Also there isn't any multiplayer, but Legendo is planning to make this a Trilogy, so I imagine one would have multiplayer. Best you support the game to get your multiplayer action. I mean at 7 bucks you can't go wrong.
The thing that I think personally about MP, is what kind of percentage of Wii owner's actually play online? I know a huge percentage of you dudes here do but then generally speaking, the average Wii owner's pretty much oblvious of getting it online let alone online gaming?
You know what you should add? National Socialist War-machines and UFOs. Totally historically accurate. During Pearl Harbor back in Berlin they were constructing them. You should have the final boss be an alien UFO and then every nation in the world gets together, INCLUDING GERMANY AND JAPAN and fight together as one! To defend the Earth!
Drat! That means I'm stuck with the Wiimote and Wiimote/Nunchuck control schemes. Is it really so hard to add GameCube controller support after making Classic Controller support? When you make a traditional control scheme, Classic and GameCube controllers should automatically be considered together. Either do both or neither.
Yes, it is:) To add GCN controller support is another thing on the list, adding the Classic's totally different. Sorry fella but there are some brilliant control options for you to give a go!
I'm aware of that, but it shouldn't be any more difficult or take any longer than what you did to include Classic controller support.. GC controller support should still be automatically linked to Classic controller support in the developers' minds. Please correct this oversight in the other two games. It could be different in this game, but my experiences with Sonic and the Secret Rings, Mario Kart Wii, and Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing have shown me that tilt steering doesn't work well without MotionPlus, and I'm not going to spend $20 just to improve the controls for this trilogy and Eduardo the Samurai Toaster.
As for online play, I think most people who would connect to the Wii Shop Channel to buy this game in the first place also play games online.
Ash: Professor Oak, how's your Bulbasaur?
Prof. Oak: Oh, it only hurts when I sit.
...
Prof. Oak: It's only Chansey if Krabby won't let go. Bye, now.
Ash: I don't think I'm going to call him anymore.

If you have your Wii connected online (which you do if you download a WiiWare game), there's a very high chance that you're going to play it online. I'll be very disappointed if not even one of these episodes has online MP.

This. I still play Overturn online, despite there not being many players on it. If this gets online support (and as long as it's advertised well), then it could be a big success.
