Dr. Mario and Tetris are as great as they've ever been. Lost Winds and Bomberman Blast are decent. Mega Man 9 is the best Mega Man game there is, and one of my favorite games of all time. Bit Trip Beat should be up there with Mega Man, but the difficulty curve is too steep and should be more gradual. The worst part is that it doesn't save when you want. I got to Overgrowth three times, but since I didn't get a high score, it didn't save, and that really, really annoys me. I shouldn't have to unlock the same level over and over again. Oh well, hopefully the next one in the series will be even better and I can forget this.
Why not? I'm not going to rate something out of a scale that is lacking. It's just like how some teachers believe there is no such thing as a perfect essay (there isn't). You can always improve on something in a video game, so a game is never going to be a perfect 10/10.

If 10/10 is not a possible score, then 9/10 becomes perfect. Rating systems are inherently flawed, especially if you consider the best possible score to indicate perfection rather than simply meaning something like: This is the best game of its genre, or This game has infinite replay value. Most 10/10 reviewers will be quick to explain that the game awarded this sought-after score is not perfect. That's not what the score should be read as. It just means "best of the best."
I fought the urge to rate it even lower out of rage. The problem is that I've NEVER managed to have a non-buggy online experience! Maybe it's lag or something, but characters keep jumping around and then the game hangs when the round ends, and it hangs for AGES. Bah! It's embarrassing to play with friends over because then they think Wii online sucks.
For now I'll stick with Tetris Party, Dr. Mario and Mario Kart for my online fun.
