I wouldn't say that Meme Run is misunderstood. From my understanding, it's a quick cash grab piggybacking off of the success off of games such as Flappy Bird, using memes as the main selling point. Throw in some pretty basic, yet flawed gameplay that gives the game false difficulty, and I'd say that's it in a nutshell.
Bearing in mind that I live in the UK, so I haven't been able to play it, (not that I really want to...) so feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

I don't like the new quick scope animation, it should at least be a little bit smoother. To get bigley you press either b or y on the title screen, and it gives you the alternate level too.

The developer is a scumbag and the game has zero reason to be on a home console, let alone be $5 for $0 of of effort.

This. The hate for the game is irate (it's so bad that it's not even worth hating on), but the developer and his Twitter fits made the game rather infamous, which was either dumb luck or viral marketing. Whatever got his game in the hands of so many 10-year-olds I'll never know, but I do know one thing, and that's that we have a bleak future if that's how things work. That's why I dislike the game so much, the guy who made it is as immature as his fan base. However, I'm smart enough to have recognized how I can hurt him financially (staving him of his internet fame) and ignore his publicity stunts. It seems as though nobody else will catch on unfortunately. And so he has got what he wanted from our pitiful community here at Nintendo Life. A sad day for us gamers.
