We downloaded some stages for Versus and the My Kong mode. Versus is really fun. My Kong was pretty fun to, although i would only recomend it now when it's 80% off. Also disappointed by the lack of options (like setting time). Overall i would say it's worth it for Versus.

Buy "i am the kong" mode only. it's worth every cent and better multiplayer than nintendoland imho.

Old Nintendofan from up north...

As I said I got if for £23 at launch for the full retail game. There appears to be around 30% less content when you have all these DL packs as a whole than the retail version. It also works out as a bit more expensive downloading this 30% less content (if you choose to). I'm happy with the retail disc but may DL my kong mode whilst it's discounted as I may decide to sell the disc in the future. The essential downloads are the story mode, my kong and one of the verse arena modes IMHO. Like I said, it appears there's more content at a cheaper price on retail.

The main strength is local multiplayer. Online wouldn't work for this kind of game.

The main strength looks like arcade multiplayer with everyone having their own screens, but you're not going to get that at home unless it's two-player, so I think online would be a nice compromise. I don't see how "it doesn't work" though. You're playing team or versus in quick rounds - where's the incompatibility? Just because the game is short doesn't mean that wouldn't be fun. You could have an online tournament mode.

Because fun in this game is in the social interactions, moreso than the game itself.

Beers, friends, and hours of play time.

Much like Smash Brothers. Even if the fighting was lag free, the online experience will always pale compared to local multi.

This is usually my opinion of multiplayer as a whole, though I don't drink. MMOs and sometimes FPS are the main exceptions for me. It's also the only way Mario Kart 7 was as fun as most previous titles in that series.

It would be great if someone could confirm if/which content is gone from the DL version,
and then ask Namco Bandai if they're holding back DLC for a later date.

I payed for the story mode and my kong mode.

Brilliant game, totally addictive, great multiplayer madness, not bad graphics, destructable environment and enemy armour. Over 30 missions(i'm on mission 32 so far)

I've played this a bit and I enjoy it. I don't know if I will buy anymore DLC, I've already purchased Kong Mode. But it's a good game in short bursts for me, nice and simple gameplay, can imagine it would be very fun to play multiplayer with the lads and a few beers :-)

I might pick up Kong Mode on account of the sale and the missions could be fun. Bit of old school arcade action for less than a tenner is alright. I do wish they had proper dual stick tank controls, however like Assault or Battle Zone.

Well Tank! Tank! Tank! is finally being released on the U.S. eShop. What is the best Game Mode to play with in Co-Op?

The free download has all the data, about 1600 MB each piece is basically an unlock key

You haven't played a good videogame until you have played Metroid Prime.

The free download lets you play a 3 matches a day and will be free forever. Purchasing even 1 download will let you play the free content and your downloaded content as much as you want

So just but one stage for $2 and you've basically got a decent game for a bargain price!
